Thread 23. TTC #1 - New Year, New Opportunities. Let's keep those BFPs rolling in!

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

been absent on this for a wee while, sorry ladies... I'll catch up!

I've kinda worked out that I'm CD 20 atm - first cycle after the pill - and got positive ovulation tests over the last two days. So I have a little peace of mind that things are "waking up" in there but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

So going on new calculations AF should be here in 2 or so weeks which is... unexpected from previous post. Doesn't explain the continued cramping.. anyone had this before, during and after ovulation??

I also suspect that I have the start of cystitis or thrush from too much DTD Blush Is there any safe treatments for these when TTC? I heard thrush treatments kill off sperm?

It's unlikely I'm PG but don't want to take any chances!

Kathrino · 11/01/2017 20:10

Oh pug, I have no advice but I'm hoping that the little bean sticks. Do you have a doctor that you can call tomorrow to talk about what's happening? Sending lots of love and good vibes your way Flowers

HepKestrel · 11/01/2017 20:12

LSFX for you pug your pee might have just been more dilute.

OnNaturesCourse · 11/01/2017 20:12

pug

sorry, I just seen your post. have you consulted a doctor or anyone?

kwick · 11/01/2017 20:22

pug ok first of all try not to panic - it can be quite usual to spot throughout pregnancy - this actually happened to my cousin who now has lovely healthy happy twins. I would strongly recommend that you get yourself to an Early Pregnancy Unit tomorrow morning. Google this - I am not sure where you are - many accept walk-ins. I went to University College Hospital London.
I really hope all is okay - we are here for you if you need us. God speed. Flowers

Kaydee2017 · 11/01/2017 20:40

Pug I second the recommendation to contact an EPU if you can, for reassurance / a scan, they deal with this sort of thing often so are well placed to advise you. Fx it was just the time of day re the test Flowers

Flashinthepan · 11/01/2017 20:44

pug it is most likely nothing. It is very common and most women go on to have healthy lovely babies.

But I have to say this not because I'm trying to be dramatic or unkind but, if you start to experience pain or the bleeding gets heavy and is dark brown and liquidy please go straight to the hospital. Hugs for you.

InspectorPenguin · 11/01/2017 21:15

Thinking of you Pug Flowers
It must be a horrible time right now but try not to panic (easier said than done, I'm sure). I really hope things improve overnight and tomorrow x

WingingIt83 · 11/01/2017 21:30

alexia can't add any more than others have already said but thinking of you x

pug try not to panic if you can and the advise above about going to an epu to hopefully put your mind at rest x

Peaches8Posies · 11/01/2017 21:44

pug I agree with everything said here. My close friend had same scenario as you and has a happy healthy daughter. In fact it happened throughout her second pregnancy. But get yourself to the epu they can check you over and hopefully reassurance can be given.

It's shit that this pregnancy lark can't be as nice and straight forward as we deserve FlowersSad

Sshsecretenclosed · 11/01/2017 21:48

Oh my - High fertility on Cb OPK this morn. Now very stretchy EWCM. I'm feeling a bit worried I now think my body is doing something post pill and on day 12! Don't want to get my hopes up that I'll ovulate first cycle

Sshsecretenclosed · 11/01/2017 21:51

pug I've just seen your message. Sending love and agree with others, get yourself checked out to be safe.

geeup · 11/01/2017 22:07

Pug I'm so sorry you have this to worry about. I do hope it's just one of those worrying things and that your bean is safe tucked up in there and it's just making space for itself. Look after yourself.

HepKestrel · 11/01/2017 22:18

ssh sounds good! get on with the dtd!

Londonjam · 11/01/2017 22:26

Oh pug what a worry 😕 i hope you can get to an epu tomorrow and that everything is okay lovely 💐💐💐

Thanks for your kind words fxskip for all of us 💐💐

Hello inspector lovely to see you glad you are doing well and glad you are still with us 😊 Sounds like you are nailing the relaxed approach and that it suits you. I'm doing a lot better thanks, DH and I are fine and I'm trying to be more understanding about the effect it has on him. We had my grandmas funeral today and I feel a sense of calm and closure at having paid tribute to her. It was a lovely service.

Loving all this exercise talk I am absolutely joining that bandwagon. Healthy eating, more exercise and yoga are all going to slowly become part of my routine.

Naturescourse I get ovulation pain before during and after, think it's normal. Get plenty of water down you if it's cystitis and if you need treatment check with your pharmacist about drugs and TTC.

Pyjamas81 · 11/01/2017 22:32

So sorry to hear about your worry pug - I hope you get answers soon and have all my fx for you 💐

Am on 12dpo and was still in bad mood this morning - although still not sure whether it's impending af or hating my job. Probably both. No other symptoms other than a slightly heavy feeling in uterus area, but that's probably af getting ready to drop kick me again. Wish Saturday would just hurry the fuck up so I can either celebrate with DH or try and enjoy our fuck it day.

Have personal training session at 6.30am tomorrow - brutal... 😫

Pugmummy87 · 12/01/2017 06:30

Thank you all for your kind words. I will be ringing the EPU when they open this morning. Bleeding has increased overnight and is a bit clotty, a frer this morning with fmu has a squinted of a bfp so I know deep down that it's all over.
I will let you all know what EPU say/do, but I think I will probably be taking a break from mn for a while. I am devastated.

FXSkip · 12/01/2017 07:05

Ouch pyjamas that's rough. I'm usually up at 5am but since my mc I have barely got up before 8 😭

pug I am so so sorry, it's such an awful feeling waiting for the inevitable, I know. Trust me when I say you will get through this and the experience will make you stronger. Take all the support you need, take time to grieve and rest.

miwelaisjacydo · 12/01/2017 07:07

Alexia 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐 am so sorry.

miwelaisjacydo · 12/01/2017 07:08

Pug hope you get answers soon. Fx for you xxxx

Hippychic79 · 12/01/2017 07:24

Pug - I don't know what to say other than I echo what others are saying and that I'm sending you love and hugs xxx

Alexia - again I don't know what to say other than echo what others are saying and also sending you lots of love and hugs xxx

HepKestrel · 12/01/2017 07:30

pug so sorry for you. Take a break. And come back when you are ready. You and Alexia are stronger than you may think you are. Flowers

Just want to add that some of grads have had MC in the past. So it's crap but it's just a stumble on your journey to being the fantastic mother's you both deserve to be.

We will be here if you need us.

Londonjam · 12/01/2017 08:02

So very sad to hear this pug 😞 sending you strength and hugs my love, please look after yourself 💐💐💐

kwick · 12/01/2017 08:24

jam Flowers it is good to get closure. It sounds like your Grannie had a good innings.
It does upset me that none of my grandparents will ever hold my baby... shit crying on the bus is not a good look!
I kinda wish I had got a wriggle on about 15 years ago!!!

pug Flowers I am so very sorry. Take all the time you need - we will be here for you when you are ready to return.
And what hep said - I had a MC last April. Take the time you need to grieve and rest.

Miranda234 · 12/01/2017 08:41

So sorry pug Flowers thinking of you
