Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Quick random question for all the oldies on here, does anyone know when Starky had her baby/what she had?

skipper that's amazing, congrats. I remember being so nervous too!

Flash She had a baby boy called Lawrence Elijah Bryn weighing roughly 8lb 15oz if I remember correctly, ended up with a c-section after a 24 labour or something. Believe she had him Nov 28th or very very close to that date. Promise I'm not a stalker, just have a good memory!

Flash, Starky appears from time to time under a new name...pretty sure she promised us pictures last time! I think she had a boy about 6 (?) weeks ago. She's still on the grads thread.

sk1pper, I spent ages rehearsing with my DH when we went to register the marriage so we'd know the answers to the questions because I was so worried. In the end, the reigstrar looked at us and said she didn't need to ask as anything. I was so disappointed!

Alexia - thank you for sharing! It's funny how everyone has such a different experience in terms of their symptoms. What I take from that is you can't rule anything in or out until you get that BFP.

Congrats sk1p ! When we had our wedding meeting Dh got the date of our wedding wrong lol!

Kathrino I agree. I found some of it extra weird so I started noting it down. Never done that before but glad I did. I think expect the unexpected!

Alexia, those symptoms sounds very similar to what I experienced too. The headache thing for me was weird because I never have headaches. Sounds very promising. So are you waiting till FMU to do that FRER? I don't think you need to wait personally. 😇

That's interesting to know Mouse. I'm the same with headaches! I posted my frer a page or so back. It was with diluted afternoon pee. Only 10dpo so it's a squinter but there IRL.

We don't have a boots near us (they closed it recently) and Superdrug only had one pack of FRERs left so I'm keeping the other for tomorrow morning. I did get some other tests too but as long as AF stays away I'm happy waiting.

Anyone mind telling me what they think of this opk please? CD 21 today out of 34 cycle and this is first time I've had anything other than a completely negative opk. Could this be the start of the surge or nothing meaningful? Should I test again tonight? Thanks

Thanks for the symptoms list alexia I definitely get cm in the TWW but not usually as much as you're describing so that sounds like a potential giveaway if I ever do conceive

Good symptom spotting alexia I always get shed loads of creamy but not sticky in tww so not sure I'd be able to notice that as a symptom but the smell thing seems pretty consistent amongst a lot of you

May I please make a general plea that testers have a FRER to hand - even if they start with a IC. And yes I do not have shares in the company!

kwick I have ordered some FRER today. It should arrive tomorrow so will test again Sunday morning.

What are the best pregnancy test to use?
There are so many of them it gets confusing.

After Alexia's wonderful postime about symptoms I checked my record and I think I ovulated later than I thought...
There was plenty of DTD so should not rule me out but not sure when to test now...

orange FRER all the way!!

So I hot my bloods back:
HCG went from 187 to 887 - very good!
Progesterone is at 164 - highest it has EVER been even when I have been on 3 different meds.
Told main boss - she was happy for me but I kinda of have to find solutions to the trips I cannot make...
Oh well - it is what it is!!!

fxskip thanks for your analysis - from what I can see, those that are DTD -2 and -1 from ovulation seem key!!! With me insemination was on day of ovulatoon but magic potion is placed directly into cavity - does not need to travel far.

Hurrah for your good results kwick, I bet that's a weight off your mind!

Orange, I would say FRER are the best because they're so sensitive plus they don't seem to run or become splodgy as much as others. I'm no expert though!

Oohh you have made me feel better about my timings. Im now on cd 18 but only got a positive opk yesterday so had dtd the day before that but not yesterday & dh is a bit resistant today as we dtd lots round days 11-15 as thats my typical ovulation. Hopefully all is not lost.

Someone dropped a baby bomb today at work. I am genuinely pleased for her but she had only been off the pill for one month, so I'm a teeny bit jealous .

I saw my friend earlier who is 7 months pregnant and now i cant get rid of the physical pain of how much i want to be in that position. Dh wasnt up for dtd either and im worried we will not have the timings right now.

Kwick, how long do the digital show the display? I have another to do tomorrow. A week since my last. DH is still in disbelief and talks like I'm not actually upduffed. Hopefully tomorrow it will be 3+

Alexia, my DH said this to me 3 years ago the first time we were TTC. If it does happen this month, then we go again. Until it happens. And we never give up. Ever. Fx for tomorrow, I hope you can sleep!! 😘

EJ it is physical the longing for it, I completely sympathise. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself or your DH. Could he be persuaded in the morning perhaps?

Came home and wept again this evening. Think DH might get tired of this and trade me in! Then defo no BFP lol
