Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

Happy New Year! It's 2017 and it's OUR year Star

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Jam, I think it must be really weird to be at a medical appointment with DH so I can understand why it's a bit of a strange dynamic. In some ways, I think I would prefer to do them by myself but I realise that's neither practical nor fair! Thinking of you lovely lady Flowers

Welcome Tonk and Ginger!

Binky, I caved and bought some tests yesterday but they are staying firmly in their box until tomorrow. FX!

Winging, sorry for your baby bomb although it's always nice to hear a positive story about people who've managed to conceive despite difficulty. Doesn't make it any easier to take though. Good on your DH for booking in as well. Convincing my DH to do the same is going to be hard I think.

AF still not here (although last time I went to the loo, I mistakenly used the cubicle where the bulb has gone so had to check by the light of my phone...). Cramping on and off so think it won't be long though.

Pugmummy87 · 06/01/2017 13:11

Wow, thank you all so much for your lovely comments. I can't quite believe it. This was cycle 16 I think. Here is a FRER I took at lunchtime, the ic was second morning urine.

This was the worst month I've had ttc, terrible diet, drank lots, hardly took my vitamins Blush. I rejoined slimming world Wednesday evening!
Rest assured I've just taken some folic acid!

No symptoms really. I feel normal. The only thing I have noticed is I'm not spotty and a stronger sense of smell last couple of days. Kept telling DH the dogs smelt and I had to chuck the camembert last night as the smell was too much, whereas DH was like 'it doesn't smell that bad'. Now it makes sense lol.

I've taken advantage of boots 3 for 2 on fertility products and bought 2 packs of frers and a digi. Going to keep testing next couple of days, I'm paranoid about a chemical.

However, keep reminding myself of Kwick mantra 'today I am pregnant'.

Alexia really hope you get hold of a frer, if you lived near me I would so drop round one of mine for you to use! You are preggers I'm sure of it.

jam thank you so much for your lovely words. I'm sorry you've had such a crap start to 2017, but I have every faith that you will join the grads this year!

katharino I hope AF stays away for you too.

This is the best birthday present ever.

No mistaking it Pug congrats and yes - you are pregnant. I'm finding just imagining the tiny bean each day working quite well, trying not to get ahead of myself. I feel so bloated it's hard to believe it's still only a grain of rice - I look like I've eaten a small country.

WingingIt83 · 06/01/2017 13:27

pug wow cycle 16 that gives us all hope! Any change in dtd routines at all? Last months bfps definitely seemed to be along the 'less is more' lines!

Miranda234 · 06/01/2017 13:32

Aw huge congrats pug

MissyJones83 · 06/01/2017 13:51

Yay pug such good news xxx

Pyjamas81 · 06/01/2017 14:00

Yay yay yay pug!! So happy for you!!

GingerHanna · 06/01/2017 14:03

Good point winging... I think I'm in the wrong place! I originally typed out ttc1 but then realized that this was inaccurate due to the miscarriage... I'm off to go find the right place now. :)

WingingIt83 · 06/01/2017 14:06

We welcome everyone ginger so stick around Smile

Kathrino · 06/01/2017 14:08

Ginger, a number of people on the thread have had MC in the past too and you're very welcome here. I'm so sorry for your MC Flowers

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 14:22

Amazing line Pug. Congrats Star

I got some FRERs finally and tested with about 6mu diluted urine. I see a faint line. Praying I see progression tomorrow. This is cycle 20 and I'm desperate!

Loads to catch up on. Going back to read everything x

Fx for you Alexia
Ginger you are in the right place.

WingingIt83 · 06/01/2017 14:45

It's so reassuring to see these bfps after so many cycles!
ginger sorry I misinterpreted your first post you are def in the right place, lots of ladies in similar circumstances here :-)

I've got a stinking cold so been off work for a couple of days. Hope it doesn't delay the egg, especially as Dh booked in at create on cd 21. I'm only on cd now so hopefully not but might have to start temping again just for reassurance despite what I said at start of cycle! !

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 14:47

You're all so lovely Flowers Thanks!

Skip I'm literally so scared about another chemical Sad Don't know if my heart can take it! Everything is riding on that frer tomorrow morning. Great stats, btw!

Don't worry Flash you'll pick it all up quickly. The forum really helped me learn the ropes. If I was you I'd manually override O day so that it doesn't mess up your stats for future cycles as the crosshairs are definitely in the wrong position. Then you'll have more accurate data. You could start opks if you feel up to it, they will give you a heads up on when O is coming, temps will confirm it. Top tip for all make sure you dtd O-2 and O-1 - these are the key days!

I'm sorry 2017 has been so shitty so far jam. It made me so sad reading your post, sending you big hugs Flowers I know good things are coming your way xx

Welcome Ginger and sorry to hear about your MC. Please stick around as effectively you are still ttc your first take home baby like many of us here Flowers

Keeping my fx for you Kathrino and Binky and anyone else testing soon.

Winging well done to your OH for booking the SA. Fx all goes smoothly.

Did I do anything differently this cycle? Yes. But I believe it's luck, femara and also the changes we made to maximise DH's sperm a good few months ago. I also started B100 complex, Bromelain supps and kept my feet warm.

We had more sex and continued into the tww but made sure to nail O-2 and O-1 which fell on Xmas day and Boxing day. We'd had a rare drink and it was the first time in a while it was fun, passionate sex not just boring make-a-baby-omg-please-hurry-up-and-cum sex! I didn't overthink it or use any fertile lube as I'd forgotten to pack it.

I have been writing down some symptoms I've had in my phone notes during the tww. They're a bit strange and tmi but will post if people are interested.

YES WERE INTERESTED!!!! (Well I am Grin)

Pugmummy87 · 06/01/2017 15:22

winging I think we dtd a little more, we dtd 0-3 0-2 & 0-1 in fertile window, but had regular sex before and after. I think they key is dtd on 0-2/0-1. Gives time for the sperm to get to where they are needed, ready and waiting for the egg.
Oh and I used my ovusense sensor which I think really helped in predicting ovulation and then confirming it. Who knows, could have been a total fluke!

Also, the only other thing I have noticed is my resting heart rate has increased! I wear my fitbit all the time and in the last 6 days it's definitely gone up.

alexia I think I can see a faint line too. Definitely try with fmu tomorrow!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:23

Ginger this is a great thread, my first and favourite, but if you're looking for some extra support for TTC post MC, there's a thread for that too, which I'm also on and you might like to have a poke around on there too.

Link to current TTC post-MC thread:

I just spoke to the GP who said that as I'm having regular length periods, she's not super concerned about a few days light spotting but that if I want to see someone I can go and she will refer me to the community gynae. But she was reassuring and said they didn't see anything worrying during surgery so there's no reason to think it will happen again. I know it's pathetic I'm just desperate for any kind of reassurance!

sk1pper · 06/01/2017 15:23

Flash - fish oil and vit E are definitely safe. I've written in my book not to take Vit E during your period...can't remember why. Probably induces it more. Make sure it's fish oil not cod liver oil. Cod liver oil is very harmful to pregnant women and you don't want to risk it.

Kathrino · 06/01/2017 15:27

Alexia, surely you know by now that nothing is TMI for this thread?! I'd be very keen to know your symptoms if you're happy to share.

Winging, so many people are ill at the moment with really nasty colds. Look after yourself! Flowers

Flash, it's not pathetic at all! Having been through what you've been through, it's no wonder that you're worried. I'm glad the GP was able to help reassure you though.

This afternoon is really dragging. There's only so much time I can spend knicker checking...all my clothes feel really tight too but I think it's just a combo of overeating and spending the last few weeks wearing clothes with elasticated waists...

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:31

Thanks skipper and kathrino. Definitely not TMI Alexia we need to know what we will (hopefully) be in for soon!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 15:31

Sorry Ginger i see you already found that thread!

Presh88 · 06/01/2017 15:32

Congratulations pug and keeping my fx for a nice strong line tomorrow alexia!

AlexiaB · 06/01/2017 15:33

Lol girls! Feel quite Blush at some of it but here goes...

LOADS of super creamy CM, very white and wet. Saturated my underwear, especially at 6&7dpo.

Night nausea. 3 times between 1dpo and 7dpo I woke suddenly feeling sick at around 1.30-2am. I never actually threw up, just had weird burps and gas and weirdly always had to do a no.2. Bizarre!

I got some sore stopped-me-in-my-tracks shooty stabby pains on the top left side of my pubic bone late 5dpo and into 6dpo.

More creamy, wet CM 8dpo. Bad headache 2 days in a row (8&9dpo), regular odd twinges, gassy. From 7dpo had a cold/runny nose despite being boiling hot constantly. No sore boobs the whole tww but boobs feel a bit bigger.

Butterfly feelings 9dpo, mild period cramps 10dpo.

Alexia - your symptom record is amazing. Unfortunately I've had nearly every symptom on there at one stage or another in the 2ww. Ho hum!

OH and I registered for our marriage today, I was so nervous when she was asking me the questions. I have the postcode of our previous address and I nearly had a mind blank when she asked me OHs surname. I hate it when I get like that! We also both spent 10 mins looking at toddler clothes in Next, a women came over and asked if we needed help and we both burst out laughing. We know she meant with the clothes but we were both thinking something different.
