How heavy was your implantation bleed?

So this is month 2 of TTC, so I don't really know what to expect.

Have used Preseed lube this month, and tried almost daily around the time when I thought I was ovulating.

I have then had very sore boobs, increased sense of smell, headaches in morning, etc.

My period is due on Monday, but last night I started getting cramps like my period, and started to bleed pink/reddish, and it's heavier today.

Last night there was enough to cover half a liner, and I thought I might use a tampon today.
I'm not sure if it is period or implantation bleeding, as it is 3 days early and I have never had early periods before.

My questions are....how heavy was your implantation bleed, what colour was it, and how long did the bleeding last?

Also, how many days after the bleeding started did you get your BFP?

Thank you for reading. I was hoping to find out today that it was a BFP in time for Christmas Day, so it looks like I'm probably out this month, but was hoping for some positive stories!

@wannabemum1989 I know what you mean. It’s so stressful. I notice everything as well and then look up the symptoms and keep looking until I find an answer that suits me 😂🙈 I’m really hoping this cycle will be the one. I’ve never used ovulation tests until now so I’m going to give it ago and see if that helps as I have irregular periods, although the last cycles we have made sure we are trying every couple of day’s and still go no where so who knows. This was the weirdest cycle I do wonder if I had a chemical pregnancy which I’d never even heard of before this but it seems to fit. Positivity is key I’m sure! I know A fair few people that haven’t been able to conceive, as soon as they accept it Won’t happen or decide to stop the pressure is off and they’ve fallen Pregnant! So I’m sure stress plays a big part!

@wannabemum1989 I am experiencing almost exact symptoms as yours, down to the back ache that feels like heartburn. My period was 3 days early and very light, it turned a bit heavier but not as heavy as it normally has. Still feeling other symptoms especially nausea... Will also likely wait it out.

Hello ladies, I’m in a similar position. Bleeding 10DPO but much heavier than what I would think would be spotting. I’m nearly a week early for AF but seeing this post has given me hope. Has anyone had a positive outcome after bleeding?

My story is a bit confusing and 2 weeks now I'm completely crazy... on 19th June I had unprotected sex( my period tracker shows that I'm In ovulating period) I took morning after pill 16 h after the "accident", my GP said normally MAP are not effective during ovulation, weight also is important.. anyway, my AF date was for 3/07, normally before my period I have cramps, awful headaches and sore boobs, this time I have only very sensitive nipples and very light cramps.. last night I went to the loo and when I wipe myself I notice dark brown line on the toilet paper, 2h after turn into a pink line only when I wipe it.. today when I wake up was much more, and getting heavy.. the pad is not completely full (most of is when I wipe myself) the confusing thing is that my symptoms are not like they used to be... I feel sick, my boobs not sore at all, time to time abdominal pain but no need any painkillers.. so could be implantation bleeding or just my AF is different because of the Morning after pill? I read a lot in internet and everything confused me...

I have be trying to conceive for de first time though and the problem is dat i have irregular periods since at high school and so its really hard for me to track anything bcz i dnt know when to expect my periods.

This April i got my periods and on May too. I started on the 28th of May and finished on the 1st of June and from the 3rd of June ive been having unprotected sex, i was only skipping one or two days without having sex. Then from the 28th of June i started having abdominal pain on de left side and i also had lower back pains on de same side, the pain lasted for 3 days. After dat i started having rib sharp pains at night for days and my boobs got full and heavy, after dat my whole body started aching every day in de nyt for few days thou, my arms were also aching,my hands and my left leg ached, i was also bloated, farting now and den lol. I also noticed metallic taste on my mouth for few days too. I also had sleepless nyts for 2 days. Bcz of all dese signs i have tested twice and de results were both negetive but i kept on thinking dat i took de tests early. Few days i have been feeling sooooooo tired and sleepy and den on the 9th of this month i started bleeding, on de first dat it was so light and brown and i only used a pantyliner. Yesterday it was a bit heavy and clots has been coming out and today its heavy wt cloths and it looks like my usual periods.
So im really confused, im just wondering whether its a heavy implantation bleeding or its just my periods. I cant even tell when i was even suppose to have my next periods bcz i have irregular periods.

I've been reading this post and I'm experiencing the same thing. Stopped taking the pill beginning of the year, ever since then my cycle is 38 days long period due in a week. Around 8 Dpo I started getting very unusual cramps, not like I have had before then wiped and got pink/red on a tissue. Thought its was an early period but it's so light in fact it hasnt filled a panty liner. Just dosent feel right I'm normally heavy for 4 days. Still getting cramps, I've been moody and lightheaded but I have also got a water infection so I have no idea what's going on. Any similar experiences?

Hello ladies, i was due on my period on the 7th of august. I started bleeding 5 days early on the 2nd. On the first day i filled a full tampon and then for the past 2 days i have had a tampon in (sorry TMI) the tampons have not filled there has been a tiny bit of brown blood on the tops of each one. Anyone have any ideas of what could be happening?

I have experienced the same thing. I'm bleeding quite heavy but did 2 pregnancy test (1 a week ago and another yesterday) and both came out pregnant... I'm bleeding heaviling and really concerned that I've miscarried. After all of that are you pregnant?

Just wanted to share my story as I've missed my first period.

My implantation bleeding which I had in June for 5 days was heavier than my period and had clots and my last period was beginning of this month I bled for 4 days with some clots like I'd normally have during my Af and thought that was what it it was even though I was was having pregnancy symtoms and it mad me suspicious.

Yes, one can have heavy implantation bleeding with clots.

@elasteph thank you for sharing. I've been going crazy searching everywhere for some answers but won't really know for sure till I see the GP. It's day 2 of bleeding heavily with clots (heavier than my normal period). I'm tempted to take another pregnancy test but think it would be better to wait a few more days... Maybe another 2 days and I'll try a test again.

@Jelly2020123 I know it's hard but please try to be calm. You can go to epu or wait and take another pregnancy test after the bleeding stops and see your gp.

I too found this conversation this evening and decided to join to share my story as well.
AF is not due until FRI 11 Sep for me, my cycles have been very regular for a long time now since stopping contraceptive pill in 2014, haven't been on any BC since.
AF comes at the same time every month for me.
My partner and I have been trying to conceive and first day of my last period was FRI 14 August. We had sex from 21 August to 27 August, thought may as well as surely we will have some luck (I have had 2 previous miscarriages one at 10weeks with only an embryonic sac on US and I suspect the second one the same but happened much earlier on) both were extremely painful and caused so much cramping and I wish to never experience that again.

Last week I felt so fatigued and found myself napping during the day and drinking heaps of water, also feeling uncomfortable at night and hot + plus waking for more water and to use the bathroom. I also experienced some funny crampy type feelings too but nothing like a period.
Yesterday afternoon/early evening however I started getting cramping and accompanied by lower back pain and blood, not too much. It kept me awake most of the night because it was uncomfortable and had to use a hotwater bottle to help soothe the cramps. This morning though the blood was a bit heavier and there were some small clots as well and this continued all day today too. Right now this evening there is no cramping at all, but still some bleeding.
I'm wondering if this is implantation bleeding and suspect it could be, as I haven't felt myself lately and feel like my body is changing. I decided to look on Google and do some searching and was reading that some woman experience heavy bleeding while some have light or none - so naturally you feel confused.

I know it's different from my period though because even though I've had regular cycles my first day of AF involves intense painful cramping that actively gets worse if I don't take something to help with the pain straight away (I no longer take painkillers, due to digestive health and usually control the pain with hotwater bottles and different herbal teas and essential oil body balms).

I shall wait to see what becomes of this bleeding and I too wanted to share my own journey with you here in case it helps our fellow women
I have not done a test and I'm just going to wait and see what happens, will definitely update on here when I know more about this journey love and blessings ladies X

Was searching on here and came across this old post.... wondering if anyone can help... or give me positive vibes! Have been ttc for 4 months dtd every other day for 4 months! Used ovulation tests! Done everything we should and every time AF arrives I cry and I’m so disappointed! I am due AF today but always have sore boobs before and not this time there fine! About 1 week ago I had really sore pain on right side like electric shocks was convinced it was implantation... have had really sore heads.. felt sicky been off some food and craving others. Today I’ve started bleeding but minor cramps it’s super light though and not like a usual period no sore boobs! My boobs are absolutely fine no pain I was so dissapointed when I started bleeding that I went online and ordered fertility vitamin capsules for myself and my partner and the lubricant gel! £70 in total! Now I’m thinking could I be pregnant? Has anyone else had this on day AF is due then turned out pregnant.. I think I’m out for this month just clinging onto hope!

Hi. I had the same issue about a month ago. Back in May 2nd I took a very very very early detection test and it was a very faint line. So I was like. Omg!!! So I continue to take one every single day. That really messed me up BUT a week after ( and mind you I had been having VERY STRANGE period cramps. I was expecting a period. It never came tho so) I started bleeding HEAVILY and I went to the ER and found out my HCG levels was only 30. I was having lots of pains in my left groin ovary area. I was afraid about ectopic.so the next day I went to the next towns ER which is much better they could actually do a sonogram. So I waited for EIGHT hours. Finally got it done. ONLY TO BE TOLD I WAS HAVING A MISCARRIAGE!! So with my head down I went home. I only bled for 3 days. That's it had sum weird light spotting before and after those 3 days. Anywho this month JUNE. I MISSED my period. Now I'm 3 months pregnant!!. Always remember that doctors don't know everything and don't EVER take an early detection test because it will cause unnecessary stress. Please don't hesitate to go to the ER if u are trying to have a baby and experience any kind of bleeding. PS sorry for the story without the bleeding symptoms LOL. The bleeding was HUGE HUGE CLOTS!! Very bright red blood and over all like my normal period. Hi everyone, I thought I'd add my story. I am looking for answers too.

I was on clomid and estrogen (CD 3-7 clomid, CD 8-12 estrogen) for two cycles (I have low FSH), and on the 3rd cycle we did my first IUI (with the clomid and estrogen) and a trigger shot. found out i have cervical stenosis (excruciating pain during IUI having a dilator put in).

My periods are usually light, not enough to fill a small tampon. my heaviest of period days can usually fill half a small tampon. (I'm petite also).

Anyways, so (yesterday night) at 7 days past trigger and 6 days past IUI I started spotting. (8 days early from my period due date) I have been off since stopping BC ( months ago) I usually get my period on time or maybe late, but NEVER early. I am still bleeding today, its not very heavy, but also like my normal flow in the begging of my period. TMI but to explain my periods the best i can, in the first few days its almost like if I'm laying down (no gravity) or sitting with my vagina tight and closed, then the blood cant flow out and doesn't come out much - sitting on the toilet with my legs open it will flow out and drip into the toilet- usually just need a liner or thin pad which i would change 2-3 times in the day. then on the 3rd day roughly, its heavier and needs a tampon but a small one and only fills half. My periods can last anywhere from 3-7 days.

right now i have a mix of brown, dark red, bright orange red (mostly dark brown/red). and its the same as the beginning of my period. Sometimes i wipe and its almost nothing, and other times its dripping into the toilet. I have mild cramps - not as bad as AF. not enough for a tampon, but change pad a few times in the day.

I just don't know what to think. Like i said, I never had my period come early. So FRUSTRATING!
