How heavy was your implantation bleed?

So this is month 2 of TTC, so I don't really know what to expect.

Have used Preseed lube this month, and tried almost daily around the time when I thought I was ovulating.

I have then had very sore boobs, increased sense of smell, headaches in morning, etc.

My period is due on Monday, but last night I started getting cramps like my period, and started to bleed pink/reddish, and it's heavier today.

Last night there was enough to cover half a liner, and I thought I might use a tampon today.
I'm not sure if it is period or implantation bleeding, as it is 3 days early and I have never had early periods before.

My questions are....how heavy was your implantation bleed, what colour was it, and how long did the bleeding last?

Also, how many days after the bleeding started did you get your BFP?

Thank you for reading. I was hoping to find out today that it was a BFP in time for Christmas Day, so it looks like I'm probably out this month, but was hoping for some positive stories!

Hiya I have TTC for last 4 months....I had a miscarriage in Jan and then fell pregnant in March and miscarried again (chemical pregnancy). We tried again last month and I have been tracking my cycle past few months (normally 5days) and day before my period I always get a brown discharge when I wipe. My AF was due Thrus, on Tuesday I had this slight discharge every time I wiped then Wednesday and Thursday I was bleeding heavy and had cramps. And today nothing. My AF has never been two days. I have been feeling very tired and nauseous. Could this be implantation bleeding or just a short period?

@bubzy30 it sounds like it could be either based on this experiences of others on the thread, have you done a test? X

@mhn93 I haven’t yet, I did one before and it was negative. But I haven’t since as I’ve read you won’t test positive until 48hrs after implantation. So I will wait it out. Meanwhile boobs are painful and been quite nauseous. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I thought I would share my experience seen as I was looking for the answers you are now! I believe I experienced heavy implantation bleeding, however it was roughly half way through my cycle! It took about 3 more weeks after that to get a positive on a test and even then it was faint! Did a clear blue test 1 week ago and got a strong positive! So there is still hope! I thought I'd add my story. I am looking for answers too.

I was on clomid and estrogen (CD 3-7 clomid, CD 8-12 estrogen) for two cycles (I have low FSH), and on the 3rd cycle we did my first IUI (with the clomid and estrogen) and a trigger shot. found out i have cervical stenosis (excruciating pain during IUI having a dilator put in).

My periods are usually light, not enough to fill a small tampon. my heaviest of period days can usually fill half a small tampon. (I'm petite also).

Anyways, so (yesterday night) at 7 days past trigger and 6 days past IUI I started spotting. (8 days early from my period due date) I have been off since stopping BC ( months ago) I usually get my period on time or maybe late, but NEVER early. I am still bleeding today, its not very heavy, but also like my normal flow in the begging of my period. TMI but to explain my periods the best i can, in the first few days its almost like if I'm laying down (no gravity) or sitting with my vagina tight and closed, then the blood cant flow out and doesn't come out much - sitting on the toilet with my legs open it will flow out and drip into the toilet- usually just need a liner or thin pad which i would change 2-3 times in the day. then on the 3rd day roughly, its heavier and needs a tampon but a small one and only fills half. My periods can last anywhere from 3-7 days.

right now i have a mix of brown, dark red, bright orange red (mostly dark brown/red). and its the same as the beginning of my period. Sometimes i wipe and its almost nothing, and other times its dripping into the toilet. I have mild cramps - not as bad as AF. not enough for a tampon, but change pad a few times in the day.

I just don't know what to think. Like i said, I never had my period come early. So FRUSTRATING!

I have never ever had implantation bleeding.

So this post has found it's way into my life and here we go.

TTC. Ovulation tests done and intercourse with my partner during ovulation. Anyway my period came and lasted two days heavy really heavy. Not its gone again only spotting when I wipe now. I've had white liquid leaking from my nipple (which only happened previously before I even had a bfp when I was 0pregnant with my DD.)

I'm confused right now is this AF?

This is the exact same as me.. third day now and only slight when I wipe. Yesterday and previous day heavy in the toilet nothing on pad... heavy when wiping. Bizarre lol. Xx

I’m so glad I found this thread! I am going through the same. I’ve been dizzy, such back pain, extremely tired and Urinating frequently! I was a few day’s late for my af However I have bright red af (tmi) it’s been going on for 3 days now it’s not like anything I’ve experienced before so I’m hoping I’m still in with a chance, although unlikely but reading all your stories shows anything is possible! Fingers crossed for all of you!

My first day of my last AF was 25/05 (today being 20/06), i had very light spotting on the 7th and 8th June and have been having constant lower back ache, cramps in both sides, fatigue & feeling very nauseous (Especially around cigarettes which has never been an issue before!) but not actually being sick and my boobs are noticeably bigger according to my boyf (usually itty bitty titty committee lol). I took multiple positive pregnancy tests (all vvf but defo positive!) AF is meant to start in 5 days time and never comes early but this morning I have woke up with watery but moderately heavy bleed. I’ve been beside myself most of the morning but you girls have given me hope! I wish you all the best of luck and healthiest of pregnancies, toes and fingers are crossed for us all 🤞

Thought I'd jump in on this one too as I'm in the same boat. Second month TTC, my period came three days early and has been heavy and painful for a day and a half so far - I'm holding onto a thread of hope it could be a heavy IB as I know when I ovulated and DTD lots on and around that date. Hoping for some more success stories!!!

Hi girls. What a coincidence we are all on here to discuss this on the same day. I’ve been searching for some info on IB and stumbled across this.

First month of TTC. Period due in 2 days. Yesterday started to see small amounts of blood when wiping, which was mainly dark brown and sometimes a bit lighter. Still going today too. I don’t normally start period early or have such dark blood which has caused me to wonder.
I have had some other symptoms in the last week or so like nausea, headaches, sore boobs, spots on face (if that’s a symptom?!), sensitivity to smell. Having very mild cramps, hardly enough to notice.

I had a daughter 6 years ago and didn’t learn anything from that pregnancy that could help me to identify what this is because I was not TTC that time, therefore did not notice any early symptoms (couldn’t tell you if there was IB or not), until I projectile vomited all over the inside of my car. At that point I did a test and I was around 7/8 weeks at the time. Very frustrating when you are trying and therefore notice every little symptom.

Anyway, good luck everyone. Maybe I’ll do a test soon. X

Going through the same journey. We've tried to conceive for 5 months. I took a FR test 3 days before expected period and it was negative. The same day I started bleeding. I can't tell if it's any different from a normal period but I know for sure than I am usually very punctual, never once early. I've had cramps, headaches and nausea on and off for the past two weeks. I can only hope this is a sign (even if not a common one) that this is the right month for us. I won't test again unless I have other strong signs pointing in that direction.

But it gives me hope and comfort to read that some of you did experience/are experiencing the same.

How is everyone? I’m pretty sure that move is af even though it’s so different 😢

@AJJ90 when you say yours was heavy did you need a tampon/pad and how long did it last?

@Exhausted1989 it was pretty heavy, I had to use pads for 2 days! Currently 6 weeks present so wishing you all the luck!

I'm 99.999% sure mine has been AF - though three days in now and it feels like it's on the way out, which is unusually short (my periods are usually 4-5 days long). @LBJ3 I'm going to follow your lead and only test if odd symptoms continue after this flow ends...

@AJJ90 that’s a bit of hope! We’ve not been trying for long so I’m not hugely stressed it’s just annoying. My first child we fell on the first cycle of trying... but we were more relaxed then and I don’t think I am now!

I hope you all keep updating! It’s nice to hear people’s stories and see their tests.

It’s now been 3 days of very light bleeding and my period is dur tomorrow so feeling doubtful it’s IB. I reckon I’ve just started early and slowly. Oh well, better luck next time! X

Update here ladies.
Yesterday had an hour if that of pinky colour when wiping back to nothing then to brown when wiping. No idea what's going on still oh well time will tell. Good luck all xxx

Good morning girls, can anyone give me some advice please? So following my comment Yesterday morning.. the bleeding carried on all day (much lighter than my normal AF but more than I’d expect for ‘spotting’ but not almost enough to need to change pad). I’m still experiencing some mild lower stomach cramps And back ache but when I woke up this morning there was a very small amount on a pad (sorry for tmi!!🤦‍♀️) and it seems to have stopped when I’ve gone to the toilet.. is it worth going to get another test or does it sound chemical? 😩 any ideas are much appreciated! Xx

It’s so hard ! The logical part of me would say wait a big longer but I know it’s so hard- I took an ovulation test as I’d read sometimes they can indicate pregnancy but I was trying to convince myself I was preparing for my next cycle. I have read so many positive stories of bfp after bleeding but equally our bodies are confusing and it could be af. So I can’t help but I feel your struggles as your symptoms were so similar to mine. My bleeding has stopped now and the ovulation test was negative so I think I need to start again.

It's all so confusing! The last 2 days I've only really bled when using the toilet (barely anything on a pad all day) and today I have terrible back pain that feels like heartburn in my back, plus some cramps around my abdomen. Did another test just in case and it's BFN. Just want to feel back to normal so I can crack on with the next cycle :(
