Hi all, we are planning on TTC in the new year. Before that I want to get a bit healthier lose three stone and generally be in the best shape possible to get pregnant and run around after a baby. Is anyone else in the same boat? Would you be up for a little thread to keep us all on track? Planning on doing a dry January as a kick start and then will be dragging my arse to the gym after Christmas as well. Very open to suggestion and ideas to shift the bulge. Would be good to have a few buddies though. Anyone fancy joining in?

Just be aware that CB digital is one of the least sensitive tests around so isn't any good for early testing.

confusedat23 · 16/01/2017 08:09

Don't Worry OysterI won'tbe wasting money on a CB digital until I have a pretty good line or AF doesn't appear Smile

It's bad that they are allowed to market them as being amazing though!

DancingUnicorn · 16/01/2017 08:54

Totally true. I would have thought they were the only option really if it weren't for mn!! Some of the first response ones are so cheap on amazon! Ive had to work hard to not buy them yet!!

Theres that's amazing in the weight loss and measurements!! Tell me your secret to willpower... I have none!

HeyJupiter · 16/01/2017 09:08

Oh Holly you must be hugging the news to yourself knowing how happy it will make your DH! Love that your DH busy has got all excited too.

Well done Theres that's amazing!! You're a weight loss machine Grin

Hi squirrel definitely hope, don't despair. We're all here to support each other so have everything crossed for you.

HeyJupiter · 16/01/2017 09:08

confused will be thinking of you tomorrow morning eeek!

Mummyme87 · 16/01/2017 09:28

Morning ladies, I'm about to do another OPK to see if it is no longer positive. I think I ovulated yesterday 🤞🏻 Which makes me 1DPO 🙈

Regarding tests. Superdrug do sensitive tests 10mIU, first response are about 6.5mIU, clearblue are like 15-20mIU so takes much longer.
Problem with testing so so early and getting lines is we get so excited when it could easily be a chemical pregnancy. Our miscarriage rates are huge now as we have such early detection tests. Back in the day you waited until your AF was due and still wait longer.. periods would come a week or 2 late and women thought nothing of it. Now it would be a miscarriage. Still doesn't stop me from being mental and testing a million times, costing a small fortune 😂😩😉 and if I got an über early positive I would still be so bloody excited

Congratualtions Holly Grin

Redpony1 · 16/01/2017 09:35

Just to add, CD41 since coming off Cerelle....

MrsC2017 · 16/01/2017 09:36

Theres wow you are doing so well! I'm back on the straight and narrow now, starting the day off with my nutribullet smoothie! Have a wholewheat turkey and salad wrap for lunch and stir fry for dinner! No more sweets..!!! Exciting times ahead in this group!
wiggly you are so right, enjoy the run up to your wedding, it's the best time to be selfish and enjoy yourself and let everyone fuss over you! I loved the run up, was very kind to myself getting facials etc!

confusedat23 · 16/01/2017 09:46

I am excited Mummy dw i just know the chances are marginally slim and it's so hard to believe it might be true!... im so scared incase it isnt also

Also Wiggley if you arn't flying the next day after your wedding organise an afternoon down the pub or something... no one ever tells you about the post wedding come down! It can be quite depressing

Mummyme87 · 16/01/2017 09:48

OPK much much lighter today, so now negative as predicted. Best get on with dtd tonight to cover today

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 16/01/2017 10:25

Thanks guys. I've just been trying to stick to slimming world and making sure I drink 2 liters of water everyday. Doing dry January has probably helped me out loads too. I reckon I had piled a fair bit on over Christmas as we caught up with lots of friends so had lots of eating out with cocktails and stuff so delicious!

confused totally understand when you say you're scared it might not be positive! Yesterday was a promising start though and you never know. If it doesn't happen this month you'll be okay and can try again next. It's all the waiting and the emotional investment. All the women in my family have got pregnant the first month of trying.. such pressure! I'm 7dpo and no hint of breast pain or any 'abundant' CM so feeling bit dispondent today.

HeyJupiter · 16/01/2017 10:47

I second the advice wiggley about having something organised for day after wedding. We had big family get together and then flew out on honeymoon the day after. No time for come downs (until I had to go back to work!)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/01/2017 10:53

Let's make sure to make a new thread before this one runs out of space and link to it here! I'm not sure how to do it

Redpony1 · 16/01/2017 10:55

I'm not sure how to do it either!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/01/2017 11:22
