Hello,

Starting a new one as we've maxed out the #6 thread.

Hoping MrsY, Brenna, Rose, Legend, Miami, Bertie, Insufficiently and all the others find it!

Let it be our lucky no.7 thread for BFPs Grin

Oh Emily, I hope the service goes well. I know we gave consent for anything from the tests they did after the MVA to go to non-denominational cremation but no one mentioned a service. Different trusts have such different practises.

That sounds really special, and I think getting your tattoo afterwards is absolutely the right thing to do if it feels the right decision and the right time to you Flowers

I have so much admiration for all of you and how strong you are x

At some point when we're ready and it's not so naffing cold, we're going to plant something special in the garden for our baby. Maybe in a pot in case we move.

In other news, I have thrush! Fucking fantastic..... In fact, no, DH and I BOTH have thrush. Angry

88claire · 25/01/2017 12:04

Anne

Not sure if it's possible but thrush was one of the first signs I was PG Smile

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/01/2017 12:37

I've been googling claire, and I'd promised myself I wasn't going to go symptom spotting crazy... Grin I'm 6DPO.

Do you usually get it or was it pg specific?

I've had it twice before, once when I was on a long dose of antibiotics and then just after the MC, but no symptoms at all the second time, just picked up in an exam.

88claire · 25/01/2017 12:44

Anne

I've only had it three times, once on antibiotics, once in south Africa where it was really humid and hot (and I had possibly also had antibiotics but I can't remember). The third time I was pregnant (quite a long time before a BFP).

I'm a terrible symptom spotter and chose to ignore them all last time but thinking about it everything said PG Smile

Fingers crossed for you!!

emily86 · 25/01/2017 12:48

That's rubbish Anne. I had it and gave it to DH when I ended up on antibiotics after my first MC. He wasn't impressed and seemed to think I'd given him an STI or something?! I hope it settles down soon.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/01/2017 13:18

Thank you claire, that's so sweet. Keep you posted....

Thankfully I had a tube of canasten left from the last time as I only needed the pessary so we both got on it this morning and are feeling better! Smile

Oh no emily, I hope he apologised! Thankfully I also gave it to DH the first time I had it, so we both knew what was going on this time. Fair to say there is no mystery left in our marriage Wink

I'll keep on the cream but would you suggest getting the pessary and/or the oral pill too? I don't really want to phone the surgery as it's a mega faff.

emily86 · 25/01/2017 13:31

You can buy the tablets and pessaries over the counter so if you don't mind paying I would just do that. When I bought them in boots they did ask why I wanted 2 so I just explained I needed one for me and one for DH. I find with just the cream it takes longer to clear up but the cream is good for the interim whilst you're waiting for the tablet to work. And obviously DH would need a tablet, not a pessary!

Miami81 · 25/01/2017 14:45

Omg. Am actually sitting in my car crying. My cousin just had a baby boy today and called it one of the names that I had been thinking of. Feels like I have been kicked in the guts.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/01/2017 14:48

Massive hugs Miami Flowers Flowers Flowers Flowers Flowers

Sucks. Wish someone could take the pain away Sad When can you get a rl hug?

emily86 · 25/01/2017 15:58

So sorry Miami. Nothing I can say other than it utterly sucks. And is shit.

Miami81 · 25/01/2017 16:19

Thanks ladies
Spoke to DH and he made me laugh. No way was any child of his being called that anyway!! Oh well, just another day of the drudge. Our rmc appointment is in two weeks, I want to just fast forward to that.
As always knowing that you are all here is lovely.

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 25/01/2017 17:16

Feeling really shit today! One of my good friends from years ago (drifted apart when we went to uni) has been on my ward this week and told today he's riddled with cancer and he's for palliative care (he's only 29!!). Just can't believe it at all, it's so sadSadHas made me realise how lucky I am.

I hope you're feeling better today theotherend.

Xxx

theotherendofthesockportal · 25/01/2017 18:03

I am feeling much better today. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes. This forum is such a huge support!

@AnneLovesGilbert - eat more garlic, garlic kills the yeast fungus that gives you thrush. When I used to get thrush a lot I used to garlic tablets. Avoid anything with yeast in it; beer, bread and although this isn't yeast, avoid mushrooms. I hope you feel better soon

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/01/2017 18:24

Glad you're doing better sock and thank you for the tip! If this isn't a good sign of being knocked up this month I think I'll have to just assume it's something I might now get, so a double kick in the nuts and I'll be chugging down the garlic. Any excuse! Lovely stuff Smile

LittleFox10 · 25/01/2017 18:26

False alarm! Not AF Sad well i haven't had anymore bleeding since last night. Maybe my body is gearing up for it? Hope it comes soon Sad

How is everyone today? Xx

MulderitsmeX · 25/01/2017 20:43

Sending you Flowers miami.

I'm starting accupuncture on saturday and have found a fertility yoga video on youtube to do- the username is yogayin if anyone is interested.

Also worth noting, i rang my GP today to access my medical history and turns out I had a slightly underactive thyroid 2.5 years ago, GP said all hormones need to be in balance to conceive. Would recommend anyone else who hasn't done so to look through their records.

(Technically TTC again next cycle but have found lots to keep me busy preparing for baby #2).

I like the idea about the bracelet. Will look for something similar.

lightgreenglass · 25/01/2017 22:53

I'm feeling really shitty. It's my birthday today and I've been a mess, I've got the flu so feeling run down but I'm so emotional. I've cried countless times today over trivial and non trivial stuff. Another pregnancy announced today too - I am pleased for them as I know she had 2 mc before but the green eyed monster seems to peek out from behind the curtain.

I think I've finished my fertile week so now it's on to the 2WW. Trying to be rational and failing miserably. Also panicking that if I don't catch this month as we're supposed to be more fertile post mc, that there's something wrong with me.

swimchick1980 · 26/01/2017 00:08

Flowers to everyone heading a tough time. I love the idea of the bracelet/ring and definitely going to get something other than the pregnancy test, which I really should move from my underwear drawer as it makes me sad every morning, but I don't want to let go quite yet

Miami81 · 26/01/2017 09:24

Mulder
I have acupuncture and I find it really good. Will look at those yoga links.
I am two weeks into the bodycoach plan, which has really given me something to focus on if that makes sense, between two miscarriages and misery eating for a year (because of two mc's) I have put on two stone. I am already big so I feel like this two stone is sitting very heavy on me (if that makes sense).
The bc plan should help balance out funny hormones as well as it is almost sugar free so therefore helps with insulin levels apparently.
I believe that I may have thyroid issues and potentially a wee bit of pcos lurking so thought that I should start trying to battle these now, rather than after the rmc clinic where they just tell me to lose weight.

Sojii · 26/01/2017 13:27

TTC at 43 and keep getting cystitis. I'm getting it every time and having to rest for a few days each time. Also getting pregnant is really difficult if you only have sex once a month if that. Had three miscarriages 2 last year. DH was being very supportive. But said last night he's bored with having a sickly wife. He says I need to get fit so I won't be so prone to infection and loose some weight.(I put on nearly a stone every time I got pregnant and can't seem to shift it) AIBU to think if sex with him gives gave me cystitis then that's 'our' problem not my problem alone? I never had this with any previous partner. Though I never tried to get pregnant before. Didn't realise how hard it is ! Or how hard it is to maintain your relationship while TTC.

COO49 · 26/01/2017 13:45

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining in 😊 I had a MMC in November, then a D&C on Nov 15th. I bled for a further 6weeks until my Hgc levels finally dropped to under 5 about 4+ weeks ago! I have been trying to track my ovulation ever since but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet... feeling very frustrated and impatient and wondering if I should be making a dr appointment or waiting a bit longer to see if AF turns up soon? Sorry for the essay 🙈 X

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 26/01/2017 17:55

Have you had any more bleeding today littlefox?!

Sojii, I hate to ask you but have you been checked out for sti's since sleeping with your partner?! Obviously you don't need to answer that, just something for you to think about.
I think it's a little bit shitty that your dp has said quite hurtful things to you recently. Do you think he's perhaps just concerned for your health?! (But it's coming across the wrong way in conversation) Xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 26/01/2017 17:58

Hi COO49 and welcome! Sorry that you've had to join us on this thread.
I was told that your period normally returns 4-6 weeks after your levels have come right down so I'd probably suggest to wait a further 2 weeks before making a gp appointment. Fingers crossed it arrives for you very soon! Xxx

LittleFox10 · 26/01/2017 18:30

Hi littlemiss, no still no more bleeding. When I did bleed it had a few clots. Meh don't know what's happening to body. Just hoping AF shows up soon. However over the weekend I applied for a baby room position and was told yesterday I had got it! I am actually really happy considering circumstances! If I can't have my own then I shall look after other people's for them :) it's also closer to home so a 5 min journey rather than a 30 minute journey which will be nice, same company too!

Xxx

Amy2017 · 26/01/2017 18:36

Hi ladies, I'm new here!

I'm (almost) 36
I miscarried in Oct last year at 6 weeks
This'll be our 9th month trying

After a few months of being incredibly upset about my MC, I'm now feeling hopeful. I kept it quiet for a while, mostly because I thought I'd melt into a puddle of tears if I had to talk about it.

Now, I'm finally up to breaking the taboo by telling my girlfriends and family about what happened. Perhaps one day if it happens to them too they'll be comforted to know how common it is. Learning that 1 in 3 (or 4, depending on source) pregnancies end in MC stat was a real eye-opener for me.

I'm hoping to see a BFP on Feb 4th when my AF is due. Crossing every finger, toe and limb in the mean time.

By the way, I've been reading about the merits of low-dose aspirin to prevent miscarriages... does anyone have any experience with that?

It's reassuring to read about so many other women going through the same experience as me. I wish you all luck and love for this cycle! Flowers
