EmFe, sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Flowers

MrsY87 · 13/01/2017 16:11

Scan showed pregnancy is in the right place as they were worried about ectopic due to my pain so that was positive. scan showed gestational sac with a yolk sac so as it should for 5+3, had a long chat with the midwife and she agreed to book me in for a rescan in a week rather than 2 as the sonographer had said. She also told me that after 2 mc you have a warped view of pregnancy and will just think that something will go wrong until you actually have a baby in your arms. So trying to stay positive and stop worrying that the progesterone is stopping me actually miscarrying. For today I am pregnant and I think I just need to keep reminding myself that.
We also have an appointment with a mc specialist on wed that I booked after my 2nd mc so think we will still go to that to see if he suggests anything.

Sorry to hear about your mc EmFe Flowers

MrsY87 - that's great news ❤ Pleased for you!!
Glad to see you are back on too x

StarWish1 · 14/01/2017 08:25

I had some spotting and cramping last night at 6+5. Also symptoms have pretty much disappeared the last 2 days. I feel like I'm just waiting for the inevitable. Twice in a row. Why can't we be the lucky ones? Why is it so unfair?

Rose280187 · 14/01/2017 08:47

StarWish1 Don't lose hope, I'm sure all will be ok!! I barely have any symptoms either, I heard that do wade off after a while!
Ring the dr and ask for a blood test?
Try relax and not worry too much, I know it's hard x

ElevenBells · 14/01/2017 09:05

AF here again. And to top it off 2nd SIL has announced pregnancy. That's two close family members due within two weeks of what should have been my due date.
Feel bitter and desperate. Hate feeling like this.

Kirsty8333 · 14/01/2017 10:07

It's hard Elevenbellsnot to feel that way sometimes. My SIL is due to have her baby in March and I am desparate to be pregnant before then.

Edenslight · 14/01/2017 21:21

Sorry to hear so many are struggling tonight. It's such a tough road.

Delighted for your good news mrs, one day at a time from now on.

My scan went really well & measuring bang on with a good strong heartbeat. Such a relief but I made it to this point before so sticking with a day by day approach & not going to run away with excitement.

the most reassuring thing to me (& hopefully to some others on here at some stage) was sonographer was able to show me a cyst on one of my ovaries. Can't remember what she called it but she said it can form when egg releases and last up to 14 weeks. It causes some pain & discomfort when standing/sitting/twisting etc but is completely harmless. The relief at having a credible explanation for the quite painful cramping I have been having on that side was huge. So cramping is not always a bad sign. And much as I fucking hate the hope sometime I am taking it where I can find it today.

theotherendofthesockportal · 14/01/2017 21:41

Hi everyone,

I haven't read through every post, I am saddened to see so many people have lost a pregnancy. I am coming to join you all after miscarrying earlier today. It was a mmc at 13 weeks although the scan showed a baby of 8/9 weeks.

I know I'm way to early to be TTC, but both me and my husband want to try again as soon as I have had a period. I guess I just want to join you all for company, I'm wishing you all well

lightgreenglass · 15/01/2017 13:12

Hello Other - sorry for your loss.

I felt exactly the same as you when I miscarried and people TTC whenever they feel ready after miscarriage, there's no right or wrong time.

StarWish1 · 15/01/2017 14:47

Hi everyone.
Glad your scans went well eden and mrsy and welcome to other
Quick update from me - managed to get a scan appointment for today (private). Everything measuring fine and there's a heartbeat. Starting to feel positive again

Edenslight · 15/01/2017 15:41

That's fantastic news star, delighted for you.

Anna2006 · 15/01/2017 16:44

No luck for us this cycle as AF arrived yesterday 🙁 Feeling disheartened. I know it really hasn't been very long in scheme of things as only mc in October but I so desperate want a BFP again. I can't seem to think about anything else

LittleFox10 · 15/01/2017 16:55

Hi, I haven't read all, but I'm so sorry for everyone's losses and congratulations to the ones who are now pregnant.

I miscarried twins at 7+1 over Christmas. I have had a previous miscarriage at 16+6. So heartbroken and just want to take my baby home to be a little family that I have always wanted.

I have PCOS and was put on Clomid last year which was when I fell pregnant with twins. I'm awaiting AF to be able to start Clomid again and hoping it works again.

Xx

StarWish1 · 15/01/2017 17:36

Welcome littlefox and I'm so sorry for your loses. It sounds like you've been through a really tough time.

Anna my mc was in September and it took me 3 months to conceive again. I found it really frustrating but I think it took some time for my body to sort itself out. The 1st month after was short, the 2nd month long. Keep thinking positively x

Buddahbelly · 15/01/2017 18:07

Congrats star, and others who have had their bfp's

theother Its normal to feel like that, theres no right or wrong at all, just take some time for yourself though.

Can I ask all the clomid users, how did you manage to get clomid? From what I understand its for when your not ovulating. when I first went t the doctor at mc number 3 she sent for the standard blood tests (the day 3 & 21 ones) when i got my results she said that I hadnt ovulated that month, but mentioned nothing else.

Now im up to MC number 5 she finally referred me to the recurrent MC clinic, my appt got cancelled last week so still waiting.

If the first blood tests has already shown that I don't ovulate certain months should I be pressing for clomid to help? I hate all this complicated stuff. what I'd give to be a textbook case of getting pregnant!

Anna2006 · 15/01/2017 19:03

Thanks Starwish. Congrats on your BFP. Fingers crossed I am lucky 3rd cycle as well. I really hope so. But I agree with you our body's need time to adjust and our hearts need time to grieve xxx

LittleFox10 · 15/01/2017 19:32

Thanks star! Been very horrible but I know I haven't had it as bad as some people. How far along in your pregnancy are you?

Buddha, hopefully they will give you Clomid to help, fx for you. I got prescribed Clomid due to PCOS and struggling to conceive. We have been trying for nearly 6 years with only two pregnancies which have ended in miscarriage.

Xx

StarWish1 · 15/01/2017 20:18

littlefox 7 weeks today but I've had some cramps and spotting. Decided an early scan was worth the cost for piece of mind x

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 15/01/2017 20:32

Buddha I was put on clomid because I hadn't ovulated in two consecutive months but then it made me produce too many follicles (5 of them), so I was taken off it and put on metformin instead for pcos and then I managed to ovulate and conceive :) Best of luck to you xxx

Buddahbelly · 15/01/2017 20:36

Thanks for the info ladies, weve now been trying for around 3 years resulting in 4 pregnancies all ending in Miscarriage.

Just not sure if i should be asking for another doctor, given than i feel time is running out, and shes only just referred me for the recurrent clinic after a total of 5 Mc's altogether. May call up again tomorrow and request another doctor to try and get another appointment elsewhere anyway and just ask about clomid whilst im there.

LittleFox10 · 15/01/2017 21:36

Oh star, sorry to hear that. Glad the scan has reassured you a little. Just take it day by day and try not to worry, although I know how hard it is.

Buddha, I would try and push for an appointment soon. I have been told that they start doing tests after 3 mcs. I'm hoping I don't have to go through that though. I never realised how common mcs are! And seeing so many of you that have been through it is such an eye opener. I hope we all get our happy ever afters soon xxx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 15/01/2017 23:21

I wouldn't have thought they'd give you clomid if you've conceived naturally. Not everyone ovulates every month so perhaps the month they took your bloods you just weren't ovulating. If you've got pregnant 5 times then it doesn't sound like there's a problem with you conceiving. Hope you get some answers soon xx

emily86 · 16/01/2017 09:35

Just checking in. Not too much to report here. Just waiting for my repeat scan and HCG on Wednesday morning to see if it is retained products causing my positive tests rather than a new pregnancy. My resolve crumbled slightly on Saturday evening and I had a small glass of red wine.

Congratulations to those who've had good scan results these past few days.

And welcome to the new people. So sorry for your losses and that you've had to join us.

theotherendofthesockportal · 16/01/2017 11:15

I had a scan this morning which confirmed that I had passed my pregnancy over the weekend. The nurse was lovely and said I can start taking my pre pregnancy vitamins again and that we can start trying again once I've had a period.
