Rose I think we must be almost bang on the same dates. My MVA was 2nd December, and my clear blue digital yesterday gave me 2-3 weeks. I have one left so was going to test again in 10 days or so hopign it will have gone up to 3+... I'm going to try and bypass the doctor this time and go straight to the midwife, will call at the end of this week to make an appointment.

I'm getting some very slight nausea in the afternoons, but mostly just tired and terribly weepy (crying at the drop of a hat!)..

I feel good that I found out a little later this time, I'm dating myself at 6 weeks tomorrow (using first day of mc bleeding as LMP) and keep telling myself that 4 weeks from now will be 10 weeks which is when I MC'd last time...and that being not too far off makes me feel better somehow!

Emily I'm so sorry things didn't work out for you, sending Flowers and hugs..

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 09/01/2017 10:21

Hello everyone Smile
Haven't been online for a few days so I've had a lot of catching up to do!
Congratulations to those of you who have had recent bfp, I have my fingers crossed for you all!
So sorry Emily to hear your bad news, I hope you have some better luck soon.
How are you doing why?! I didn't notice any posts from you over the last few days, I hope you're ok.
I'm still waiting for my first af since my mmc, it's been 3 weeks now so maybe it'll turn up next week and then I'll be able to start tracking my cycles properly again then :)
I'm thinking of joining slimming world again this week, I could do with shifting a stone and a half and hoping it might improve my chance of a healthy, successful future pregnancy slightly.
Hugs to you all xxx

Hi all, can I join? I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but you all seem lovely :)

Dj, age 35, TTC #2 after 3 unexplained losses. 1st IVF cycle after over 2 years trying. In the midst of DR, baseline scan next week. Terrified and teary.

Off to read this thread from the start Smile

oliversmummy26 · 09/01/2017 16:27

Welcome DJ so sorry you're here, what a journey! Just wanted to wish you all the best of luck and hope that you get a sticky bfp soon...pass me the tissues, I'm über teary at the moment too!

Look after yourself tonight x

Divorcingjack · 09/01/2017 16:39

Oooh, I didn't know how to do bold before! Learnt something already 😁

Rose280187 · 09/01/2017 17:55

Hey everyone,

Feeling abit less emotional tonight although today I cried all day... over everything 🙄

Didn't feel sick today really just a bit urgh...

Spoke to my dr over the phone who's arranging my midwife app.

At the minute I can hear my dd and dp playing downstairs, it's so sweet, makes me think of how much another child will complete us.. I had been feeling really scared but silly really... guess it will all work out in the end. Sure it's normal to feel aprehensive (if that's spelt right)

Hope you all are good whether your ttc or currently pregnant 💫

StarWish1 · 09/01/2017 20:37

Hi all and welcome divorcingjack. I hope you've all had a good day.

Sorry to hear you're feeling emotional Rose and yes it's normal to feel apprehensive. I'm constantly analysing my body: worrying about lack of symptoms, worrying about cramps, worrying about lack of cramps, worrying about whether the line on the pregnancy test last week was dark enough. It just never ends...

I have hot chocolate to cheer me up.

Rose280187 · 09/01/2017 21:02

Starwish1 - hot choc is a must right now!!

Every time my little girl gives me a cuddle in moaning in agony as boobs so so sore.. she asked me why they were so bad.. I just said hormonal.. can't keep anything from an 8 year old Confused

Just awaiting to find out about midwife app xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 09/01/2017 22:22

I've got some marshmallow vodka that I think would go nicely in a hot chocolate BrewStarxx

ImaLannister · 10/01/2017 01:15

Emily I had 2 chemical pregnancies late last year after my MMC in May. Sounds odd saying that as it was only in October & December.
Day after my missed period took a test, positive, only to wake up with bad cramping & period like bleeding no more than 4 days after the test. Then took a test and it was negative. They call it chemical but it's really a really early MC.
For anyone that doesn't know what chemical pregnancy is: The egg was fertilised but failed to survive. The only proof you had you was pregnant was the positive chemical reaction on the pregnancy test. As nothing would show up on an ultrasound/scan at such an early stage. I saw my doctor last week, told her my pregnancy past (MMC & 2 chemicals) and she suggested I take pregnancy supplements daily because I'm trying, and I have blood tests next week, this will show if I have anything wrong with my baby making department apparently.
I'm getting sick of it now, feel like I can't even get excited anymore when I miss my period, because what's the point if it will all be over a few days after? I dread getting pregnant now incase it happens again. If I come back fine then my DP is getting his swimmers checked. As it could be that also.
Anyone have chemicals then successful pregnancy after?

Rose280187 · 10/01/2017 11:41

Littlemisssugarplum88 I've been wondering about why too!! She hasn't been on for a few days Confused

Just been for a large fry up.. I'm not as hungry as I thought I'd be this time round but was doing my shopping and thought why not!!

No unusual symptoms yet, just restless with sleep still!!!

How's are you today ladies??

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 10/01/2017 11:57

Hopefully why will be back soon.
You might as well treat yourself Rose Smile
Anyone else been watching 'this morning' today?! It was about fertility and pcos etc. Found it quite interesting** xx

emily86 · 10/01/2017 12:18

Lannister just out of interest how long did it take to get a negative after you chemicals? I've had 2 days of light bleeding which now seems to have stopped. Feeling a bit confused by it all and wondering when to test again.

Khaleesi85 · 10/01/2017 12:18

Well I'm out this cycle. Af has shown today at cd33! Well late than normal. Not sure why. So I've been thrown off this cycle. Feeing quite sad about it all and deflated 😢

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/01/2017 12:19

Enjoy Rose Grin You're growing a person!

Af is gone, only 3 days but heavy enough to be wholly convincing! Now on to ttc....

Part of me is pissed off at being back at this stage and really hoping it doesn't take too long. Part of me is a bit excited and also just accepting of this being where we are right now. Good excuse for lots of early night! Smile

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/01/2017 12:22

Sorry Khaleesi Sad So disappointing.

emily with my early mc I had a negative test the day or two after I started bleeding. Do you feel ready to do another test?

Without knowing what your af is like, that's not a lot of bleeding so is it possible you're still pregnant? I hope that's not unhelpful... But it does sound confusing.

ImaLannister · 10/01/2017 12:59

Emily the day I started bleeding. So take a test.

ImaLannister · 10/01/2017 13:03

My first chemical I started bleeding 4 days after my positive preg test which I took the first day of my missed period. My second chemical I started bleeding 2 days after my positive preg test which I also took the first day of my missed period. Both were neg the day I started bleeding. So went from pos to neg quite fast.

emily86 · 10/01/2017 13:09

Thanks for the info ladies. I have a uterine septum so have heard about ladies bleeding from the opposite side to where the pregnancy has implanted but I think that is probably wishful thinking! I think I'll probably hold off and test towards the end of the week if there's no more bleeding.

Sorry to those who've been got by AF. Onwards and upwards, or so they say.

emily86 · 10/01/2017 14:14

I just rang to chase up my appointment in recurrent miscarriage clinic. Have managed to get in tomorrow afternoon which is good but the secretary said that the cytogenetics result is abnormal so now I'm panicking a little. Although she said it isn't an urgent result so hopefully it is just one of those randomly occurring things. Confused

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/01/2017 14:24

Good you have your appointment and a good sign they have your test results to hand, the consultant was phoning all over the place trying to get hold of mine from my MVA 2 months ago. He got there in the end but it wasn't very organised!

How do you feel knowing the results? I could never decide whether I wanted there to be something wrong with this one which would explain why we lost her, or not, as then there'd be nothing to worry about but also no reason.

If you're happy to, please let me know what they advise, be interesting to see if we're being given similar treatment. Are you expecting them to do any tests on you? Really hope it goes well x

emily86 · 10/01/2017 14:50

Of course Anne. Although the plan may well be different for me if they've found a genetic problem.

ImaLannister · 10/01/2017 16:37

Emily & Anne did you just go to the doctors to express your worries? I just made a doctors appointment & she is doing blood tests. Will this be enough to show if anything is wrong with my ability to carry a child?

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/01/2017 17:01

What's your GP testing for Ima, do you know?

I was referred through the EPU during/after my mmc which was my third loss. No one discussed it with us, the letter just arrived with an appointment time for 7 weeks later. It's a fortnightly clinic for recurrent mc people at one of the local hospitals.

My GP practise hasn't been involved at all. I spoke to someone when I had my previous early mc but only over the phone. And then last time, nothing while I was pg or during the loss (one phone call about some regular injections I have, which didn't actually need to change during the pregnancy, and again, was over the phone) though I believe they were sent copies of various discharge letters from the hospital.

It's really good if you have a good doctor you can talk to and will proactively help you but I'd ask what they're testing for and what their plan is depending on what they find. Maybe see if there's a miscarriage clinic near you. That seems to kick in after 3 losses where I am, it may vary.

I'm sure I could have asked for help from my GP surgery but they seem to have a pretty hands off approach to pregnancy, women self refer to the EPU etc, and I'm very pleased with the consultant we're with now.
