Hello,

Starting a new one as we've maxed out the #6 thread.

Hoping MrsY, Brenna, Rose, Legend, Miami, Bertie, Insufficiently and all the others find it!

Let it be our lucky no.7 thread for BFPs Grin

Thanks for the wise words Holly and Star. I don't think I have line eyes on because a large part of me really doesn't want a BFP until after I've been to the RMC. However, after 2 years of trying and desperately wanting BFPs every month it is hard to switch that off. You are right, I need to step away for tonight. I shall distract myself with going to running club and then test in the morning with FMU.

QueenGiggles · 05/01/2017 17:26

Hi ladies, can I join please?

MC in October, D&C on the 27th Oct and tissue was sent off for genetic testing as it was 3rd MC, baby had an extra chromosome but not 1 that can survive, at meeting with consultant for results he gave me scan to check shape of womb and make sure there was no abnormalities (all was fine) and took blood to test my blood for clotting, these again came back ok! So here I am 10 weeks later, still no period other than a few days of spotting and desperate to get it done I can start ttc but happily practising in the mean time x

Khaleesi85 · 05/01/2017 18:57

Welcome twinkle and Queen xx
I'm new here too but the ladies here are lovely.

I caved and did a pregnancy test today at cd28 and bfn. I don't know why I torture myself with testing every day! But I just can't help myself!

Today I've had a sharp pain on the left lower side of abdomen. Almost like pulling a muscle but I wasn't doing anything at the time. It doesn't hurt now. Just when it happened. I had this with my youngest and wondering if it could be an early sign?
I'm due af tomorrow. Praying she doesn't come and I get a bfp soon! ☺

How have all your days been today?

Anna2006 · 05/01/2017 19:17

Why do we torture ourselves with the early tests.

Extremely sorry for your loss Twinkle that must be so hard. But good for you for wanting to get back on the TTC wagon. This wagon is one hell of a journey.

Only 3DPO today so I have at least a week before I can begin to obsess and want to POAS! I'm aiming to have none in the house so I won't be tempted..do you guys think that will work?! Lol xxx

Anna2006 · 05/01/2017 19:18

Could be a good sign khaleesi. I definitely knew the month I was pregnant as it just all felt different and like it was working.

However..I could of worn last month I had the same feelings and was pregnant. But appears it was not..sometime our mind can play nasty tricks 😔

Rose280187 · 05/01/2017 19:18

Khaleesi85 Good luck 🤞🏻Let us know!!

QueenGiggles welcome 😊 I guess some positivity in the fact you know your body is all working how it should be! I've just got pregnant again after 2 mmc oct and Dec!! I'm very dubious but least I know I'll have tests if this fails!

Sorry twinkle what a hard time you've been through I can't begin to imagine how you felt. I've had to friends lose their babies and you can never find the right words.

I went shopping but every time I went to toilet was panicking and looking for blood but have been fine... I guess every day into the pregnancy is a good sign x

QueenGiggles · 05/01/2017 19:44

Rose I have been where you are now, my first 2 MC were before I had my eldest and right up till 20 odd weeks I panicked with him tho I wasn't just as bad with my 2nd (still worried for weeks) and wasn't as worried when I had last MC tho I had a feeling good something good wasn't right

Thank you for the warm welcome :) I'll need to hold back and read some posts to catch up

emily86 · 06/01/2017 07:38

So it looks like my week of emotional turmoil is to continue. Did another test with FMU this morning and it was positive. Verified by DH. I really don't know what to think. Seeing is it took 8 months for my first BFP, 4 for the second and 10 for the third we hadn't anticipated this one straight after my MC. I think I might just try and pretend it isn't happening. Like that is possible! Think I might bulk buy some more tests.

For this who have already been to RMC, I don't have my appointment through yet but do you think I should ring and tell them I'm pregnant? I'm expecting the secretary to call me back and book it in any day.

StarWish1 · 06/01/2017 09:17

Majorly freaking out. First day back at work and back ache and cramps. Can't concentrate

Miami81 · 06/01/2017 09:39

Emily tentative congratulations to you. I know you must be totally freaking out. Fingers crossed for you. Take it easy, try to remain calm.
In terms of RMC I suppose it is worth giving them a call? Possible they might bring you in earlier in case there is something they can do now to help you (like Anne, injections, aspirin whatever).
Now is the time to completely loose your rag at them if they try to fob you off. You have been through too much to patiently wait for an appt that you surely should have had through already.

Miami81 · 06/01/2017 09:40

Oh star I am sorry. Do you have painkillers? Can you take them?
If it is too much then take yourself away home. Maybe have a cup of tea and a wee seat in a quiet space if you can at all. Can you speak to anyone at work about what's happening?

QueenGiggles · 06/01/2017 10:08

Congratulations Emily ♡ will keep my fingers crossed for you

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/01/2017 10:22

I'm glad you know either way emily and I'm sending my best calming positive hopes your way, it IS good news Smile Congratulations x

Of course it's horrendously nerve wracking but pretending it's not happening probably won't help so can you do lots of gentle calming breathing and just tell yourself that today you're pregnant and it's good news? (Please dish this all back to me when I hopefully get the same news! ;) )

I'd call the clinic today. I was told by my consultant's secretary that if I got bfp before the appointment I had to tell them straight away and not wait for the appointment as he'd want to see me asap.

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/01/2017 10:24

Ah, what Miami said! Call them and make a fuss till they see you. Honestly, at my appointment he said I needed to let him know the second I found out and to call straight away. I know I'm already in the system there now but his secretary had said the same when I confirmed the appointment.

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/01/2017 10:25

Star Flowers Cake Sorry you're suffering. Please take it as easy as you can x

Anna2006 · 06/01/2017 10:29

Congrats on the new Emily just try and stay positive. I can imagine you were suprised it happened so quickly.

I've finally heard today I am starting my new job on Monday. I was made redundant 8 weeks ago only 2 weeks after my mmc and being at home and having nothing to do has not helped my mental state as it's just made me dwell on everything and obsess.

Hoping going back to work & having a focus will be a positive for me!

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/01/2017 11:01

Congrats on the new job Anna! Great news and good to know you'll be busy and distracted!

Rose280187 · 06/01/2017 11:05

StarWish1 What's going on? Are you ok?
I had bad cramps last night in bed and bad back.. seem to be fine this morning though!

Congrats Emily, I'm basically in the same situation now I can't even date my pregnancy.. ringing the dr on Monday morning to see what to do!!

Everyone else ok??

sarahmags · 06/01/2017 11:08

Congratulations Emily, hoping this one turns out well for you.

For me AF has arrived this morning bang on my usual 30 day cycle so looks like I'm back to normal after surgery which is good. Onwards and upwards!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 11:32

Congrats Emily!

And congrats Sarah hoping the rest of your recovery continues in the same positive way.

StarWish1 · 06/01/2017 11:56

The pain has gone a bit and knicker watch is all clear. I'm in a training session at work today so I'm just sitting down, listening but not really taking anything in.

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/01/2017 12:40

Good news sarah, I was so pleased when my first one post mc showed up. Finally something seemed normal again!

I'm meant to be mid af in my second cycle and now 5 days late. Getting the odd right hand pelvic stabbing pain but no normal symptoms of af - boobs are normal, no lower back ache or cramping. Something feels off. Got bfn 2 days ago. Might POAS again over the weekend if nothing shows. Never had a 30 day cycle in my life.

I know people say stress, holidays, diet, viruses etc can affect them but it's never happened to me before. I'm either regular or I'm pregnant.

How's everyone else? Staying sane oliversmummy? Hope you're doing alright.

oliversmummy26 · 06/01/2017 13:09

Hello all, busy day at work here! Have had a chat with my boss, collague wanted to reduce her hours to be in line with mine (without really realising that mine are only reduced because I can't do anymore because of DS and childcare!) then moaned that her pay had gone down?! Well duh!! Anyway, it seems the difference will come out in bonuses, I will be doing a little more, which will mean a little less cyber slacking of an afternoon for me! But it should be okay...and to be honest having a day without her constant moaning has been lovely!

In other news, still no AF, no more spotting and not tested yet. Will POAS tomorrow I think, just a cheapy internet test and if bfp will use a clearblue digital on Sunday to get an idea of dates. My Ovia is all confused. I've told it no AF but a little spotting and it tells me I'm on CD35 but that my FW is next weekend!

Congratulations to Emily FX this one sticks and it all goes through like clockwork, I'd definitely give the RMC a call though and let them know as presumably they'd need to get you in asap to start whatever they need to?

Great news Sarah it must be good to know that your cycles are back to normal and you can get back on track with TTC in earnest Wink

sarahmags · 06/01/2017 13:27

Thanks all for your kind words.

Flash that is interesting what you say about thinking you're physically ok, but perhaps you're not, also that it took you 6 months to feel ready to ttc again. At the moment I am trying to eat well and have started running again in an attempt to lose a bit of weight (Christmas plus comfort eating and few pregnancy pounds!), but also to get things back to normal. I feel like the whole of last year was on hold as we were ttc and at the moment I'm not willing to put everything on hold again so we're not not trying, but not really concentrating on it. I've never been one for ovulation sticks or temping, but I've not even got the Ovia or FF app this time, although not sure how long that will last!

Flashinthepan · 06/01/2017 13:48

Sarah well I know everyone's experiences are different of course, but for me it wasn't as quick as 6 weeks post surgery, have a normal period, suddenly body works normally again, process emotions in a healthy way and start trying for another baby. I went through never wanting to have another baby, having one normal period followed by 5 months of not normal ones (and really still not being totally normal 8 months on!), feeling fine about things i thought would upset me and feeling like I was going to fall apart over things I hadn't even considered.

I'm not saying this to scare/upset anyone, just to let you know that it's fine if you don't fit the normal pattern, or if you feel like everyone in the world has dealt with it differently to you. I also found exercise and a focus on overall wellbeing very helpful and thats something I've tried to keep up and I hope will be beneficial now that we're trying again. Take every day as it comes, do what you want, feel what you feel and you'll end up in the right place eventually.
