I know how you feel ladies. Have dtd every night since 23 Dec and I'm exhausted! after days of eating my own body weight, dealing with in laws and a hyper dd the only thing I want to do is put on my big pants and read a good book in bed.
Thought my fertile days were over but still have bit of ewcm so told dp he's on duty tonight too - judging by the look on his face I think the noveltys wearing off for him too Xmas Grin

Wibblewobble100 · 29/12/2016 21:38

Hi, can I join? Had an MMC at the start of Dec, with ERPC on the 7th. I'm still waiting for my first AF afterwards, but feel like things are getting back to normal as had loads of EWCM pre Christmas and now feel like I'm building up to AF. We are waiting for first AF prior to trying again, mostly because we wanted to take a break to process things andmaking the most of Christmas wine and cheese seemed fitting. Hoping to get straight back to it next cycle.
This was my second MC, having had an early one in Aug, and conceived with just one period in between. I also have a healthy 2.5 year old DS.
Congrats to the recent BFPs... I'm sorry I'm not up to speed with everyone's stories.... will anyone be having medication to try and make these beans stick?

MrsY87 · 29/12/2016 23:30

Welcome rum and wibble sorry you are both here too.

So know how you are all feeling about the effort of ttcing...in FW week my DH is actually like not again?! As we have normally. Been so much more spontaneous and now it seems so much more planned dtd when we don't particularly want to just because it's the right time! Why don't they tell you having a baby can be this hard!?

Wibble i went and saw a consultant after my 2nd mc who gave me progesterone pessaries to take when I next get a positive but still waiting to try them out...hopefully not too much longer!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/12/2016 11:20

Hope everyone is okSmile
Just wanted to ask a bit of advice...I had my miscarriage 2 weeks ago. This morning I have quite strong period type pains. Is it too early for my first period already?! I've had to take painkillers too and I never normally do for period pains - I have heard that the first one can be more painful xx

Anna2006 · 30/12/2016 12:20

littlemiss I would probably say it is
too early for your period. At EPU the sonographer told me it can only be a true period if it had been 20 clear days since I stopped bleeding from the mc. If it hadn't been that long it's likely still remnants of the mc maybe trying to come out?

You body will of reset when you had to negative and maybe tried to ovulate. So likely be couple of weeks before your period but see what happens. Everyone is different

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/12/2016 12:30

I've taken co-codamol and paracetamol and the pain seems to have settled now. Not sure what it was :/ I did have a rescan after my mc and they confirmed all the tissue had come away xx

BertieBotts · 30/12/2016 12:40

IME there is a lot of weirdness going on that cycle after MC and it's not unusual to get unexpected pains or tenderness - just go easy on yourself. I know it feels like it's all a waste of time and you want to hurry up and get back to normal! :) I also had awfully vivid horrible dreams after my mcs. Like pregnancy dreams in their vividness but they were terrible. I don't normally have bad dreams but I was seeing things like skeletons driving cars and DS being taken away from me, it was awful.

Anna2006 · 30/12/2016 12:43

sugarplum if they said all the lining had come away then you are probably fine. Like Bettie mentioned, that cycle is going to be a bit weird an random aches. It could be body trying to gear to ovulate? I get dull aches near ovulation as my ovaries prepare. The earliest you should expect your period is 4 weeks from when you first bled with your mc. Xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/12/2016 12:56

Ok thank you ladies. It's all very worrying isn't it when not knowing what to expect and when.
Not had any cm yet, perhaps it'll start in the next few days xx

Anna2006 · 30/12/2016 14:53

I didnt get much CM my cycle after miscarriage but I did ovulated. So you may not get much. Here's hoping AF turns up on time for you xx

ElevenBells · 30/12/2016 15:26

I had two days of bad period pains and bleeding about 2 weeks after my mc (and about 1 week after mc bleeding had stopped). AF came another two weeks after that weird extra bleed. I wasn't too worried as scan at Epu said uterus lining was almost back to normal and no 'product' left. Like Bertie i also had bad nightmares and disturbed sleep for about 4 weeks.

MrsY87 · 30/12/2016 18:00

Couldn't wait to test until tomorrow so tested this afternoon....now terrified that everything is going to go wrong for a third time

MrsY87 · 30/12/2016 23:03

Thanks ladies, have started on the progesterone supplements so hopefully they will do the trick this time. I'm feeling cautiously excited but it's still such early days I'm just going to take each day at a time. DH has told me I've got to be positive. Smile

Hello, can I join you all? I had a miscarriage 12 days ago at about 9 weeks. The pregnancy was unexpected but I was absolutely thrilled about it and now feel fairly crushed.

By the sound of it I got off lightly as I didn't need any intervention and only bled for a week. I had a negative pregnancy test this morning and we've decided to ttc again straight away although I expect it to take a while (I have very weird cycles due to PCOS and my previous 2 pregnancies have taken quite a while to conceive which is why this one was such a surprise). I already have 2 DSes (4.5 and 1.5) who keep me wonderfully distracted.

I haven't told anyone irl about the pregnancy or miscarriage (except DH) so it would be great to have a place to chat about it all Xmas Smile

It's great to see some recent good news on this thread, congratulations to all those with BFPs over Christmas. I have my fingers crossed for you that everything goes well this time. Here's hoping for lots of sticky 2017 beans for us all!

whyhastherumgone · 31/12/2016 14:24

Great news! Hello to everyone :)
Just a quick question those that are taking supplements is this under the guidance/direction of doctors ?

oliversmummy26 · 31/12/2016 14:28

Happy New Year's Eve all, been quiet here over Christmas as have tried to not think too much about ttc and mc..am now 4 weeks post mc, and not feeling all that inclined to poas yet as there's a bottle of bubbly in the fridge with my name on it for tonight. Staying home with ds to see the new year in, he's 4.5 and very excited about staying up until "midnight" little does he now he'll be watching last years countdown at about 8pm and straight to bed afterwards!! Dh back to work on Tuesday and I think if no af we'll test next week..

Congratulations on the bfp's that's brilliant news, fingers crossed for you all and big welcome hugs to the newbies.

Hope you all have a great evening and lots of luck and sticky babies for 2017, this is going to be our year, I promise!Smile
