2 days late BFN- What is the latest anyone has had a BFP...

Hi I started the thread CD21 Pink EWCM.. Now I am two/three days late as my cycle fluctuates from 29/30 each month.. i.e one month 29, next 30, next 29... so think it is normal..
No signs of period.. very sore boobs and also have a strong garlic taste in mouth, also a bit like smoking 25 fags on a night out like I used to.. not metallic tho...
Sent dh for test but just poeed couldn't hold it so am going to have wait another 4 hrs.. for those of you who go through this with my near on EVERY month, sorry for being a nightmare pain!

I just wanted reassurance that not everyone gets a BFP before or on the day your AF is late.. and a late BFP can be normal.. xxxx????

got have just re-read.. meant pee'd but it looks suspicously like poo'd... definitely pee'd everyone.. !!

I got a BFN 2 days after AF due, and then a BFP 3 days later. Early scan confirmed dates consistent with LMP. HTH

I had a BFN two days after I was due. When the decorators had still not been round five days later, did another test which was BFP! Just to add to the confusion, my dating scan brought the due date forward by eight days!!

10 days late. I had just come off of my birth control as we decided to start trying for another baby, and KNEW that I was pregnant, but could not get a BFP until 10 days later. Scans and everything pushed the due date back by almost 2 weeks, which is when I had her, so for some reason I ovulated about 10 days late, even though I should have been regular just coming off the pill.

I actually have a friend who didn't test positive until 11 weeks I found out the other day (gives me a bit of hope). Everything was neg for her (wee and blood). Now she has a beautiful DD.

well according to Dr,s my mum was never pg with me.....NONE of the pg tests they did showed up positive all came back negative - so officialy (on paper) she wasn't pg.......she still gave birth to me in the hospital though LOL.

its not uncommon to have a bfn until 5 days after your period would have started.

Sometimes even later (if you look on the preg talkboard there is a thread called something like "can you have a bfn and still be pregnant").

The explaination of the variation most cases is due to the test itself. Test look for hcg. Hcg isnt produced until implantation. Implantaion generally occurs between 6 and 12 days after ovulation. Even then the cells can take a few days to replicate enough so that they are producing enough hormone for the test to pick up (generally 20 micromls).

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but I am 28 yrs old, me and my husband have 2children, and we have been ttc for about 2 years, ive never missed a period, always regular, but I am 2 days late, im having white discharge and cramps ive taken 3 preg test which all came out negative the most recent test I took was the day af was supposed to arrive which was 2 days ago? Could I be pregnant or am I out this month. Oh and every morning, I'm very stuffed up and feel like I have a cold, every morning, but then as day goes on it subsides a bit. I'm also often very tired, and always hungry and my boobs are very tender.

You could be, but if you're pregnant enough to be experiencing symptoms then you would have a pregnancy test. You could have just ovulated late and therefore your period will come later than usual. It happens to us all. Good luck!

Very regular cycles of 27/28 days but I'm currently 4/5 days late but only has BFN so far (and I've tested A LOT )
Trying to resist testing for a few days now but it's really starting to get to me.
TTC baby #2 for 6 months now.
Last time round I got faint positives by now, even with my 2 chemical miscarriages so this is all strange to me!

Update incase anybody comes across this thread, finally tested positive on day 6 of no AF hoping all goes well but it's still early days but incase you are still in limbo like I was, hope this gives you some hope

Did you have any period like symptoms? I'm having slight cramping and nipples are a bit sensitive. I'm 3 days late but bfn..

The day my period was due I had weird sharp twinges in my groin I don't usually get and a bit crampy on and off for couple days. Sore boobs didn't start until around day 4 and the next day is when I got my first BFP as I guess the hormones were stronger then. The day I got a positive my boobs were really heavy and sore, more so than when AF is due.
My first BFP was really faint and I used first urine of the day around 5:30am and I held in a wee even though I woke at 2am needing to go just to make sure my wee was really concentrated lol I'm now 5 weeks and 3 days and get a strong positive any time of day I test.

Like a mad woman daily, sometimes twice daily haha I was driving myself mad. But they say to wait every 48 hours as that's when HCG doubles if pregnant

Also I used ACUTEST EARLY SIGN MIDSTREAM PREGNANCY TEST in the end as they were only £3.99 for a pack of 2 at Co Op! Found them to be really good.
I've attached 2 pics. The faintest was 25th first thing in morning and the stronger one was 2 days later on 27th in the evening (AF was 8 days late by this point)

I know this thread is old! But I’m currently 2 days late and also getting BFN with early pregnancy tests. Did you get BFN with the early tests or the normal ones?

What were the results for you? It's been a couple months but I'm 2 days late which AF is always a day early or right on time for me. Me and my SO has been TTC for a few months and this is eating me alive. I've taken two tests and both were BFN. :(

Hi I thought I'd post because I started TTC for first time this month. Was convinced by boobs felt different to normal for full 2 weeks after ovulation. Then cramps on and off and dizziness days up to period. Period 2 days late. Took test. BFN. Was certain it was too early to tell. Then today severe cramps and period has arrived. Got my Hope's up all last 2 weeks. Will try not to symptom watch or test before period is least week late. Easier said than done!

Still no period and I'm now 4 days late. I will test again in a few days. I get very slight cramps during the morning/early afternoon then they're gone for the rest of the day. I had a massive headache and was nauseated last night but it could be stress. I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up but it's torture! I also had a weird ache/pulling sensation in my lower abdomen yesterday? 🤔

Just to add some positive news I kept getting BFN even on the early tests until day 5 of late period. Then I got the faintest line ever even though it was the first urine of the day. Tested at 8 days late and the line was really dark. I'm now almost 16 weeks
I know how crazy it can drive you just not knowing either way so good luck to all of you and I hope you get answers soon X
