Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

You should never use FMU for internet OPK. Only the clear blue packs. That's the worst urine to use as it's been sat for 8 hours. Since you could ovulate after 12 hours you could potentially miss the surge.

Last cycle I got strong positives on CD12-15 for 4 days. and a light OPK on CD11.

This cycle I've had a faint second line on CD11 and then not even a second line so far. Hopefully today's might be better. It does make me think I might not ovulate or I've ovulated early this cycle. Which means I'm out either way.

Yes!! Although according to ovia and ff I ovulated on CD9 but that's just because I had a 23 day cycle. I can't be upset about it. Only cycle 3.

It's all very confusing sometimes with these apps and all these other ways of helping us conceive! Maybe we should all try and go old school had just DTD! I think I would be the first to crack 😂

Just wanted to pop on and say I'm still lurking cheering you all on from the side lines and keeping my LSFX for you!

Got an early scan booked for 30th December when I'll be either 7+3 (LMP date) or 8 weeks (going from ovulation) so will let you know how it goes!

mouse I'm not having much luck with opk's either! I had negative Friday night then nearly positive on Saturday morning (I know I shouldn't have tested then 😁) then it got fainter in the afternoon and now there's nothing so I think I must have missed it?! I did have af type cramps Saturday afternoon so I'm guessing I ovulated then, not really sure what's gone on! We dtd Wednesday then sat afternoon so think we might have just missed it this month. It was cd 16 for me. Hope you get a positive soon

So mouse maybe you are having a really long cycle - I usually surge around day 16 and last cycle I went to day 19!!! Or maybe you are having a non-ovulating cycle or maybe you missed surge... my advice shag for Britain!!!

I just got back from a 5 course work lunch!!! Feeling decidely yukky... maybe too much food... maybe shed load of hormones I injected last night - feel like ovary is going to explode very annoying as have Barcelona at my disposal but lacking energy and feel good factor to go out of hotel room...

You're right kwick, I actually have no idea when or even if I'll ovulate, so I don't know why I'm hung up on CD14. I obviously shouldn't assume anything this early on. I'm not super stressed or anything so will just see how it goes. Keep doing OPK until AF or a positive (please!) and keep DTD every other day. (So far I've managed every two days then a day break, then another two days and then another day break.)

Last week in work before Christmas holiday. Feel down right knackered and throat sore. Over 50% of the children off with bug in work.

feeling very pms-y. think I may test tomorrow fmu..... partly just so I know how pissed I can get at work christmas meal ....

It's not too early to test and yeah, best to check if you want to have a drinks poos. Let us know if you decide to test, I hope it's a sneaky BFP.

Cycle 14? Several very long cycles so I'm not sure, but it's been well over a year anyway.
PCOS.

Currently cd10, started using a device called Ovusense this cycle.

Bit of a balls up with one of my swabs at the surgery, it was sent off not labelled, so need it repeated. Annoyingly I am working 8-5 all this week and next week so not sure when I will get a chance. They need it before they can send off fertility referral.

I asked GP if they could just leave the forms out and I could do it myself and drop it in to be sent off (she knows what I do for a job and therefore I know how to do it and what swab to use) but apparently that's not possible. Damn.

Oh and after my sickness bug at the beginning of last week, I then started feeling like I was coming down with a cold on Friday evening. Woke up Saturday full blown snotty nose, headaches and sore throat. Same day as works Xmas meal. Crap timing.

Alexia your chart looks so good! Don't want to get your hopes up but that little dip could be implantation maybe? In which case hopefully some symptoms may start soon?

Well that bitch AF is here and so bloody sore. What an absolute joke of a LP! I've barely made it past 9dpo. Have just been online shopping at 2.30am for 100mg Vit B6 (thanks wing). What am I doing with my life

I have no interesting symptoms but only 3-4 DPO. Nausea this morning but I always get that in luteal phase, I always assume it's my egg dissolving. I'm so pessimistic sometimes

alexia so sorry for AF. Your chart was such a tease! I have read a lot about LP which is why I started on 50mg of B-complex (probably same as you!) . If that hadn't worked I was going to step it up to 100mg so that sounds like a good call.

mouse I don't normally get darker OPKs until around CD17-20 if that makes you feel any better. Hope you get one soon.

kwik excellent PMA! FX for your scan on Thursday. Hope the milk chugging is going well. I don't really like milk, especially not full fat, so don't know how you do it! Also, for your benefit, I'm 4+5 today counting the proper way
