Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Bloody hell, that's a definite BFP mouse! How do you feel about it?

Miranda234 · 31/12/2016 10:05

Oh wow mouse congratulations!!!! Bet you are in shock, they do say it comes when you least expect it!

Musicgrrl · 31/12/2016 10:05

That's a great line with a cheapie mouse - you might be nearly 5 weeks already! Do you know when you might have ovulated?

Binkybunny13 · 31/12/2016 10:07

Omg this thread! Yes mouse! Huge congratulations 😊 Guess you'll be cancelling the scan then?!

Wishing you an easy stress free pregnancy- hopefully your health improves with all the hormones so having to stop the plan with the scan is all ok 👌

kwick · 31/12/2016 10:21

Ummm mouse that is a BFP!!!! I did a FRER again this morning and one of those - test strip has a faint line (more faint than yours!!!!!!!)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! StarStarStar I am so happy for you and think you may need to switch to baking ginger cakes to help us deal with nausea!!!
When is your MRI?

MissyJones83 · 31/12/2016 10:21

So I got a BFN this morning no AF yet but cycles are settling down so she'll prob turn up later today or in next few days, then we can start again boo hiss

kwick · 31/12/2016 10:27

hippy it would actually not be that bad if I got made redundant - 14 years service!!! And as I understand it they are not able to make me redundant whilst preggers, so I could take the leave and then take redudancy... but I do not think that is on the cards.

hep I guess what I find most stressful is the travel, combined with long days combined with still having to deal with 100s of emails a day combined with the general stress of my job...

geeup · 31/12/2016 10:33

Oh wow mouse that's amazing. You are the ironidiff of someone who got up the duff when not really trying!!! Let's see your chart for this cycle!!!

Londonjam · 31/12/2016 10:36

Congratulations mouse! Gosh that's only cycle 2 or 3 isn't it? Wowser 🎊

Sorry missy hope it's just too early for you

AlexiaB · 31/12/2016 10:39

Peaches8Posies · 31/12/2016 11:11

OMG MOUSE congratulations GrinFlowers what did you decide about your scan?

kwick I echo what hippy and kath say, jobs are only jobs. You and your baby are far more important. I would speak to your gp let them know you are really overwhelmed at the moment and given how much you have invested of yourself in getting here, your recent mc and the fact that your employer hasn't helped you move to a less stressful position a few weeks head space to concentrate on you would be best. Maybe if you present this to your employer they will be quicker at accommodating you to a better suited position. When the wee one arrives you won't be available for that much travel anyway so it's going to be done sooner rather than later. Smile

missy Flowers

MissyJones83 · 31/12/2016 11:31

alexia no need for new thread looking back over this one it seems to be doing the trick Wink I'm sticking around to see what it brings in Jan!

kwik ditto to the other comments. I have a stressful job and DH does lots of international travel quite often away for months (although hopefully now ttc this will reduce). I'd see if you can get a note from the doc your wellbeing needs to come first it's so important, I've let things get so bad I'm having counselling to cope with anxiety (which is prob not helping with getting preggo) so wish I'd done something much earlier!

Much love to all for 2017

X

MissyJones83 · 31/12/2016 11:32

Thanks for the Flowers peaches

MouseLove · 31/12/2016 11:51

Sorry for leaving you hanging. I'm a complete mess and I don't really know what to think. I rang DH to pick up a test. He got one of those bloody cross ones. Yeah another BFP. Still shaking like a dog eating hot chips.

So I couldn't ring the hospital as it kept ringing and ringing. Went up. Radiologist said congratulations, sorry we're not scanning you. I walk out with a massive grin on my face and then think OH SHIT. so I've been practicing my "yeah the scan went well" face.

I have absolutely no idea when I ovulated. I'm 4 weeks 5 days according to my AF dates. And I've not been acting responsible the past 2 weeks.

This is cycle 3 (month 4) of trying this time. Around 6 active months total over the past 3 years. Doesn't feel real.

sk1pper · 31/12/2016 12:11

Mouse - what cycle days did you DTD?

MouseLove · 31/12/2016 12:18

9,10,12, 13 & 26 Sk1pper. I'm gonna try again tomorrow with FMU.

Kathrino · 31/12/2016 12:52

You must be totally shell shocked mouse, I can imagine it will take a while to sink in. Huge congratulations though and wishing you an easy 9 months!

kwick · 31/12/2016 13:07

missy sorry about BFN Flowers but speaking from experience unless you used a FRER and there is no AF then there is hope!
Sorry to hear about your anxiety - take care of you.

Thanks peaches great advice Smile

mouse deep breaths!!! This is amazeballs news and I am big believer in your body taking care of you through pregnancy.

ns1348 · 31/12/2016 13:29

Hi everyone,

Mouse has encouraged me to say hi after lurking for a while and messaging her to say congrats, as I've seen her on other threads.

Congrats to you too, Kwick! I hope your work/travel situation resolves itself soon.

It's really great seeing BFPs roll in on this thread, really encourages me!

Here are my stats:

30 (31 on Weds though!)
Cycle 2 after mirena coil
CD26
AF due today or tomorrow I think - last cycle only 24 days but ov'd on CD14 then, where this cycle it was CD16, hence guessing it's due around now, but this early on who knows really

I have a history of endometriosis (mild, but ouchy, so I've had surgery twice). Keep getting random right sided pain I think is endo as know my womb sits to left, and it doesn't correlate with ov, so trying to ignore it. Also have other health complications.

Tested this morning (10dpo) and got a BFN. Housemate is picking up more FRERs for me while on his walk right now, as I fear I might become a POAS addict over next few days (AF coming early last cycle spared me!).

Super coldy/coughy right now, and worried I'll be too ill to go to friends' tonight Sad

feeling like I'm probably out this cycle, though did have symptoms earlier, and that AF'll probably turn up just in time for my birthday Hmm

MouseLove · 31/12/2016 13:38

Thank you girls. I meant to say that before. Decaf coffee here I come. 😮

Missy, sorry for the BFN. If it makes you feel any better mine was whiter than white 2 days ago at CD32. I mean, not even a wiff.

I almost didn't test this morning. I only did to make sure I wasn't.

Pugmummy87 · 31/12/2016 13:50

Woop Woop mouse! Congratulations! What a fantastic way to end the year!

Sorry missy but as AF isn't here yet, you're still in with a chance! Flowers

Welcome ns your birthday is 2 days after mine. (I will be turning 30). Fx this thread is lucky for you.

I'm 9dpo today. Temp is staying at a steady 36.7-36.75, but I've felt a bit ratty today, hoping it may just be because I didn't sleep well last night (cough and my asthma is playing up at the moment), but it's probably pmt starting.

Starmist · 31/12/2016 13:54

Ahhhhh congrats Mouse!!!! StarStarStar what wonderful news xx

Sorry Missy hopefully it's just too early. FX.

Kwick I echo what others have said, that bean is the most important thing - do whatever you can to reduce your stress at work.

Welcome ns!
