Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

kwick · 30/12/2016 13:39

I AIN'T going nowhere!!! You guys are stuck with me!!!!

Ahhh marmite you made me cry... I have been mentioned on the grads!!!! That is lovely!!! How are you my lovely? 25 weeks????? WOW!!!

So geeup I did a medicated IUI - so I did not even do opks as the hormones interfere with the strips - the FC checked for my LH. The magic potion was inserted on 17 December - but I guess you want cd - which will not help as the hormones meant my cycle was faster. I have never charted... bad enough I have to take thyroxine at 5am each morning without having to shove a thermometer up my fanjo Grin

fxskip I love you too 💓 have not calculated EDD yet (I guess sometime in September).

Of course ladies I am SHIT scared I will have another MC so need to keep a lid on my excitement.

mouse don't mind if I do: CakeBrew yummy!

MrsG280516 · 30/12/2016 13:42

Big congrats to FXskip and kwick!! How lovely guys!!!! More grads yay!

I had my early scan today and dated at 7w 6d which is spot on with ovulation and a lovely strong heartbeat Smile we are very very happy.

If I don't speak to you before the new year, hope everyone has an amazing one and I hope everyone single one of you gets the BFP you deserve in 2017 StarStarStar

I am completely THRILLED for you! What a blessing! Oh I'm chuffed to mintballs, I really am! 🎁💟💙🐘🎊🎉🍰👑🎀💐

Baby bomb news below : don't want to upset anyone

I'm good ta, Lawrie will be 5 weeks on Monday, he's awesome. Ended up with an EMCS after 30 hours of labour because I never dilated past 6cm. He was back to back and at a funny angle and with his hand up by his face so would never have fit through my pelvis apparently without doing some serious damage, especially as he was 8 lb 15 oz at birth. There was an audible gasp when they pulled him out and a few "blimey, he's a biggun!" from the nurses, but all in all, it was a good experience and I'm thankful for the NHS. Dh is yet to recover from the birth, traumatised doesn't cover it. Baby was going to be called Dexter, but after seeing the c-section, Dh couldn't face it (he's a fan of the show!)

baby bomb news end

Been a rollercoaster year with some really horrendous things happening and he's been the light at the end of the tunnel. Feel really fortunate and lucky and I know it will happen for each and every one of you too. It WILL.

Much love and PMA going into the new year, have my fingers crossed (but legs firmly shut for now) for every one of you xxx xxx

WingingIt83 · 30/12/2016 13:57

So glad you are sticking around kwick we need your words of wisdom!

So after my lovely birthday present yesterday I found myself slightly lacking in supplies as we were down with my parents, so had to take a trip to the supermarket. Is this not the most sadly ironic photo ever!

Couldn't hold back the tears last night so told DH who doesnt deal with me crying very well and so is all up for getting himself tested in the new year. Can people remind me what the procedure is? Is it better to go to somewhere like Create privately or would going via GP be just as quick?

alexia you will be, you'll see. 2017.

kwick I am nervous as hell too, going for my 7 wk scan in 2 weeks!! Longest tww ever I can assure you. Ladies who have never had a bfp believe us when we say the agonising wait doesn't end with the two pink lines. I feel so sad that my family pregnancy announcement will be tinged with '....hopefully this one sticks'.

My acupuncturist has recommended haramaki - cotton wraps - for keeping the uterus and kidneys warm during ttc - with the added bonus of being able to use them to fill pregnancy-belly gaps later on. I've just bought some, will let you know how I get on!

marmite I'm half like 25 weeks is that all?! And half like what, where is your 6month old?! It feels like forever since you got your bfp!!

Binkybunny13 · 30/12/2016 14:36

I've been lurking as I'm in 2WW territory and starting to go mad, symptom spotting and hoping, but just seen the fabulous news and had to come back and say YES KWICK THAT IS FLIPPING FANTASTIC AND I AM SO SO SO HAPPY FOR YOU! The best of luck for a peaceful uneventful pregnancy BrewCake

Winging- I feel for you Flowers hang on in there, shite as it is we WILL get our babies. Afraid I can't help with the testing advice but will be interested in the answers too.

miwelaisjacydo · 30/12/2016 14:36

Hi all am having a tv day today!

Mrs g that scan picture is so clear!

I really really really really wish 2017 would be the year for us all.

I want more than anything a baby.

So this month am trying something new... temping etc

I know it's been asked a million times already but what food do I need to eat/not eat?

Have a kidney infection again I think.

kwick · 30/12/2016 14:54

mrsg I am so glad your scan went well! Happy New Year!

Thank you so much Alexia! I was going to try and do the maths to see when 7 week scan should be - but you have made it so much easier Grin where did you go to calculate?

starky!!!! You have such a way with words!!! Your poor DH!!! How are you finding things?

wing Flowers what a fcuker! Goid news OH happy to test - I suggest you go private as it will be faster and I think amounts quoted previously have been around £90.

fxskip I am going to look up the wraps - thanks for the tip.

miw hope you are wrong about kidney infection... are you to see a Dr? Flowers
My philosophy is this: drink loads of blue milk on lead up to ovulation

Ok so I really should get out and to the Post Office...

AlexiaB · 30/12/2016 15:13

kwick I use www.yourduedate.com and select the option 'date I conceived' which is the most accurate as it dates from ovulation day. I believe week 7 for you will start on Sat 21st Jan. It'll be here in no time!

Sorry you're having such a hard time of it winging Flowers I'm feeling very down too tbh. I would definitely use Create Fertility. It was £95, very professional service and we had the results back within 2 hours. The NHS will make you wait weeks/months for an appointment and you won't get the results back for at least a week!

miw temping is a good idea and if you need support we will help you here. Keep your feet and uterus warm at all times in the tww. Food wise I'd just suggest eating healthy and nourishing foods. Lots of spinach, red pepper and other foods high in folic acid. Nuts and full fat dairy is also a good shout.

Hi Binky, fx for you xx

miwelaisjacydo · 30/12/2016 15:15

Kwick - I will if it's not any better by Monday. I will drink loads of water to hope it clears by itself. Ok will put blue milk on shopping list.

Am so excited for you kwick.

Londonjam · 30/12/2016 15:35

Hugs winging stay strong lovely it will happen 💐 we used Create fertility for DH SA.

Glad our grads are doing well! Congratulations on your boy starky that's wonderful news 😌 I would love to see a pic if it wouldn't upset others?

Haramaki sound amazing fxskip can't wait to get involved with these

Alexia it does feel like being left out at school! I can't wait to join grads too ☹️ hopefully it won't be much longer

Mouse that cake looks good!

Miw I am musing over temping too...
