Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Well by rights if not DTD much leads to a BFP then I am on to a winner as I have not DTD AT ALL!!!

I did POAS... was a dud... I may have saved wee so can try again

Just thought I'd let you guys know I've had funding confirmed from my CCG so will be expecting an appointment date in the new year hopefully to talk about starting IVF. Kind of sad but also the best possible Xmas present. Not how I planned to get pregnant but hopefully it's just part of our journey. LSFX everyone!

Alexia, thanks for sharing the graphic. I guess there's less to do in the winter months!! Let's hope the trend continues.

My best mate has just text me saying she's spoken to another specialist at work (she's an obstetrician) who said our morphology result is nothing to worry about. I've heard this a few times from reliable sources so why can't I believe it? I guess I won't really until I see that elusive second line

She also emphasised the importance of frequent sex throughout the month. She was very insistent about this! 3-4 times a week, regardless of fertile week. If we don't have any luck this cycle then we are going for this tactic next month. Better give DH the heads up... 😨😂

Jam that's great news! We've been doing the extra sex thing for months now after being recommended. We don't let it go more than 2-3 days and DH just does it himself during af and when we're too tired/not in the mood. It's all about that regular healthy sperm production! Keep those balls turning over

Cheers hon. We're pretty good after af finishes we do it regularly until ovulation. We don't do it at all during the TWW - but DH does make sure the swimmers stay fresh. Maybe we need to keep going and ignore fw?

london my bfp came from doing this, but I won't lie it's pretty hard to keep it up (no pun intended 😂). I have been really quite anxious about feeling low about af appearing this month so haven't dtd much since ovulation, much to OH annoyance. Can't blame him though, needs to be about us and not just baby making (well attempting anyway). Think if I let him know it's to be a regular full cycle job he would be quite happy to oblige 😂. And if those in the know are telling you its good results then relax 😊. Hard I know but every little bit less stress is good for you x

To all of you suffering this month, I know exactly how you feel. Each announcement, even on here when we are cheering each other on, is hard to swallow. Your body is doing exactly what it needs to do, know that. If you haven't had a sniff of a bfp, it's not because there's something wrong with you, it's because your body isn't ready yet - even though your mind is. Maybe it needs a helping hand, too. You aren't failing anyone, you're not letting anyone down. You are strong as fuck, when you get to hold your baby in your arms, whether it's a year from now or 5, you'll be amazing mothers and part of that will be because of this pain. Trust the path you're on is the right one for you.

You're so right - it's not a race and we're all on different journeys the only commonality is the destination.
It is hard but lovely to see BFP's on here - especially to those ladies ttc#1 and who have been trying for a good few cycles... these ladies provide the most encouragement to those of us still waiting.

Love the PMA fxskip made me feel quite teary reading that. Hope all is going well with you. AF has only just gone for me, we're in Italy at the moment with DHs family so has been a nice distraction, trying to cut back on the prosecco consumption now though!
