Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Sk1pper I think that's a possibility for CD18 ovulation which might mean tomorrow I get AF. Or not. I think I've given up trying to guess a little now.

Not having the best of moods the last day or two, feeling a bit fed up. Anxious about Saturday and my scan and that we're doing new year at our house for the first time ever in a bid to have a better year next year. I'm not even flipping superstitious but I'm willing to try anything. 3 baby bombs over Christmas and so many on here that I got myself upset. So bad! I'm never normally like that.

Had a rather shit day yesterday. Started out nice enough but on way home I ended up being abused/followed for about 2 miles by the most horrible person I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Complete road rage tosser, wife and kids in the car, wasn't happy he could race through the traffic stated shouting at me, I told him he should mind his language in front of women and children, his responce was to tell me to fck off and go and die you cnt. Then told me he wasn't scared to give a women a good slapped when they needed it! Finally shook him off when I started recording him with my mobile. Merry Christmas right enough!

Anyway, cd28 here. Just done an IC which was whiter than white so the witch must be right about ready to show her face. Nothing prompts her out quicker than a pee stick.

For new years we have been invited to party with OH family but think we both fancy a quiet one. Can do our first footing on the first and be nice and fresh for a change .

mouse your scan will be fine. Look at it as a positive step towards getting things sorted out for your bfp in 2017 x

Mouse it's totally natural to worry, it is a big step in the right direction to getting sorted. I'm sure your party will be fine, as long as people have some 🥂 they're generally happy on NYE!

Pug that Ovusense thing looks amazing! Great chart & great peace of mind too knowing exactly what's going on in there! If temping didn't work so well for me I'd definitely invest but I can't justify the price atm because I already have something that works well for me. Mouse I really think you'd benefit from something like this. Dealing with irregular and unpredictable cycles is the worst, and it's just added stress you don't need when ttc is already hard enough! Opks alone aren't going to cut it because it's so easy to miss your surge or get frustrated because you don't see a positive. Maybe something to think about to give you some control back? We arrived home late last night from my parent's after a wonderful Xmas with no arguments! With you all on the January detox. I'll probably start tomorrow! We're just having a quiet New Years at home too.

I think I ovulated yesterday. Just need a couple more high temps to confirm it. Yes? Can't wait to be in the tww.

mouse your feelings are understandable and normal, don't beat yourself up about how you feel. Just feel the feelings, and then pick yourself up and move on. You will feel better, and be better equipped to deal with tough times for having gone through all this.

I have been at home for a while - just cannot seem to get warm... keep on heating up a seed bottle for my feet... still have not got up the bottle (or wee) to POAS....

alexia that's exactly what I said and actually was worried last night that he was in such a rage I wouldn't doubt he took it out on the wife with his fists.

The kids didn't seem to cry or anything. I fear that his behaviour is not abnormal to them

kwick I told my OH about your warm feet advice (mines are always cold) so for part of my Christmas he has bought me a pair of thick woolly fleece lined socks. They are magic! fx for your bfp x

london im 95% sure I'm out but there's that little part of me says your not out till your out. But post mc my cycles dropped from a lovely standard 28 day down to 24/25, so if af does turn up then at least I know I'm creeping back up to normal again. So I'll take that as a positive x

jam I know exactly how you feel. I have those strange moments too where it hits me like a ton of bricks. I keep thinking 90% of women get pregnant with a year, 95% in 2 years...how can it be that I am in the lonely, unlucky 5%?

I'm going back home to the States on Friday. Only going for a week but feel obliged to meet up with friends from Uni. There were 5 of us. 2 have had their first babies within the last 2 months. 1 had her 2nd a few months ago. 1 is pregnant with her 3rd. Then there's me...

Hello everybody and hope you've had a lovely Christmas
I've just been away for a city break and started to get a bit fed up of being late & runnig into toilets just in case (there was a lot of walking and I didn't want any accidents)
Husband got fed up and bought me a cheapy test in the evening - I thought in my head, even if I was preg there's no way I'd gt a line without FMU ..I've taken a cheapy, two branded, a clear blue digital and then 2 more today. He finally believes it! I can't!

What a horrible experience for you peaches, he sounds so volatile and those situations can escalate so easily. Those poor children too.

Kwick, hopefully cold feet is a good sign that all the blood is pumping to something else! Only a few days to go now...

I agree with the others too mouse, it's totally understandable to be worried. I think having something like this hanging over you over Christmas is the worst too.

EJ, glad to hear that DH is recovering. I hope he hasn't been too upset by the whole thing.

We're also having a quiet NYE. I think we'll pop out to our local pizza place for an early dinner and then watch a film at home. I'm long past the days when going out seems appealing and we have a fancy bottle of champagne in our fridge just for the occasion!

london I feel like everyone I know IRL conceived first or second time trying. To be fair my CP was second cycle. But I think it's more because people don't tend to be open about when it doesn't work so easily - glad that there is space on the internet to share and support!

alexia this was cycle 4 and the only thinks different was we barely DTD because DH was working away

Mouse - it's fine to have a wobble from time to time. Don't compare yourself to others though, your time will come and there is nothing to feel anxious about - getting the scan done is the right thing to be doing right now so I echo everyone else's sentiments.

Peaches - what a horrible experience, some people are complete a-holes. Fx AF stays away for you.

Bleh I've spent all day playing computer games but I'm meeting my extended family for a meal in an hour. More unhealthy food and drink incoming! My poor body, I should have prepared it for all this.
