Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

To those thathat asked, this is the ovusense sensor.

www.ovusense.com/uk/

Basically it's a sensor that reads your core body temperature every 5 minutes overnight (vaginally), there is an app and you connect the sensor daily via the app to download the data. It's meant to be 99% accurate in clinical trials and is especially goof for women with pcos.

I've done bbt via thermometer before and my temperatures looked like the rocky mountains whereas my temps don't fluctuate nearly as much using this so it's so much easier to identify the rise in temp. Opks don't help me either.
For future cycles, it should help me to identify when my fertile week is and we can hopefully time things better.

It's a bit expensive (I got a discount) but I'm very impressed with it so far.

💐binky I too had Thought about having a little one by now or at least with one cooking.

Congrats on become by an Aunty wing ... it's hard though isn't it. Being TTC and watching nearest and dearest becoming pregnant. It's such a mix of emotions. Obviously your happy but sad at same time. It will happen!

I am having the mother of all AFs here. Painful and long! Am giving it one last month before going to the dr.

miwelaisjacydo · 27/12/2016 10:04

Pug that looks good. Expensive yes but good.

Peaches8Posies · 27/12/2016 11:57

Morning ladies (just! Haha)

Had a super lazy day yesterday think I'll pop out have a bit of fresh air have a wonder round some shops.

fxskip glad you all had a nice day with your MIL. Sharing your news with supportive friends/family is a good thing. Thesee first few weeks will be an anxious time, but the stats are all in your favour for everything to work out as it should.

winging my friend and I were pregnant at the same time so she has had her little one. Not going to lie as much as it is lovely and I'm really happy for her there's a little twinge of sadness on my part for what should have been.

pug not sad at all. That looks the business! Last month I convinced myself I was wrong about everything ttc related, timing, frequency etc... so I broke out the Opks and got a nice big positive right on the day I thought it should. There's reassurance in knowing that you are doing the things you can when soo much of this ttc is out with our control.

mwi hope it passes soon and you can enjoy the new year with out the rotten cramps.

harriet yeh for the Jan start. Think we all have a bit of a food baby belly going on. Well I do. I have soo many chocs wine etc..I have no idea what to do with them all. OH usually gets a food parcel to take in to work. Saves me going over board all through Jan lol. After new years day I'll get back in to my exercise etc...

Anyone have any nice plans for new years eve?

Londonjam · 27/12/2016 12:21

Glad your family were in good spirits and hope your mil enjoyed the day fxskip. Are you not telling anyone for a while then?

Congrats winging, it must be tough. If I held a newborn anytime soon I think I'd fall apart with longing ☹️

Hurrah to almost TTC again Harriet you've been so patient!

Defo need a diet overhaul in January and to cut back again on alcohol. I've enjoyed some champagne, g&t and red wine over the last few days - figure there may as well be some upside to not being pregnant. Time to cut back again in January!

New Years I'm off to my best mates in Sheffield peaches and then up to the in laws in West Yorkshire for New Year's Day. What are you up to?

sk1pper · 27/12/2016 13:10

Winging - congratulations! Don't worry, it's your time soon xx

Kwick - when's your test date?

MouseLove · 27/12/2016 13:14

Well, nothing to report here on CD30. 🤔

Hippychic79 · 27/12/2016 16:23

Fx mouse and fair play for not poas xxxxx

MouseLove · 27/12/2016 17:17

I'll have to POAS on Thursday or I can't have my MRI scan on Saturday.

FXSkip · 27/12/2016 22:00

mouse it would be Sod's law for you to be upduffed now.... are you holding out till Thursday?

Back to work tomorrow, massive night out on Friday night too Confused I'm going to have one prosecco, take ages with it, and then order mocktails all night and hope that no one notices I'm not wasted!! Hopefully new year will be a quiet affair as I can't be bothered pretending any more. Luckily I can say I'm giving up all unhealthy vices for NY, so that should buy me some time.

How's everyone doing? Any new bus tickets to add??

MouseLove · 27/12/2016 22:16

I have no idea when or if I ovulated.

We DTD 9, 10, 12 & 13.
I got EWCM on days 16,17 & 18
and negative OPK on days 11-16.

I got my letter for my MRI on day 17 so didn't do anymore OPK. And we didn't DTD until CD26. Ive had a few belly aches the last few days so I was thinking I might be starting AF but nowt. I only have a few cheapie IC in the house. I think Thursday FMU will have to happen.

sk1pper · 27/12/2016 23:41

We're your opks starting to get dark mouse or we're they blank?

MummySara · 28/12/2016 00:25

hey, im Sara 36, ttc2, on 3rd cycle. cd16, 4dpo. if i dont concieve this month ill probably lose my nuts....getting very frustrated!

sk1pper · 28/12/2016 08:14

Hey Sara, this is a TTC#1 thread, there are a few TTc#2 threads on the board.

Hippychic79 · 28/12/2016 08:28

Hope you all had a nice Christmas ladies xxxxx

sk1pper · 28/12/2016 08:47

Hey hippy - Xmas was good thanks but I think I prefer the build up to the actual day. OH and I didnt buy gifts for each other this year and we had a budget of £10 for everyone else so we're not so poor this time round (we need to save for our wedding!) I've eaten lots of unhealthy food and drink though, my TTC diet has literally been forgotten. How has your Xmas been?

MouseLove · 28/12/2016 09:09

Sk1pper they were a mix, didn't get darker at all. Did them at 1pm holding from 10am. I'm creeping out of normal range now lol. My bloody luck.

kwick · 28/12/2016 09:41

wing hang in there - you will get your BFP soon. Remember you are in perfect time.

Kathrino · 28/12/2016 09:47

Morning ladies, checking in after Christmas. I hope you all had a lovely few days. We had a grand time but after two days with my family and then two days with DH'a family, we were very glad to return to the peace and quiet of our little flat last night!

Nothing much to report here, 5 DPO I think. Thought I felt some cramps last night but have told myself that it's too early to feel anything and it's probably just over indulgence! Jam, I'm definitely with you on the need for a diet overhaul come January!

kwick · 28/12/2016 09:56

peaches I am having a cosy dinner with a friend and will probably be in bed by 1am Grin

sk1pper my OTD is 1 January but I will most probably start testing today when I get home from my mum's

EJ2009 · 28/12/2016 10:07

Hi all. We are just popping out the other side from christmas. I ate and drank what i liked. Which included baileys, champagne and lots of beige food. I typically eat well, tonnes of organic fruit and veg & nothing processed so feeling like a slug in a log this morning. Christmas totally nearly took my mind off ttc but yestersay i looked at a picture of my dh cuddling our 4 y/o neice on christmas day & just had the biggest pang that i want our baby here next christmas for him to cuddle.

In positive news DH is doing better. Stitches coming out end of the week and he's walking about quite well.

HepKestrel · 28/12/2016 10:12

Good news on your dh ej.

Christmas was good for us- ate too much, and drank too much!

Only one comment from sil- did we know anyone who wanted their old baby stuff? Sigh...

Hope everyone is well. We are now looking forward to an antisocial new year Grin... Just us, at home no visitors..... Grin

Londonjam · 28/12/2016 11:17

Maybe you ovulated a bit later mouse? Hope you find out soon either way

Ooh when are you getting married skipper?

Glad I'm not the only one who let TTC rules out of the window for Christmas! We can support each other back to healthy eating in January 👍🏼

Fx kwick!!

Glad your oh is on the mend EJ

I'm well and truly feeling the TWW hormone shift today. Feel weepy and hopeless and like it's never going to happen again ☹️ everyone now and then it's like I wake up and realise that this isn't a dream - my worst nightmare has actually come true and we don't seem to be able to conceive. I feel slightly in shock about it at times. I think it's also having too much time on my hands. Can't believe I'm saying this but sometimes I'm better off being distracted at work!

Anyway Sodding hormones can eff off. Am going out for a foggy walk to clear my head!

sk1pper · 28/12/2016 11:19

Mouse - perhaps you ovulated later, if you was getting EWCM on day 18 it's possible I guess. Sod's law says you're preggers! Xmas Wink

Kwick - gah!!! I can't wait for you to test. I'm crossing my fingers, legs and womble for you.

EJ - glad your DH is recovering and good for you letting go this Xmas. Know what you mean about seeing kids at Xmas. I was entertaining my niece and nephew all of Boxing Day and it was great fun, but when we went home to our comparatively quiet house it really hit home.

Hep - same here, we'll probably be in bed before 12. So anti social but it's the best...

Hippychic79 · 28/12/2016 11:22

Pm you Sk1pper xx
