Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Congrats star and skip! Lovely Christmas present.

My Christmas present has been my puppy coming into her first season...the day before she was due to be spayed! I have spent the last two days chasing her around the house with doggy period pants and changing out little sanitary pads...Ho Ho Ho

Sorry, this post seems incredibly inadequate for everything that I've missed but at least it's a start!

I'm 6+2 and taking each day as it comes with both excitement and anxiety! I'm trying to consider myself ~85% likely to be pregnant until I see a heartbeat. It sounds pessimistic but it's just a way for me to try and manage my expectations. Going to book an early scan for 8 weeks so not too long to wait!

We will continue to support you fxskip ... your mother ... omg .... I thought mine was insensitive.... I'm sending your mum lots of love as I think she needs it and I'll be praying for you Hun ... im sure it will be fine. I met a girl in the gym yesterday who is 15 weeks pregnant and was told she was infertile so I can only conclude that mum's and doctors are not always right. I also know a lady that was diagnosed with a terminal illness given 6 months to live 8 years ago and is still here today .... keep the faith fxskip xxxxxxxxxxxx

All ok on mum front now - she came in with a ☕️ this morning and I said "have you come to apologise?" And she said "well I brought you your tea" and I said "apology accepted"
She is a great mum just not with accepting I am a fatty.

Thanks - I'll be going for an early scan too (in 4 weeks!) as I really felt like being prepared for the mc last time helped mentally. The stats are so confusing - 25% of pregnancies expected to end in mc, but at 6 weeks you have 87-92% chance of success. Anyway, enough of that!
I think my mum was just trying to cover the disappointment that she felt that I didn't seem to want to ttc, so I just try to be patient with her and not kick off an argument.
Right, merry Christmas to you all - I hope you can all put ttc/early pgs out of your minds and enjoy this special time with loved ones. Put it this way, it might be the last relaxed Xmas you have if you have a LO next year, so just enjoy it! Xxx

Fx for the rest of us. I think I may have ovulated late Thursday/Friday. Big temp rise Friday and it rose again today on my sensor. Hopefully a couple more high temps and ovusense will confirm it. We've timed it well this month too.

Not sure who is doing the list anymore (?jam)but could you put me down for 6th Jan please. It's my 30th birthday meal out with friends and family that evening too lol.

I just wanted to quickly wish everyone a very merry Christmas before the festivities begin. Thank you for being a truly wonderful group of ladies, I only joined the thread half way through the year but I'm entirely grateful for that time I've had with you all.

2017 will be a very good year for all of us - we'll have lots more BFPS, lots of graduations and even some births!! Onwards and upwards...

Sorry to all those with insensitive mothers / friends / families. There's nothing like the enforced jollity and company of others to bring out the worst in some people. It takes me about 10 mins to revert to being a grumpy teenager and get sick of being nagged by their mum whenever I get home ;)

I'm pretty sure I ovulated yesterday (just before a delicious, if slightly boozy, lunch!). Hopefully the 7 courses will have given the egg enough energy for success (NB, I know that's not how it actually works!)

Argh I'm on cycle day 37 now. Had a late ovulation this month and for the past week/10 days I've had this on my OPKs (the one on the packaging is from today, the other is from CD 32)
According to my app I'm now not due until Boxing Day. I hate this messed up cycle - I'm glying on Boxing Day too so that will be fun if the witch takes me by surprise!!
Did a preg test about a week and a half ago for some reason. Obviously. BFN

jam my boobs are still super sore... and I think a spot is developing on my forehead - spots is hopefully a good sign 🕉

Had to take a little time out. It's been a hard few months for me. Been really down. After my MC I (stupidly) thought that I would be super fertile, conceive again very easily and would have a second pregnancy to help ease the hurt of my November due date. Never came to pass, so onwards and upwards. Didn't help that a member of my family announced she was expecting with a man she has hardly started seeing, doesn't really like, and has done nothing in the way of acting responsible during the whole pregnancy (including refusing to give up the heavy smoking!) I just keep thinking you have no idea how fortunate you are and you really are not giving a shit! Anyway, that's a whole other story, not for Christmas eve .

Will catch up properly after the madness of Christmas day, but quick hello everyone, to all the newbies hope your stay here isn't long. kwick I hope you are harbouring your own little sticky bean. fxskip YES!! I hope this is your time and your MIL gets to share in the excitement with you and your dh. alexia hi (waving) hope you feel a bit more up beat. London i truly hope your efforts this month have worked for you, but never the less jump your dh as soon as he is through the door and get dtd just in case .

Like many of you lovely ladies I'm off to the docs come January. I truly have tried everything I can as has OH so time for a little investigation me thinks. 2016 may not have been our year but by hook or by crook 2017 will bloody well be our year .

I too thought I would be super fertile after MC... and then again after hycosy... God I so hope this IUI has worked!!

If not I do believe I will be starting treatment with IVI in Spain - they have no shortage of donors and very high success rates. My friend had her son with them 11 years ago.
