Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Morning Ladies ...
Glad you're feeling brighter today Miw. I know what you mean - trying to be happy round friends and family with kids becomes increasing difficult when you're TTC... it won't be long, you're time will come.
I've got a few more hours until i break for xmas, then off to my acumpuncture appointment for fertility boosting needle energy :)
i can't wait to get home and put my feet up... on CD 4 today and I'm not sure what's worse, the pre fertile time wait or the 2WW....
hopefully with having a week off, I'll get to dtd lots over xmas but i think my fertile window is another 10 days away..... oh well... practise makes perfect i guess :))
xxxxxxxxxxxxx

WingingIt83 · 23/12/2016 09:19

sk1p no this is only the first and my cd3 test will prob fall on new years day so will have to wait until the next one to do that. I need to see another doctor next time as the one I saw didn't suggest she would kick off any other investigatons until 2yrs :-(

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 09:22

Hippy - same here, AF is so boring. My period is crazy light though, I'm absolutely chuffed. Not having to wear both a tampon and a pad is like Christmas come early for me....yeah I know, TMI. Sorry if anyone's eating their breakfast!

Have a nice relaxing acupuncture session, that's a well timed appointment! My plans are: get through work, go home, crack open a can of cold lime and kiwi cider.

harrietm87 · 23/12/2016 09:23

Yay star congrats!!!! What lovely xmas news.

I'm staying with the inlaws atm before spending Christmas with my family, away from DH (he's staying here). Really wishing I wasn't leaving him but we always said we'd wait until we had children before spending it together (we both live far from family and don't see them much)...just hope this is the last one like this!

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 09:24

Winging - I had a similar scenario and just went to see another Doctor. You shouldn't have to wait 2 years, that's rubbish. Eventually you'll see one who decides to do their job!

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 10:03

Hey Sk1pper – hopefully xmas will whizz by and it won’t be long till will back in the 2WW.
I’m so pleased your period is a lot lighter than usual, this is great news. I really think some acupuncture would help you, especially with you being so open to the idea. I have it every week and for the first time ever, have experienced zero pain this period and have not needed to take any paracetamol which is a first. Might be the raspberry tea… or maybe it’s the PMA that’s doing it for us both.
I’m going to get some clary sage and rose otto essential oils next week as I’ve read these are good for fertility pre-ovulation… which I’ll put in my bath…. Which I’ll sit in for at least an hour, whilst eating pineapple, wearing bed socks and repeating my affirmations  lol

Enjoy your cider my friend and thank you so, so much for welcoming me and for your support.
2017 is our year I’m sure.
xxx

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 10:24

Sage and rose oils? /furiously scribbles some notes Grin

I'll try anything!

HepKestrel · 23/12/2016 11:17

Bed socks in the bath ? Hmm....

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 11:19

Sk1pper - it has to be clary sage :)

Hep - I'll try it all.... maybe not altogether though lol

xxxx

kwick · 23/12/2016 11:22

hippy I think I am a CHAV - I live in an (ex) council house and I am quite vulgar Grin

jam I really hope your friend is on the mend. So tragic.

miranda how awful for your sister.
When are you going to POAS?????

Welcome orange!!!

Oooo sk1pper lime and kiwi cider? Is that non-alcoholic?
Tesco's has NO non-alcoholic mulled wine yesterday Angry

I am all packed up ready to go to my mum's for Christmas!!!

Is it wrong to have a HUGE crush on Chris Pratt? Confused

Kathrino · 23/12/2016 11:38

Welcome orange!

miw, glad you're feeling a bit better. My best friend has a 9 month old son and he's one of my favourite people in the world. I had originally hoped we'd have children around the same age but now I can't wait for him to be a 'big brother'.

Hippy, enjoy the acupuncture. Hopefully it will leave you extra fertile for the Christmas period!

Winging, definitely see another doc. I'm another '83 baby and I definitely won't be hanging around for 2 years.

Kwick, have a great time with your mum - I hope she spoils you rotten! And no, nothing wrong with Chris Pratt at all. I love him in Parks and Rec so much.

It's my DH's birthday today so we're ignoring Christmas for a while. I'm taking him out for a fancy pants lunch shortly and then we'll come home to eat our body weight in cake CakeCakeCake

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 11:47

Hep - wet socks are horrible, ugh ugh! What a horrible mental image - like nails on a chalk board.

Kwick - sorry lovely, there is most definitely alcohol in them. But they are coke can size so one or two a day will be fine for me, but I'm not in the 2ww like you... Nah Chris Pratt has really buffed up the last few years.

Kath - have a really lovely day! Xx

HepKestrel · 23/12/2016 12:06

kwick absolutely not Grin

Have already got OH to agree to take me to see guardian's of the galaxy vol2 for my birthday.

I have had a completely indulgent lie in, as tomorrow we start the "Christmas tour" visiting relatives. Unfortunately Hermes are withholding my nephew's present as it is damaged? He's 5! Emergency trip to toys r us may be needed.

HepKestrel · 23/12/2016 12:53

Xmas Sad well, parcel for nephew was damaged and not delivered. And now it is sold out....

One panic shopping trip to toys r us coming up....

kwick · 23/12/2016 14:23

Ooo I have not seen Parks and Recreation... maybe I should kathrino

Have not seen Guardian's of the Galaxy either!!!

hep good luck in toysrus!!!

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 14:55

Whaaaaat? You MUST see Guardians of the Galaxy, it's one of my favourite films and definitely my favourite Marvel film. Definitely watch it, if just for dear old Chris.

Londonjam · 23/12/2016 15:14

Happy Friday girls Brew

Glad you are feeling a bit brighter miw Xmas Smile

Hope you enjoyed your acupuncture hippy I miss it! Sooooo relaxing. Just a bit expensive!

Skipper you've really got your cycle and periods under control now, it must be time for your BFP Xmas Grin

Kwick I think you sound just brill Xmas Grin have you got a gorgeous vulgar tree?? My friend is home from hospital thankfully but I think it will be a long slow road to recovery. They put a lovely picture on Facebook of their tiny angel wrapped in a blanket, you could just see his little feet Sad a very tough Christmas for them

Hope your DH enjoys his birthday kath!

Good luck in toys r us hep Xmas Confused I helped my mum do the Christmas food shop this morning. It was mental Xmas Shock she massively appreciated the help though.

OPK has gone faint again now. It surged Wednesday and was strong positive still yesterday. Not sure when egg here. Just hoping swimmers are still around from Wednesday morning. Not much I can do about it with DH in San Diego Xmas Envy

Got a very dodgy tummy today too so all in all I don't think we stand much of a chance this month!

Anyway presents are all wrapped under the tree and my bread sauce is under way. I'm in the Christmas zone Xmas Smile

Miranda234 · 23/12/2016 15:30

Hi everyone,

AF arrived this afternoon so I'm out, hard to not be disappointed but trying to stay positive and glad I have Christmas to look forward to Xmas Smile

sk1pper · 23/12/2016 16:27

Miranda234 · 23/12/2016 17:47

Thanks sk1pper I certainly will Grin

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 17:57

Kwick - I'm sure you're not a chav ...
I'm not a snob - my folks both from council houses ... no link between smelly people and council houses intended at all xxx

Kathrino & Jam - acupuncture was amazing and it's only £7.50 per sesh so not expensive if you say you'll go weekly and tell them why :))) xxx

Hep - good luck in any shop at this time of year especially toys r us xxx

Flowers for you Miranda xxxxx

FXSkip · 23/12/2016 18:02

Arrrgghh hep nightmare -did you get it sorted?

jam good effort braving the shops! Today I bravely faced the high street to buy all DHs presents (except mine obvs) as he was working late shift and I had unexpected day off. Finally home, drenched and freezing, and he's made me dinner and mulled wine and then we're going to snuggle and watch elf - yay!! Although I had a wobble when he talked about santa and I kept thinking what a great dad he'd make!

kwick I love that you're a chav! I think I am too, though I'm from a naice family, I'm the one that wears trainers everywhere and swears and has no concept of tmi lol! I have no interest in keeping up appearances, it drives my family mad (Dh family a bit Hmmtoo)

So poas addict that I am, I did another opk today - CD 30. Pic attached, top one a few days ago the bottom one was just now.
Please someone tell me what my body is doing??

FXSkip · 23/12/2016 19:54
