Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Starmist congratulations. What a wonderful christmas present.

Thank you all for your love & well wishes. I have honestly never felt as sick in my life as hearing the voice of a stranger calling me from my husbands phone to say "your husband has been in an accident i'm staying with him until the ambulance comes" restored my faith in random kindness though. The couple that witnessed thr crash were wonderful.

He won't be able to do much at Christmas but at least he's home with me to enjoy it.

After a few drops of blood thought AF was here. Now nothing at all. Feel guilty because I have had a couple of Peroni thinking AF was here now am not so sure.

Miw - im the same! Been waiting for my full flow of AF and hasn't arrived, just spotting. I had a hot bath to try and lure it out...I hope it's here soon.

This is cycle 11. I'm just so shocked. Have been back to look at the test a few times to check the result is still there & I didn't imagine it.

This cycle the massive difference was we DTD less times than any other TTC cycle, we started really late as DH was ill. It was also my 1st time using opks. I had a + opk on CD 19. We DTD on CD 18, 19 & 21. I didn't do anything special other than keep my feet warm in the 2ww (thank you Kwick), I've been wearing socks in bed to keep them warm at night too.

Well AF here. I am gutted. Going to Dr in new year have decided .
Need some time to get over disappointment.
A September baby would have been ideal for us. Due to me working in school would have worked out well.
Feel like it is never going to happen.

Miw - of course it will happen! But yes go to the Doctor for your peace of mind. You probably won't even need it eventually but it gives you something to focus on. 2017 is your year.

I have woke up with more cramping, it's not severe but I keep thinking AF has fully started and yet again she's no where to be seen. That feels when you've accepted your not pregnant and then AF plays hide and seek for 3 days...ugh!!!

Miw - so sorry to hear the witch has arrived .... I completely understand how you feel although I was slightly prepared as I had two bfn leading up to mine and that crushed me completely on Sunday it really did. Try not to be disheartened, I can't remember how long you've been trying but the disappointment is crap all the same. for you xxxx

Oh yeah- and star thank you for the details ... me and my oh don't dtd as much as I'd like as he doesn't want to properly try till may so this gives me hope - I only get one chance to dtd each cycle so this helps me narrow it down so a big thank you xxxxx and for the socks tip ... I always get cold feet so for the first time ever some bed socks for Xmas will be my best present xxxx

Hippy - nah I love your PMA but I'm definitely out. Too much spotting and cramping. I just want the worst of it out the way before Xmas day. Unless I'm having a very light period but it would be the first of my life. How's yours going? Possibly a strange thing to ask another woman.

Miwe what cycle is this for you? Maybe seeing a doctor would put your mind at rest?

Well CD25 and no AF. Small victory. I'd love to make it to CD28 or within the normal range this cycle. CD28 is Christmas Day and I have 10 to cook for. Haha.

Hi Sk1pper – Well if the witch is coming I hope she comes soon, I will pm you what I do to bring her on as I know it’s TMI for public thread.
You never know, it could just be a light one. I’m going to stay positive for you, but I completely understand why you’re remaining pragmatic and rational. If you get your hopes up, the disappointment is a lot worse. Some cycles I know I’ve had the slightest of chances and they’re the ones that are easier to cope with when af shows… this cycle I got my hopes up and was absolutely mortified on Sunday. Obviously I gave myself a good talking to and came back stronger. I won’t let anything get the better of me anymore! 
Well yesterday, I decided to google what the ‘perfect period’ should be like and after 37 years on this planet, it looks like I’ve finally nailed it. I have the right colour blood (should be cranberry juice apparently and as I used to drink a lot of that with vodka I’m very familiar with the colour). I have absolutely no pains, no symptoms, I’m only using the hot water bottle because I’m a cold type (as they say in Chinese medicine) and I’ve taken no paracetamol. I’ve been drinking the raspberry leaf tea 3 times a day, maybe this has helped…. Either that or it’s the acupuncture and reflexology finally working out for me. I’ve had about 9 weeks of acupuncture and only 2 reflex sessions as they’re more expensive. My usual cycle is 29 days, however AF came on day 29 this cycle which means I actually had a 28 day cycle as day 29 became day 1, which is great – 28 day cycle is what I want. I would definitely recommend the acupuncture.

Hep - oh ok... I'm on cd 3... how long are your cycles? Luckily I don't have to poas at the in laws as we're only staying 2 nights ... good job as well as oh won't dtd there ... me? I'd do it anywhere :) I just want to get preggers :))) xxxxxxxx x
