Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Ah sorry gee and hippy for AF. But hippy, gotta love that PMA. I think It's so hard to forget how awesome life is sometimes.

My DH got offered a new job today. We're both ECSTATIC!! Just the news we needed.

Good news - nice one Mouse .... we all need to spread some positivity on here not just about tTC .... our lives are good and we all have lovely partners whom we want to be with forever .... and it's Xmas :))))

Thanks fxskip - good work on the list. I think I'm on cycle 5 ... my main issue is my other half works so much I'm only getting in one baby dance per cycle, two if I'm lucky and my timing is a bit out... clearly :))) I've only used opks on the last cycle too. I'm definitely in the naively trying camp :)))

Hey girls! So sorry I've been awol. Last AF hit me really hard emotionally, but also physically because of Femara. Thankfully this cycle the side effects have been very minor. Zero headaches and only mild toothache on and off. I'm cd8 and waiting for my egg!

I've also had so much going on - some good and some very bad incl. a huge fight with my mum right before Xmas aaahhh!

My advice if you aren't able to have regular sex with DH is to make him do the business himself every 2-3 days. This means you can be confident in the FW that even if it's just once or twice that it was with fresh, lively sperm. It's supposed to improve count and testosterone too. I'm not sure if your DH already does this but I thought I'd share. I make my DH do it after O when I cba for sex and also during AF. At first it was weird for him but now he sees it as part of his ttc job and feels like he's contributing something and not just me doing everything with opks, temping etc. Xx

FXSkip thanks for asking after me. I was expecting AF at some point from Sat-yesterday but promised myself I'd wait until Christmas Eve to test (arrghhhh). Still no sign of AF, not had any spotting. Hate feeling terrified of what I might find each time I go to the loo. Love your stats btw, very comprehensive.

I'm trying to keep away from Ovia and OPKs and just plodding on with DTD every other day until hopefully AF doesn't show in January and I get a BFP! Have been fielding questions about when we are going to start trying last couple of days (married this year) and I just want to tell people to sod off and that I'm trying to have a relaxed cycle of ignoring TTC stress! I know soon I'll hit LP though and the mad staring at baby clothes in shops will start again...

I know that we all munch away on pineapple like there's no tomorrow in the 2ww but mother nature is a great thing, and there are SO MANY additional foods we could be ingesting on our TTC journeys. So, with the danger of appearing extremely helpful, I'm going to outline one superfood each week that you may (or may not!) like to try...along with your pineapple core, bleugh!

Skipper you're a legend! That is such a good idea- I actually just read that whilst eating pineapple! (I feel like the teachers pet saying that but it's really true! ) Thank you for the information, shame I hate liquorice, might go for the ice cream per picture!

Liquorice all sorts must have some of that goodness in there somewhere Kwick - but I think a tea infusion would be best. ;)

I'm also on the pineapple. So temp chart looking good, I've not opkd this month but temp dipped on cd14 and rose on cd15 so did I ov on Cd14 do you think? If so that's a first for me, never been that early before on months I've tested. Lots of dtd before but not much after so fingers crossed.

I can get on board with pineapple but I'm not sure I can face anything liquorice; my least favourite thing to eat in the whole world. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick. I think I'll stick to ice cream like binky!
