Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Keeping everything crossed for you Skipper xx

InspectorPenguin · 20/12/2016 08:10

Crossing fingers for you Skipper! Our bodies play such tricks on our minds don't they? I have AF due towards the end of this week and yesterday my bra felt fuller and I had a bit of tenderness around my side boob area. It was very unusual for me as I never get any breast soreness in my cycle. I couldn't help but get a bit excited and then wham! this morning - nothing. Everything feeling normal and exactly like AF is on her way. So annoying :(

Welcome back Bluebird and best of luck with your IVF cycle in Feb. We look forward to hearing about your journey and seeing your long awaited BFP :)

Hi Binky! The relaxed approach seems to garner lots of BFPs so enjoy it. I would love to go back to doing the same but I seem to be a bit addicted to OPKs which I'm sure the fertility consultant would tell me off about Hmm

Hope you had a fab day yesterday Jam!

I have my work Christmas 'celebration day' today which I really don't feel in the mood for. I just want to wallow in my own frustration and emerge into society once AF has come and gone..! At least I can blame train strikes for needing to get home as everyone else gets tanked at the bar...

MouseLove · 20/12/2016 08:27

Oh Sk1pper I'm keeping EVERYTHING crossed for you. Including my f'in legs I'm chanting to the fertility gods to please give you your BFP this week. Xmas Smile

Penguin you're not out!!!! Remember pregnancy and AF symptoms are the same. FX!!!!!

Today is CD23 for me!!!! I wonder if I'll have another 23 day cycle... suppose I'll have to wait for tomorrow. I'm not hopeful though, tummy ache, bad moods, emotional. Meh.

geeup · 20/12/2016 08:29

Hi everyone apologies I haven't caught up on the thread yet (the old one and this new one!) - 3 weeks is a lot of posts! Sad news is that my relaxed approach didn't work and I'm CD1 with terrible period pain. Feeling very sad so close to Christmas. Also my DH and I are disagreeing on when we're ready to start IVF so a baby is feeling very far away. Looks like we've had a few BFPs - congratulations to you ladies. Will catch up when I can but just thought I'd say hi and I'm back.

geeup · 20/12/2016 08:30

Ps new ticket for Jan 15th pls if anyone's tracking.

Hippychic79 · 20/12/2016 09:10

I'm officially out for this month... af has arrived! Gutted - yes absolutely.
But I am very grateful for the following -

  1. The phenomenal support from all of you lovely ladies.
  2. My periods are regular and I have negligible symptoms
  3. I love my life
  4. I love and have a man who loves me
  5. I haven't lost the faith in the fact it will happen
  6. I'm a million percent sure that I want a baby
  7. It's nearly Christmas 🎄 yaaay

Good luck to all those still waiting
Fingers crossed and baby dust xxxxx

sk1pper · 20/12/2016 09:31

Hippy - just messaged you privately but sorry Flowers Do you eat cheese? I will literally gorge myself on cheese if AF arrives. Cheese and wine. OH is fully prepared for this scenario.

Miranda234 · 20/12/2016 09:41

Got everything crossed for you skipper!

Sorry af got you Gee it makes it so much harder around Christmas

Sorry af got you too Hippy but well done for being so positive about it, I will try to be the same when af arrives in a few days!

Fx for you penguin I'm driving myself a bit crazy now with the last bit of the tww, keep imagining symptoms and can't seem to distinguish if this is how I normally feel before af arrives, I'm sure it's just my mind playing tricks on me...

HepKestrel · 20/12/2016 09:47

Flowers hippy

FXSkip · 20/12/2016 11:26

Sorry geeup and hippy

Anyone seen Star she was due to test yesterday? Did AF get you Starmist??

FX for you sk1pper and EJ, then next stop Penguin and Miw - my stats have Penguin and Kwick as the last of the recent spate of HSG/Hycosy so FX it works for you both.

SkipsStats: Our average Grad is 30 and got their BFP on cycle 7.5. We are running at 21% upduffedness currently.

kwick · 20/12/2016 11:41

Sorry about AF geeup Flowers

Sorry hippy Flowers love the PMA

Loving the stats fxskip... hopefully I will get a sticky BFP so I do not skew them anymore Xmas Hmm

Binkybunny13 · 20/12/2016 11:42

Fxskip I love the stats! Let's hope to up that percentage!

Hippychic79 · 20/12/2016 11:48

Thank you ladies for the flowers Flowers, very much appreciated.
You have to stay positive in life - positivity attracts positivity. I know I will get pregnant soon , I'm just not sure when Wink
Fx for all those still in this month
Xxxxxxxx

Hippychic79 · 20/12/2016 11:49

Thanks for the pm Sk1pper I have replied xx

Not a big cheese fan so you can have mine 😂😜

Xxxx

sk1pper · 20/12/2016 11:53

TMI alert..

I'm really confused. For the last 16 months my periods are as follows: brown spotting 3-4 days before AF, horrible chronic cramping and general PMS the brown discharge leading to full, red heavy flow.

I've just been to the loo and when I wiped there was a tiny bit of red. Not only that, it had a extremely irony smell (I didn't sniff the tissue or anything, I'm not that weird, it's just something I noticed).

Now I'm probably clutching at straws here but could I have IB this late in the cycle?

HepKestrel · 20/12/2016 13:17

skipper LSFX for you, it could be IB or it could be bitch AF messing with you.

try to keep relaxed and sane. poas with a frer in the morning if that helps.

what cd are you ? when did you think you ov'd?

sk1pper · 20/12/2016 13:44

Think I ovulated on the 9th but I didn't use opks this cycle. Had my usual ov. pain on the day my apps were predicting ovulation though. And I'm on CD27. I tested Monday morning and it was negative so it's likely just AF, I was just hoping :(

Londonjam · 20/12/2016 13:48

Hurrah thanks kav hope all well with you

Fingers crossed tightly for penguin , Miranda and skipper

Hello gee glad you've rejoined us although sorry af got you. Take care of yourself and focus on enjoying Christmas. TTC can wait until new year!

Love your PMA hippy, sorry it wasn't your month. Let me know if you want a date for January

Thanks for the stats fxskip! Ooh yes we have hycosy theory for two members, hope its success continues

Skipper it depends when you ovulated and when it implanted, I think it could be IB. Really hope it is

HepKestrel · 20/12/2016 13:51

Skipper so you are neither in or out.

Timing wise implantation bleeding is most common on 9dpo (but can be anywhere between 7 and 11. 12 is not impossible).

it is still too early for a reliable poas.

LSFX for you. keep calm.

Londonjam · 20/12/2016 13:53

I'm day 12 today and have full on lurgy. It's been brewing for the last 4-5 days and now there's no denying it. I feel like shit. Head hurts tummy hurts I'm white as a sheet and light headed eurgh Confused just rubbish. Am wondering if this might delay ovulation.. I was poorly back on cycle 6 or 7 and that delayed it by a few days. Will continue with plan of DTD tomorrow anyway and see what the OPK s say!

HepKestrel · 20/12/2016 14:04

Flowers London hope you feel better soon and have a good christmas.

sk1pper · 20/12/2016 14:05

Thank you Hep - your wise and honest response has calmed me massively. Just got to hope AF doesn't show properly tonight/tomorrow.

Hippychic79 · 20/12/2016 15:27

London hope you feel better soonFlowersFlowersFlowers

I would very much like a date for January please. Af has arrived today on cd29 but that's really cycle day one ... so a 28 day cycle would make her next due date 16 Jan .... I hope she stays away as I'll be 38 a few days later eeeeeek xxxxxx
