LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:02

Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Don't worry too much Hels the month I conceived DH was too hungover to ahem "finish" one morning. I was really cross!!

Eva30 · 07/12/2016 20:00

Hey all, I went to GP, she said come back in March and in the meantime Relax AngryAngryAngry
I'm going to take a wee break from MN and throw the thermometer away and try my best with the whole 'relax' thing. Wishing you all the very best. I'm sure I'll be back, and hope to see none of you here as you'll all have got your BFPs!Smile xx

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 20:15

We'll miss you Eva! Really sending the best of luck your way - do pop back and let us know if you get good news or if you just want a moan. Xx

Seahawk80 · 07/12/2016 20:17

Good luck Eva will miss you too! Have a great Christmas, enjoy the wine and I hope you get a bfp in the new year Smile

bassetmum · 07/12/2016 20:24

Good luck eva. Have a good christmas and happy new year. Enjoy relaxing.

MouseLove · 07/12/2016 20:35

Eva I know it's not what you wanted to hear but I think your doc is right. Relax and enjoy the moment. Put down the sticks until af is missed. You're not doing yourself any favours. Take care of yourself!! X

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 20:36

flora and pjs no, I don't temp. That makes sense now - thank you - I wondered how you were all doing it. I don't think I'll bother to be honest - just knowing I've got a positive OPK is enough for me, I'll just keep guesstimating my DPO!

Hells it's tough, eh? I nearly had DH in tears last month when I cried because he couldn't 'finish' after he'd had a pint of margarita at a party we both went to on the day I was "peaking"! I apologised afterwards and we both agreed it was because I felt like I was making lots of sacrifices (no booze, less caffeine, POAS all the time, taking pregnancy vitamins that give me radioactive pee) and he doesn't have to give up anything. He genuinely hadn't realised the hoops I was jumping through! So I think that's why we did well this month - he now feels like he's got a job to do! Lots of hugging and telling him you know it's hard work and can be shit sometimes but that's the reality of having a baby and it's really not how it's advertised! Confused

Yay for smiley baguette! Heather's patented wiggle I reckon could be a winner!

Blissfulignorance · 07/12/2016 20:53

Good luck Eva we will all miss you.

Still in a bad mood, don't think I'm sleeping enough, had another nightmare last night. It's so strange, I had them lots when I was a child then all of a sudden this year I've had a few?! Not pleasant.

I think I'm in the 2ww but who knows.

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 20:55

bliss what was your nightmare (if not too personal!)? I love hearing other people's dreams. I dreamt last night that I had one of my coffee coasters (that I crocheted last year) inside my ear, and when I woke up it felt wooly for hours. Odd.

I'm sorry you're in a bad mood. Want a crap joke to cheer you up?

Eva30 · 07/12/2016 21:09

Thanks ladies, your email all so lovely! Here's some TTC memes to cheer up those who need it, including myselfGrin

Don't know where email came from, that should say you're all so lovely

LisaSimpsonsbff · 07/12/2016 21:11

Oh Eva I'll miss you - you're such a consistently kind, rational but optimistic voice! I hope taking it a bit easier goes well for you - you'll come back and tell us when you get your BFP, won't you?!

Eva30 · 07/12/2016 21:16

Aw thanks lisa of course, I'll keep popping in to keep up to date with all the BFPs we're due in here!

emwithme · 07/12/2016 21:24

Hi all, can I join in?

Age: 39 (40 in February how the fuck did that happen? Grin ) DH is 36
Cycle: 1 (Coil removed on 30/11)
Cycle Day: 12
AF due: 23/12

I've been actively working towards TTC for four years or so; I've lost 7 1/2 stone, I've gone from taking a boatload of medication (I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome - basically my collagen is borked and my joints are super floppy, amongst other issues) to taking nothing except vitamin supplements and now it's time to actually bite the bullet and do stuff! It's really scary though (In a good way), I worked out I've been actively avoiding pregnancy for 5/8 of my life, pretty much, so now to be actively going the other way is a bit strange!

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 21:55

I'll miss you as well Eva! Has been great having you as a TTC buddy - the relaxed approach really helped me for the month that I did it, no bfp, but felt much more sane at the end of it. I really hope you get your BFP soon Smile

So DH is out for beers - hope he's taking it easy as don't want sperm analysis to be affected! I on the other hand am sitting at home wanting a glass of wine and really missing my e-cig! TTC is boring. Fact.

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 22:15

And welcome emwithme! Sounds like it's taken a lot for you to get to this point - fx you get your BFP soon Smile

Blissfulignorance · 07/12/2016 22:16

Ahh Eva that made me chuckle thank you!
Kirsty they vary but mostly it ends with someone being violent towards me and me being unable to move or do an action to prevent it. It's like I'm mute or something. Horrible. Nothing much has changed for me recently so I don't know what the trigger is. Your dream sounds crap too I hate things in my ears.

Welcome Em

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 23:04

DH has only just left the pub and I'm irrationally annoyed! We're paying nearly £500 for tests tomorrow and they probably won't know whether they're examining sperm or a pint of Guinness. Great.

Am probably just annoyed because I feel like I'm missing out on fun stuff while he carries on doing what he wants. Bah. I want my e-cig. Bah.

Sorry girls, rant over!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 08/12/2016 00:10

Good luck with the tests PJS. Maybe Guinness is good for sperm?

Eva look forward to hearing about your BFP in the not too distant future Flowers

Mulberry2627 · 08/12/2016 06:25

Hi!
Age: 26
Cycle: 4 (or possibly 5, I came off the pill in August when we got married but literally stopped it mid cycle rather than see it out so not sure if that month is counted!)
AF due 22nd, around CD 15

Already getting fed up of TTC!!

HellsBellsK · 08/12/2016 09:23

Welcome to the mad house emwithme and Mulberry Smile

Ah Eva I will also miss you - don't be a stranger and pop back Flowers

Good luck today pj let us know how you get on and rant away!

I think thats it Kirsty I am watching what I eat, drink, taking vitamins, looking/touching CM like never before Shock .
Anyway had a chat and realised we are just so busy at the moment and so we will just go with the flow for the rest of the cycle. We are off for 2 weeks over Christmas during my next FW so we will have loads of free time to DTD.

In saying that I got my static smiley this morning woohoo. A lot of egg white CM also but with a bit of blood in it - no idea why. I have never got that before.

Amz26 · 08/12/2016 09:39

Hi all
Can I join?
I am 26 and TTC #1 :) I came off the pill after being on it for around a year. I've been really impatient and have already used the ovulation sticks to see whether I am ovulating, but I'm not! I've had a tiny amount of CM with blood in it but haven't had anything else yet! When I got my implant taken out last time I started my period a couple of days later so I'm wondering why it's taken this long for something to show up. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me and would like to get everyone's advice on what they think xx

Blissfulignorance · 08/12/2016 10:11

Grr pjs that would have made me irrationally angry too! I'm sure it won't affect today's results. Good luck with them all and let us know how you get on!

Hells could that be implantation bleeding? Or too early?

Welcome more newbies.
Amz I think it's all normal, I'm sure mouse will tell you about her post pill fiasco. Just be patient (easier said than done) it might take a few cycles for your body to settle down with your natural hormones.

I feel like time has stood still.

MouseLove · 08/12/2016 10:27

Hi Amz
Yep, 50 day cycle coming off the pill and then a 23 day one. I think your body will either settle straight away or take a little more time, try not to worry. It's totally normal not to ovulate straight away too. I didn't on that mammoth cycle. Only tested once too at CD36 but I kinda knew I wasn't preggers. Good luck, we'll take good care of you. What CD is today?

Amz26 · 08/12/2016 11:05

Thank mouse and bliss.. I think It was just wishful thinking I would ovulate straight away! I'm not going to do any more OPK until Af shows now. It's strange as its all I can think about ( I'm sure I'm not the only one) Mouse wow first month for you was a long one! I'm 9CD so really early days for me, I'm just impatient, can you tell 😄 Where are you in your cycle now? Xx
