Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

AF would've been due tomorrow. So around 13-14 dpo. I did an IC on Monday night, and I think I got a very, very faint line which was so faint I thought was an evap line or something.

This was the first month we used preseed properly (not only for lube purposes, but with the applicator and all). Also, other different thing I did is a bit gross (TMI alert). I sort of sucked the stuff in with my lady parts lol. Like a stomach crunch, but just enough to hear a loud slurp. And a hand stand afterwards. Not sure if that made any difference at all except for my DH getting somewhat worried, but this is the first time I did all that. After each dtd. Which we've been doing every other day since AF left.

The only symptom I had was bloating/constipation, which I never, ever have.

It's still early days so I am trying not to get overly excited, but even if it doesn't stick, we at least know there is nothing wrong and that it can happen. It feels surreal Smile

Oggy88 · 09/12/2016 08:49

That faint (probably imaginary) line was 8-9dpo.

bluebell17 · 09/12/2016 08:56

Congratulations Oggy!! That's brilliant news!!

Thanks everyone for your comments, I won't panic then that there is something wrong if this is normal! Thank you for your guidance.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 09/12/2016 09:00

Congratulations, oggy! So exciting! And a nice clear line, too!

Redpony1 · 09/12/2016 09:26

Congratulations Oggy!

Seahawk80 · 09/12/2016 19:13

Congrats Oggy!!

paperdove45 · 09/12/2016 19:32

Hi everyone, can I join?

Age: 29 (as of two weeks ago)
Cycle: 1 but I've been off the pill since April.
Cycle Day: 11
AF due: 2/1 probably. Have had everything from 23 days to 35 recently so who knows

Excited but a bit nervous going forward. It feels so weird dtd without trying to stop getting preggers!

Jellybabie3 · 09/12/2016 20:05

Congrats oggy! Btw whats a IC? Cant find it in the acronym list (sorry)

i'm still holding out with 5 days til test day. So far... AF ended 25th dtd 6 times til pred ov day of 1st dec and a few times after. Had bad cramping 2nd-4th like af was coming but she never materialised.... Hoping i atleast get af at a sensible time so if no bfp than i know i have regular ish cycles after coming off pill end of October.

Oggy88 · 09/12/2016 20:59

It's Internet Cheapie, Jelly. Super cheap eBay tests :)

Jellybabie3 · 09/12/2016 21:01

Oh! Blush

Piehunter · 09/12/2016 23:42

Woop oggy! congratulations!

I've not been keeping up, but Eva if you catch up at some point soon I wanted to say good luck, hope it happens really soon for you! 😊

pj's glad tests came back sounding pretty good!

I'm learning to self catheterise next week so will hopefully be able to get some more normality back after 3 weeks with tube and bag attached 24/7! Have an MRI scan this month that they'd have put off if I was pregnant so probably useful to have had an enforced month off. Lots of fun fun tests coming up after Christmas too to try and get to the bottom of all this pee-striking idiocy. We did actually dtd once this month in fw so ofc there's still a (teeny) tiny part of my brain that thinks there's a chance Wink

Pyjamas81 · 09/12/2016 23:59

Congratulations oggy! Love seeing BFPs here Grin

I've obviously been googling the shit out of low AMH and lots of scary stuff out there but I'm trying not to let it get to me. I always had in my head that there would be about three years between the two we want to have, so knowing we'd have to think about the second one sooner has added a bit more pressure (especially as I'm so career driven). I just have to remember to focus on getting over the first hurdle (having the first one) before worrying about anything else. Basically there was a whisper of a ticking clock before and now it's loud and clear!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 10/12/2016 00:07

Congratulations Oggy on your BFP and also on your strong lady muscles!
Lisa it's good in a way that you and DH share the disappointment, in terms of understanding how the other feels.

Kirsty can you try cleaning the bunnies again tomorrow? Alternative pregnancy testing method for the farmers or animal lovers!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 10/12/2016 00:09

PJS if you have 2 close together you might find you can overall get your career back on track sooner... but as you say get number 1 under your belt first.

Pyjamas81 · 10/12/2016 00:33

That's a very good point Jen - and also who knows how I'll feel when the time comes. I don't have kids at the moment, so the most important thang to me right now is my career - my perspective may change later! Or it may not, but no point worrying about something that hasn't even happened Smile

LisaSimpsonsbff · 10/12/2016 10:13

I think you're right that you need not to try worrying and planning five steps ahead, pjs - but it's hard, isn't it?! An ex of mine used to say: 'other people try to cross bridges before they come to them. You seem determined to fall off bridges before you come to them!'.

Oh, and hope you're feeling a bit better, piehunter - you've had such a tough time of it recently.

age 30
cycle 1
cd 19
af due 23/12
think i ovd early so think im 4/5dpo
body and mind playing havoc with me. 2nd guessing every pain, twinge..
does it get easier as the cycles go by or do ppl become more obsessive? its all i think about and its only the first month aaargh

bluebell17 · 10/12/2016 11:26

Morning all. I keep reading the latest posts and looking forward to some more BFPs soon, sounds like lots will be testing in the next week or so.
My slight bleed has turned in to definite AF. So that's a 34 day cycle with an 11 day period, and then a 16 day cycle for me so far since coming off the pill. So I've only had 5 days without AF in the last 3 or so weeks.
Fingers crossed this one isn't an 11 day cycle again!!! Hoping to start to regulate soon so I have some chance of working out when I might be ovulating. Was trying to resist doing OPKs but might end up buying some soon! Which are recommended?
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Smile

Pyjamas81 · 10/12/2016 11:38

Welcome Walsh! I was totally obsessed in my first month and totally convinced myself I was pregnant Blush I've since learned that all symptoms can be either AF or pg so really impossible to tell so I try not to worry about it. 6 months later, I am still thinking about it all the time, but have got to a place where AF is not a surprise anymore - disappointing, but not surprise! Everyone deals with it differently though Smile

I use the Clearblue dual hormone test with internet cheapies in case I miss a surge in the afternoon bluebell. I've found them really helpful with figuring out what's what, although I needed a break for a month!

6dpo here and no symptoms - my temp shot yo yesterday and stayed high today, but think that's down to a bit of Xmas boozing!

walsh86 · 10/12/2016 12:40

thanks pjs- when is ur af due?
ive had cramping for the last 2 months and am booked in for an ultrasound on 15th as worried somethings wrong, I am fairly regular and dont get period pains, recently lost both my parents to cancer so anxious to get tested as in constant pain.
they never taught u any of this in school did they Hmm

Pyjamas81 · 10/12/2016 14:25

AF due on the 19th Dec Walsh and won't be testing until day after - this way works for me so I don't see BFNs and I haven't had to waste any tests for a while!

I'm in a dilemma though - I'm heading abroad for Christmas with family next week and DH joining me a week later and gets there on the 20th. If AF hasn't arrived and I'll be a day late by then, it'll be nearly impossible not to test, but he won't be there in the morning! And if I do test, it will be nearly impossible not to tell my mum first if it's a BFP!

Pyjamas81 · 10/12/2016 14:26

Ps Walsh - really hope you get some peace of mind soon. Yes, none of this is covered in school!

walsh86 · 10/12/2016 15:52

yeah its tough to wait if u do get a bfp- and i guess you want to tell him face 2 face! depends how much you want him there and how mych you can wait.. i think id just have to test..then i can either enjoy the news or enjoy a Wine

ive gone back to bed feel tired, sick (but know im not going to be) hope its not all in my head.. im never ill
