Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am so shell-shocked that I've done a digital to be sure. I also thought maybe last months weird af may not have been affected, but this confirms that I ovulate when I thought I did.

I have been reading these threads and scouring for symptoms for weeks. My only conclusion is that every symptom is something or nothing. This month my only symptoms were identical to prevent AF symptoms!

And to oggy88 lol at your tmi... every little thing that helps hey! I remember the deed that seemed to do the trick for me this month because I joked with dh at the time... involved deep penetration and him wiggling it around up there afterwards for good measure... sorrrryyyy tmi!

Congratulations heather

Charactarantula · 06/12/2016 19:02

Congratulations Heather.

No indication of AF yet, only 3 days until I can tests. Feeling very low today and really just CBA with everything at the moment.

JoanneF26 · 06/12/2016 19:33

Hi all

I am also new around here and thought now was as good as time of ever to join a thread! About me;

Age - 30
Cycle - 1
CD15 (days without pill)
TTC - 1

I took my last pill the 21st November, I am yet to have a withdrawal bleed, suffering from what I believe are typical withdrawal symptoms, bloating, tender breasts, cramps and tiredness!

I ordered some cheep opk's from Amazon and have been testing for the past week - got what I think is a near positive today? Would welcome any thoughts on this! We have DTD Wednesday, Sunday and today.

I have been on the pill since I was 15 due to extremely heavy & painful periods, cerelle being the most recent which put a stop to all but 1/2 periods a year which were very light and pain free. As I've got older and researched endometriosis - I tick nearly every box so i am under no illusions that this is going to be easy!

We got married in June and honeymooned in a Zika county hence why we have waited just that little bit longer.........we did say we'd see how things go but I seem to have become addicted to POAS! (Hubby doesn't know about the opk's Hmm)

Looking forward to keeping up to date with everybody on here Smile

Congratulations heather Flowers

I lol'd at your comment blissful , I've been in a foul mood all day, then collapsed in a flood of tears, then grumpy again and made DH go out for chinese after having pizza for lunch Blush who knows what the heck is going on!

MouseLove · 06/12/2016 22:59

Welcome Joanne! Coming off cerelle was a nightmare for me. First cycle was 50 days long!! And I think my body tried to ovulate twice that cycle (and I'm pretty sure I failed lol) but if you're ready for it, relaxed about the first few cycles and understand it might not be plain sailing you'll be fine!! Of course it could be the complete opposite and you'll be regular coming off the pill. I was on it (microgynon then cerelle) for 13 years total.

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 08:12

Hurrah - FF has now picked up ovulation and am 3dpo! That means I ov'd on CD14 - when I suspected I had. Got a 'high' reading on timing tracker so at least I know we did everything we could. And now the wait begins...

Fertility clinic appointment tomorrow for me and DH - gah!

Oggy88 · 07/12/2016 08:14

Haha, Heather, your hubby's wiggling is adorable Grin

Mine is a big(ish) guy with a belly, so he is worried the belly is preventing him from "planting it right" Grin Sometimes I wonder if they too have something like dadsnet where they discuss...don't know...swimmers and tools? Hmm

Af due this Saturday, but I'm feeling it's coming. Pretty sure I'm out. Boobs were sore but not anymore, having some mild cramping, bfn this morning. Guessing slurping the goods all the way to ovaries didn't help. At least I won't have to explain why I'm not drinking at Xmas dinners...

Seahawk80 · 07/12/2016 08:35

Congrats Heather so glad it was a real positive this time!

Thanks for the advice re announcements. I think I'll just wait until a bit after Christmas. eva I forgot to say when you asked how my best friend took it, she was great but I think she's most envious of the fact we've been told not to DTD until after 12 weeks due to bleeding, there were times during TTC that I would have thought that sounded like heaven!!

Good luck with the tests PJs - when we had ours DH was so proud he "passed" I honestly thought he wanted to frame his sperm analysis!

Eva30 · 07/12/2016 08:36

pjs great news, fx. What is your next clinic appointment for? Is this the private one? Is it expensive? I have my GP app tonight - what tests should I ask for (if they don't instigate them)? The blood test to check hormones, sperm analysis and internal scan?

Eva30 · 07/12/2016 08:38

Oh and I did a test this morning, early at 9dpo but with GP app and all. BFN, obviouslyXmas Hmm

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 09:01

Ha ha seahawk - yes, DH is approaching the test in the same way!

Yes Eva - these are the private tests. My GP said I couldn't get AMH test done on NHS so told me to get it done privately and come back. I'd rather just get everything done in one place and avoid faff where possible, so we're doing everything at Lister Clinic. AMH test cost £65 and tests for me and DH tomorrow including consultation and talking through results straight afterwards will be around £500. That's for sperm analysis for DH and pelvic ultrasound scan for me. Hope your GP appointment is better this time!

So glad we get results at the appointment - no damn waiting!

bassetmum · 07/12/2016 09:24

Fx that tomorrow goes well for you pjs.

Eva good luck too.

My oh last night was like "what got you so horny today" i couldn't exactly say it was because I poa opk stick haha!! My oh is on the bigger size too but I don't think that thought has ever crossed my mind. I am doing the lying still for ten minutes after though, not quite at elevating my hips yet haha. It sounds nuts but I also lay on my left side as when I've found my cp its more towards the left haha!!

Oggy i doubt chatting the process over even crosses their minds although the idea of a forum of guys talking about swimmers etc would be funny.

Welcome to the newbies to this crazy journey.

MrsG280516 · 07/12/2016 10:34

Congrats Heather Star Star I remember you! Come and hope on over to the August babies antenatal thread Grin

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 10:47

Hi everyone! That's me back from my weekend away and just catching up... So loads of this is old news but thought it was worth saying!

Lisa I'm so sorry for AF, rubbish news. Have you been enjoying the wine this week as a crap consolation prize? Good work on setting up a new thread, thanks.

pjs Yay for your ovulation! Good luck for the AMS tomorrow.

warwick I'm sorry you were feeling so low last week followed by a bumbling idiot at the christening (sorry, she's probably lovely really, but that conversation should just never have taken place). How are you doing today? You are absolutely not a failure.

Eva how are you getting on with your warm feet? You've made me rethink my sock choices now, my feet are always like blocks of ice! You've also unwittingly answered a question I've not asked yet about creamy CM; I had some over the weekend and was wondering when I was "supposed" to get it - right after my FW is spot-on. Thanks!

bliss I'm in the same boat! 8 days in a row for me (I felt like I was walking like John Wayne by the time FW was over) and I really do feel like if I'm not up-duffed this month it will be extremely unfair! DH was a trooper. Well done to you guys too!

heather massive congrats!!

Hello to any/all newbies I've missed! Smile

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 10:49

Oh and for me:

Age: nearly 28 (OH 32)
TTC#1
Cycle 3
CD 18
5-6 DPO???

Daft question - when I get my "peak" OPK result, do you ladies take that as the day you ovulated? I never know how many DPO I am as I'm never actually sure when you count it from?

I'm feeling super positive this month - DH and I DTD loads in FW and only missed one possible fertile day (48 hours after my "peak" ov, when I'd already left for my weekend away). I have no symptoms but I know I will be devastated this month if it's not our turn because of the effort we put in.

Ovia says I can test in 7 days at the earliest. I bought a 4-pack of FRER while back in the UK and hoping I won't need more than one. I also bought some cheapy OPKs for next month though, in case we're not lucky.

Mad that you only get a 20% chance each month, isn't it? As someone upthread said: it's a miracle we're all here at all!

Ok, that's me done with my essays now Blush

florafoxtrot · 07/12/2016 11:21

Congratulations Heather! That's a lovely strong positive!

Kirsty - I've never used OPKs but believe that the only way to "confirm" ovulation is through temping.

CD28 here, loads of cramping but my temperature hasn't quite dropped off from my coverline yet - 100% think she'll arrive on Friday and just wish that the time would pass more quickly!
xx

Pyjamas81 · 07/12/2016 11:24

Do you temp Kirsty? I only know whether I've ovulated through temping - sometimes I've ovulated the same day as positive opk results, sometimes a day or two after. Opks only tell you that you're close to ovulating, so it can be hard figuring out when/if you actually have!

Sounds like you've done everything you can! Fx for you Xmas Grin

HellsBellsK · 07/12/2016 12:24

Morning Ladies,

DTD didn't go to plan last night, DH got home late by the time he had his dinner, got everything ready for the next day it was late - I thought he just wasn't bothered ... I then got annoyed with DH cried and went to bed Blush .
So I think I'm probably out this month. Still getting dark enough lines on the IC opks but CB is still flashing away. So far this cycle we have only DTD twice. First day of flashing smiley on Friday then Sunday. Hopefully we can get it done tonight.
Just feel he has it in his head that January is the month that we will really start trying as that was the original plan.
Sorry Rant over!

Welcome Joanne - your opk looks like mine at the moment. I would say your near ovulation (well that what I'm telling myself Smile )

FX for you tomorrow pj hope it goes well.

Welcome back Kirsty hope you had a lovely trip.
I'm jealous of all your DTD Grin . Think I would need to go away for a week to get DH to do that. I have everything crossed for you this month!

bassetmum · 07/12/2016 12:38

Hi hells if it helps me and my oh have only dtd twice this month. Once can be enough is what I'm telling myself lol. He's pulled his back out again so it's been tricky. Im hoping we can make it three days on the trot so last night tonight and tomorrow as im away Friday and Saturday nights.

HellsBellsK · 07/12/2016 12:51

Thanks besset thats what I'm telling myself.
Just hope I haven't missed the window. Going to try tonight and then again tomorrow. Im also away Friday.
I also haven't been well - hight temps - so excused etc so he is telling me I need to relax and get better but I just want to DTD even though I'm not in the mood.
But you are right - It only takes one go!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 07/12/2016 14:27

Got static smiley this morning.
DTD last night and DH used Heather's DH's wiggle. Hope it's not patented!

bassetmum · 07/12/2016 17:30

I think yesterday was my peak day. This doesnt seem quite as strong. I dont think?

I would say im probably ovulating today by the pains i have been having. I can't temp though as i wake up too many times in the night atm.

MouseLove · 07/12/2016 18:06

Hells sounds like you're putting too much pressure on yourself and DH. Have you tried not tracking anything and just going with the flow every other day? Might make it happen for you. X
