Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Aww kirsty don't feel uncomfortable, you are always more than welcome. It's nice to hear from 'the others side' haha Smile how wonderful with baby kicking and waving. Thanks for sharing the journey and wishing you all the very best.

Thanks flora and basset I hope so. Thanks for new thread too.

flora we all need to be moaning Minnie's every now and again to keep up safe. I saw the pic on my fat club board today but thought how apt it was to me right now. Everything will happen at the right time for us and our ruler. Keep your chin up Smile and very happy birthday Cake

Good luck kirsty. Fx for a happy and healthy rest of pregnancy and that your anxiety doesn't get too much.

Flora i get the disappointment. Happy birthday though and enjoy your evening.

Eva from what I know about charts (ie not alot) that looks good.

I will set up the new thread now and post the link as we are at 996 posts now. I still don't think I am pg this month. Just got to wait and see now

Baby bomb alert - I always feel a little uncomfortable posting here but wanted to keep you in the loop!

Hi girls. Popping here to say hi and bye - had my 12-week scan today and all was well. Baby was kicking and waving which was lovely to see. We feel safer now (although my anxiety will probably not allow me to relax until he/she is here, and even then I imagine it will just morph to anxiety about my born baby!) and are actually allowing ourselves to be excited.
I'm probably going to retire from MN for now, work is crazy and time is too short! Before I go I just wanted to wish you all the bestest of luck and to say thank you for being so very supportive and informative when I was on this thread Smile It really helped to chat things through with you all, and I know it won't be so long before you're all battling with morning sickness and strange cravings.
Extra special (non-mumsnetty) hugs to Lisa, Eva, Baguette, PJs, Basset, Bliss and the inevitable ones I've missed (sorry) from when I was most active here; although the rest of you lovely lot of course get one too!

Baby dust x

Sorry that AF got you PJs, Bliss, Kaydee.
I'm on CD25 but going for "CD21 blood test" as it's supposed to be done 7 days after ovulation. Tests are being repeated as my results weren't great a few months ago (but not awful apart from low AMH of 4).

Managed to DTD every day last weekend after my static smiley but the rest of the week has been low key!

After blood test results today will take it from there. DH is very keen to start IVF soon, I think that might be the way to go but trying to explain to him that it's not a magic fix.

I am planning on one (large) glass of wine tonight, lots of chocolate and lunch our tomorrow. Hope you all relax and fingers crossed for anyone testing.

That chart looks pretty good Eva! Mine never keep going up like that! They always just flatten out just above coverline and then nose dive before AF!
So today is my birthday. The whole week I have been feeling totally rubbish about not being pregnant and getting older etc. and I’ve really not had the usual surge of positivity that I normally get post AF and pre-fertile week so no idea what is going on with me. Think it’s a similar one to Xmas in that I’d hoped to be pregnant before then – NO and then I thought maybe before my birthday and again – NO. I’m feeling slightly better today and am enjoying the fact that my colleagues are being nicer than usual but I still seem to have this really strong sadness going on and I really just need to snap out of it and enjoy life for what it is and not keep focus on what I don’t have!
I’m sorry to be the moaning Minnie again and sure even you guys will get sick of me soon – damn sure my husband is - but I’m just really struggling to get my head out of my backside this month.
I'm going out with my pals tonight so hoping that takes my mind off things.

Arhh I'm so sorry pjs kaydee and blissful WineCakeFlowers

I'm cd27 and 8-10dpo. I had a weird day yesterday when I had ewcm at 8am and right sided pulling feeling. I was worried I was ov late but have ran out of opks. But my temps are up so I must have already right? I swore I would stop temping after ov but didn't Blush Now waiting for the slump in temps....

Sorry kaydee that af has arrived.

Has anybody got any tips on how to stretch out below your shoulder blades? I think holding my 4 month old nephew when babysitting this week has hurt it? Bad posture i think. Ironic really lol

Oh pants kaydee Sad** I always count the day it appears as CD1, whatever time it appears.

I honk you maybe right hippy - it feels like way too much and we both hate dtd every day! But then like kaydee I worry that we'll miss the best day to dtd if I don't opk Confused The only way we won't fall into the trap of every day dtd is if I don't opk or temp. Aaaaaaarrrrrgggghhh

Just met DH for lunch - he's on board with this plan (and slightly relieved). He did talk me into cancelling the gin festival plans next weekend as he wants to be as healthy as possible this month for ttc. A pain in the bum as I was looking forward to it - but probably best not to go on a big gin bender.

AF has appeared!!! If it appears at 2.30pm, is today CD1, or tomorrow??

thanks Pyjamas :) yeah I'm trying hard to wait and its not proving too bad... beyond seeing the snowey white bfn i get annoyed with the cost of it all and the fact that i then start googling the chances of the test being wrong!

I've read that dtd every day is too much, every other is recommended... apparently sperm need time to refresh.... could be true maybe if you've been dtd every day with no joy....

I wish my OH could dtd every day :)

Zoh - you're only 24 so time is well on your side :) I would stick with OPK's and time dtd round that if i were you. GL

I've tried OPK for about two cycles and it's shown me fertile days about a week after period finishes, and so I haven't done it every month as I'm working on that same assumption. So we have times dtd around it, and it's been every other day, so not "too much" either. My OH is really chilled about it, but I'm just worried something is wrong :/

Report
Kaydee2017 · 09/02/2017 13:08

I know what you mean pyjamas it's so tough to know what to do for the best! Every day seems like the best plan but physically it's knackering, so I do wonder whether that has an effect! But the every other day makes me think but what if we miss a day & that's the optimal day foot conception!! It's a mine field!!

Hi zohz, welcome! Are you doing anything to track your cycle? Like knowing when you ovulate & timing DTD around that?

Report
blanketfort · 09/02/2017 13:07

That sounds like a good plan pjs. I'm fed up of getting annoyed at poor DH if he's taking too long doing dishes etc and we need to dtd etc. I might take a leaf out of your book and try similar. I get too preoccupied with opks and a bit obsessed 🙄

I think I'm going to try a more laid back approach this month. They always say when you stop trying so hard, you get pregnant bunch of bullshit

Hi, completely new here.
Both me and hubby are 24, got married 11 months back. No contraception whatever, and yet no pregnancy :/ we are both healthy, don't smoke and drink, no known problems. My cycles are like clockwork too. Is this normal? Could something be wrong? I'm just confused as I have no obvious symptoms like you would for PCOS for example?

Report
Pyjamas81 · 09/02/2017 12:29

Ah hippy - this really is the most difficult part of each cycle! I hope you get answers (and a BFP) soon. I would wait until CD29 or the day after if I were you, not seeing a BFN is the only thing I'm thankful for this cycle so I'm glad I waited!

I'm thinking about not doing opks or temping this cycle and committing to dtd every three days in run up to FW, every other day in FW, then every three days again. Not convinced dtd four days in a row does does us any favours at all! But, I'm also a control freak... But, I seriously hate FW because of all the forced dtd... GAH. Not temping in TWW definitely helped until spotting freaked me out at the last minute.

thank you Kaydee & Blanket ... I freaking hope so too... I so anxious its unbelievable... just wondering when to test... my cycles vary from 26-29 days, from July onwards its been - 26, 28, 27, 29, 29, 28, 26.... I guess it would be best to hold out till sunday (CD29) or even monday

Kitty - I have acupuncture and would definitely recommend telling them to work on your fertility points - I don't think you necessarily need a fertility specialist but if you don't want to tell the person you know then maybe find an acupuncture person you don't know - good luck xxx
