LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:02

Yet again we've managed to exchange nearly 1000 posts swapping our tales of peeing on sticks, dancing for babies, trying to stop Auntie Flo's all too frequent visits, and sometimes, just sometimes, of Big Fat Positives! So let's begin thread five with some updated stats. Me first...

Age 29
Cycle #4
Cycle day 1

Ahhh, I completely know where you're coming from Lisa. Good luck and please let us know when you get your BFP, and maybe we will meet again on the grads boardSmile Xx

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 16:48

Totally get it lisa - best of luck with everything and would love to know when you get your BFP! Xx

blanketfort · 04/02/2017 16:53

Good luck Lisa Flowers

Hope you get your bfp soon! xx

DancingUnicorn · 04/02/2017 17:05

Good luck Lisa. Hoping for a less stressful stretch of the journey for you from here and a bfp in the near future! 💐

bassetmum · 04/02/2017 17:13

Good luck lisa. The most important thing any of us can do it look after our physical and mental health. The baby was soo cute today bless him

Blissfulignorance · 04/02/2017 17:55

Good luck Lisa I know how you feel and that's why I've been quiet recently too. 💐💐

I'm hanging around because I'm desperate to know if the HGS thing worked for pjs!

Sorry the for baby bombs and AFs

Good luck to all those testing soon

LisaSimpsonsbff · 04/02/2017 19:32

Thank you for all the lovely messages! You really are such nice, supportive people - if only babies were given out on merit! I'm sure I won't be able to resist the odd lurk - and I will be crossing my fingers that when I do I will be seeing you all getting your BFPs.

Good luck Lisa I've found myself needing more time away from the ttc threads also the longer we try.. Hope you get your bfp soon Smile

florafoxtrot · 04/02/2017 23:47

Aw Lisa. I really hope you're ok and get your BFP soon. Sometimes the boards can be too much - sometimes they are a lifesaver if you need a proper rant! We will be here for whatever you need if and when.

florafoxtrot · 05/02/2017 12:57

As expected AF arrived this morning. Had my usual breakdown and proclaimed myself a total failure in life but feeling a bit better now. Good luck to the rest of the ladies in the TWW hell.

Pyjamas81 · 05/02/2017 13:08

Oh no Flora 🙁 I think having a bit of a meltdown is healthy - better out than in. Take care are yourself today - are you doing anything nice?

Kaydee2017 · 06/02/2017 07:03

Sorry for AF flora Flowers

I was babybombed on Facebook last night - first one since we actively started trying, so lucky to have got this far I think, and you never know what other people might have gone through, so whilst I'm not devastated, it's still affected me I think! Odd given we are only about to go into cycle 3! This TTC business messes with you so much!

KittyKat73 · 06/02/2017 13:00

Good luck Lisa hope everything goes well for you. I never really appreciated how much this can affect someone mentally until I started going through it all myself.

CD 67 Sad I decided to cave and make an appointment with my GP to find out whats happening. I was going through stages recently were it honestly didn't bother me and i was just bobbing along waiting for AF to appear so we can start TTC. but its approaching 3 months so something is definitely not right. Dont know if im just reading too much into it but i have a feeling it might be PCOS.

My appointment is on 24th haven't told my partner as i don't want to worry him. I would rather find out whats going on for myself first. But stopped the pill in June had erratic cycles ever since and last AF appearance was 1st December so something isn't right and no point waiting any longer to find out what.

A bit devastated as i honestly thought i would be one of those people who got pregnant instantly as it has happened to quite a few of my friends ( who are going to pop soon in the next few months).

got my FX for all you lovely ladies. booked myself a wee massage for next week too as a wee treat to myself

Eva30 · 06/02/2017 13:33

So sorry flora
After a few too many drinks on a Saturday night I also had a massive breakdown, in fact I'd go so far as to say went completely insane. I'm very embarrassed by the whole thing. I really feel like I'm losing the plot.

kittykat you're doing the right thing going to GP to get some answers, whatever it is they will be able to help. you sound very composed about the whole thing, it's sounds like torture waiting for AF to arrive.

I'm cd23, about 4-5 dpo and I already know that it hasn't worked again this month, I just know.

pjs how many dpo are you now? When is af due?

Kaydee2017 · 06/02/2017 13:40

Kitty glad you've got a docs appt sorted - hopefully they can start some tests & get you some answers! And hopefully AF will appear before your appt according to Sod's law! Grin

Flowers for you too Eva, but I'm sure you're not losing the plot! Everyone needs a little vent every now & again, this TTC isn't often kind either mentally or physically. Fx for you though, and you're not out until the witch appears!

bassetmum · 06/02/2017 14:11

So sorry flora. Have some chocolate and wine.

Kitty sounds like the right thing to do.

Im not convinced Ive been successful this month. Although i have had very mild cramps since the last positive opk last tuesday

KittyKat73 · 06/02/2017 15:52

Thanks ladies!

also wee correction my appointment is the 16th not 24th no idea why i typed that.

Eva im definitely composed on the outside but inside im throwing a fit haha. My partner lost his dad in November due to a very quick life limiting illness so i know the main reason why im keeping it all to myself and being very calm is because im protecting him and don't want him to have anymore stress or grief.

Kaydee im hoping booking the appointment will get it to make an appearance haha!

Just hope the GP doesn't fob me off with " just wait a few months" or something. It took a lot to build the courage to accept there's an issue and make the appointment so if they do something like that ill refuse to leave!

Pyjamas81 · 06/02/2017 16:14

Hi eva - 11dpo here and still no symptoms. AF due Thurs or Friday - testing on Saturday if still no show. Don't worry, I've had one of those nights where I've drunk too much and totally lost my shit. I was like an exploding pressure cooker!

Don't know why but am just not feeling it this month - I of course don't know what 'feeling it' would feel like!

florafoxtrot · 06/02/2017 16:38

Hope you’re OK Eva. I do the same, a huge very angry meltdown about how my life is so shit and unfair compared to others which subsequently leads to a lot of tears about the actual issue – being that I’ve not yet gotten pregnant.

It’s so difficult when you’re in the moment because you know all the statistics about how long it can take and most of the time you are totally rational and keeping these emotions in check because you’ve not got any other choice than to do so in order that you can act like a functioning human – but then it hits and it’s like a bloody tornedo. As PJs said to me – its better out than in and you do usually feel better after having that meltdown – and probably preferable to carrying it around all the time and crying in the loos at work all day every day. So don’t feel embarrassed about it – you’re not the only one and I’d probably go so far as to say its normal!

Hope the Docs have some answers for you Kitty. But if you don’t get anywhere would you consider doing something like reflexology or acupuncture? Have heard wonders about both for regulating cycles.

Fx for you PJs. Really hope that this is your time.

blanketfort · 06/02/2017 20:06

Going to the doctors is definitely a good idea kitty, especially refusing to remove until you get given a decent plan of action!!

Fx for you Eva & Basset! It's not over until the fat lady sings (or flows in the case)

I echo what Flora said pjs really hope you get your BFP

Kaydee these baby bombs seem to be happening more! Happened again to me yesterday with another 3! My friend had her baby last night though and he is absolutely gorgeous and the sweetest little thing, and I shockingly felt no jealousy at all and just being completely and utterly smitten and so happy for my friend!

Eva30 · 06/02/2017 20:47

Thanks ladies, you made me feel less like a psycho! I think it had been simmering in me for a while and then the alcohol made me a wreck and yelling at poor DH. I feel terrible about the whole thing but he's been telling me to just forget about it.
Like you say flora it's just because we can never switch off from TTC. Every day I'm focusing on where I am in my cycle, what do I need to do to improve my chances, how many times can we dtd this week, where is my EWCM... seriously, I never thought it would have this much of an impact on me.
I'm on countdown to a much needed holiday in 6 weeks.

Aw blanket that sounds amazing. My SIL had her baby last week and it melted my heart seeing himGrin

kitty haha I go with the blanket plan and stage a protest if they don't do anything!

pjs I'm like that!! I keep thinking I'd know when it had been successful, how ridiculous is that. Fx AF doesn't show!

Fx basset

Pyjamas81 · 06/02/2017 20:50

Aw, thanks guys - really lovely feeling like you're all rooting for me ☺️ All set for Knicker Watch to begin soon! Felt a slight 'heavy' feeling today, but nothing to write home about.

Really hope you get answers from the gp kitty
*
Basset and Eva* - when are you testing/AF due?

bassetmum · 06/02/2017 21:23

Pjs i am due af on the 13th but I think I ovulated later this month so who knows. Not going to test till the weekend of next week if it doesn't arrive. I think I'm out though as I have the chin spots and my boobs are sore/huge already.

Kaydee2017 · 06/02/2017 21:43

Massive fx for you pyjamas, basset & Eva! We are due some BFPs Grin

To be honest I think I class babybombs as from people I don't know that well, as, like you say blanket, close friends & family you are just genuinely happy for! Though still can't shake the thought of when will it be me??!!

Pyjamas81 · 06/02/2017 22:29

And I've got very very slight spotting 😞 AF is on her way
