Thought I'd start the December bus, who's on the naughty list this year?

Congrats MrsG that gives me some hope, I did a frer yesterday like a loser on 9dpo and was gutted to see the whitest screen 😒 Had given up hope especially as no symptoms. I'll be a good girl now and wait until Saturday to test.

Do you all work out how many dpo you are from opks? I have absolutely no clue they got darker but ever caught a properly positive one so no idea i know that ovias fertile week estimation can't have been far off as that week is when I had my darkest opks and because of CM etc but in reality can't pin down an exact date

Hence why I was thinking of maybe trying BBT next month but idk... got to see if this month is definitely a BFN yet today was too early really (clings onto hope)

OPKs can vary as you might be catching the tail end or very early bit of LH surge. I use Fertility Friend app and it always gives ovulation date the day after LH surge which might be not so accurate (this month, I had a scan on Sat morning and the consultant said I was about to ovulate, but got +ve opk on the Sunday and then app said ovulation Monday - so I'm sure it's out). So I take the 'dpo' on the app with a pinch of salt.

I use the smiley face CB opks, used to use the dual hormone ones when I first came off pill but they are so expensive and you need to start early to get baseline hormone levels so you use loads! Changed to the basic smiley ones as cheaper and they seem to give the same results at the moment.

Tinkerbell working out when you ovulate is easier if you temp, OPKs can tell you when your LH surge is but then you can ovulate a day or two after that. With temping (BBT) your temperature usually increases the day after ovulation and stays higher than before so you can pinpoint it. Fertility Friend also analyses the data (OPKs, CM and temp) to tell you when you've ovulated and marks it on your chart.

OK this is a gross question but: how can you tell what's CM and what's, er, swimmers' fluid?! both are happening around the same time!

Blackcherries I find CF stretches whereas the other is sticky but not stretchy.

DH got me a couple of packs of FRER today. Was going to post they're BOGOF but not had time. Might poas again tomorrow as AF due between Saturday and Monday. There had better be something in that little window!

Guess what I bought on the way home?! Two double packs of FRER and I'll be getting more tomorrow

ha ha I just looked up boots to see if the offer is one here... it is so will go out and get some tomorrow

tinkerbell I have no real idea when I ovulated as I was away so no temping or OPK or any particularly suspicious cm or symptoms so I'm assuming it was day 14 as I had a 28 day cycle last month, but might not have ovulated (feeling this is likely given the lack of symptoms and the bfn yesterday 😞)

Thanks for the FRER tip, I'm on annual leave at the end of next week so no doubt I'll fill my days by POAS so I'll make sure I'm prepared.

Weird symptom spotting here. Had lunch provided on a course and came away feeling ridiculously nauseous and indigestion-y. I almost vommed on the way home and have the feeling of trapped wind. I got into a yoga pose to help, errrr, relieve it and as I sat up, I briefly blacked out. Very unlike me but there is a really nasty sickness bug going round so it could well be that. I just want to know! AF due Friday and I have an 11 day luteal phase and I'm on 10dpo so I guess I'll know one way or the other soon enough.

that doesn't sound like a nice experience power but possibly promising?!

I'm still crampy but only 3dpo and I am waiting hopefully for the 'implantation sickness' I had last time. Who would think I would wish for nausea?!

Bfn today... not due AF until 8th Dec though. According to OPK I ovulated 11 days ago (so really early!)

ohbollocks if you ovulated 11 days ago then you're probably due AF around 4th December if you have a 14 day LP.

BFN this morning and feeling the witches cramps but I guess it's not over just yet, a few more days just wish I knew when I'd ovulated.

Do you need a special thermometer to track BBT? I might give that a go next month

Just search BBT thermometer on Amazon or eBay binky they're about a fiver. Just needs to have two decimal places.

Sorry for BFN Binky - I'm same no AF but another BFN today , CD37. Think I might try a BBT next month too.

Flamingo I'm only CD25 so still a few days until I'm due but it's so crushing I don't know why we do it to ourselves.

I'd got a little carried away sketching out Christmas card ideas for my family with 3 penguins and an egg with a ribbon saying Hatching 2017. I guess it should be a lesson in patience!
