10DPO today - few familiar AF twinges. Am also avoiding POAS by going to the loo asap in the morning so I don't have the temptation! If no sign by Sat...I'll test again...

DH was saying "don't worry, we're not trying properly yet" Haha...little does he know, I've been keeping my OPK obsession to myself!!

Writerwannabe83 · 30/11/2016 08:30

After 24 hours of positive OPKs the one I did yesterday was negative so I'm assuming ovulation is on the cards. We have only DTD once as we planned on doing it last night but I was so exhausted when I got home from work (9.30pm) that I just didn't have the energy.

I've got a day off today though so hopefully I will have recuperated enough to DTD and hope that I'm one of the ones who ovulate 36 hours after my surge so I may still have a chance to catch the egg.

DrRBannerx · 30/11/2016 09:01

Still getting negative tests, so negative it's unbelievable. Af due Saturday and not a hint of anything on tests. Still no AF symptoms or anything else for that matter!

Carlotta82248 · 30/11/2016 09:02

StephyJane same with oviva, I feel like I've missed my best shot as my opk was positive on the day that it said my fertile week was starting! Only dtd on Saturday and twice yesterday ( never happens but I was determined after the pos opk) I feel like Sat will def have been too early though, what do you ladies think? Still worth it tonight? (Said with the sex enthusiasm of someone ttc haha) x

MrsCummings · 30/11/2016 09:08

Carlotta82248 Ovia did that to me this month, so next window I plan to start testing 4 days before my Ovia window, and get DTDing with the first faint line until it either goes away or DH dies of exhaustion.

Stephy my sexiest line last month was "hurry up, we need to fit in a quicky before dinner burns" Shock

Carlotta82248 · 30/11/2016 09:13

MrsCummings if you were me would you carry on? Opk faint this morning but still a line there, I'd feel much better if we'd got to it as planned Monday, stupid Chinese takeaway making us too full! Oh well, you live and learn! It's crazy how people ever get pregnant 'accidentally' when I'm on a military operation and still not getting a bfpConfused

blackcherries · 30/11/2016 09:18

Lots of people seem to temp but I find it really disruptive as I wake at different times and need my sleep. My ovulating seems fairly regular according to OPKs so not sure what more it would add as we dtd all over 'fertile' time and keep going till a few days after the surge.

Writerwannabe83 · 30/11/2016 09:23

I'm so torn as to what to do now as my Manager has just phoned to say there is an opportunity for a promotion at work, interviews being held in 10 days time and asked if I would be interested. She needed an answer there and then so I said yes but now it's left me in a quandary.

I don't want to take the job and then Sod's Law get pregnant Confused

MrsCummings · 30/11/2016 09:29

Yes Carlotta personally I would (if the body is still willing haha), totally blaming Ovia confusing me for my barren womb status this month... (I may of course be projecting my grumpiness)

MrsCummings · 30/11/2016 09:31

Writer I wouldn't put it on hold for a job, you'll have 9 months to work that role, and it'll be there when you go back. You can't work on "what if's"

Go for it!

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 09:33

Well after my BFN at 10dpo I was very sceptical about testing this morning (12dpo) but I got my BFP! AF would be due on Saturday so holding off getting too excited until then.

Get in there MrsG!! woooooo!

Writerwannabe83 · 30/11/2016 09:45

mrscummings - it would be in a very stressful, tiring position including lots of extra work and I don't know if I can be bothered with all that whilst I was TTC. When I was pregnant with DS I had various complications and was signed off sick at 14 weeks gestation and didn't return for the rest of my pregnancy. There's a very, very high chance I will have the same problems with another pregnancy so I don't want to add even more stress into my life and I would feel very unfair to take a job where potentially I would then be signed off sick 6 months down the line.

Congratulations MrsG - great news!!! Can we see a phooo as I love looking at positive HPTs and it gives me hope that it will happen for us all Smile

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 09:48

I did a cheapie first and saw a squinter so did a "less" cheapy which has picked it up much better! Saving my FRER for Saturday and then I'll do a CB digi one!

Congratulations MrsG! Over the moon for you! What was the secret formula for success?! X

DrRBannerx · 30/11/2016 10:42

Congratulations mrsg xx

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 10:47

We didn't do anything in particular Carlotta DTD on CD5,8,10,11. Ovulated on CD11 so there must have been some lucky swimmers up there waiting!

Kskifred · 30/11/2016 10:58

Congrats! I can even see a clear bfp on the squinter! Yay x

Bows85 · 30/11/2016 11:11

Woohoo! Congratulations MrsG! That's fantastic news.
Still waiting for that elusive positive OPK (I'm on CD18 today). So frustrating. But got to keep reminding myself this is only cycle 1 and I'm still learning what my cycles are like after being on the pill for so long. Still keeping FX that it happens soon because DH buggers off for 11 days on Sunday. DTD a lot at the min, just in case!

Londonexhile · 30/11/2016 11:42

Congratulations MrsG!!!

Still sitting on my hands (am even more tempted now!!). 10DPO today & not testing until Sat (or maybe Friday Hmm). AF due Sunday.

FlaminFlamingo99 · 30/11/2016 12:39

MrsG!! Appreciate you want us to reserve the excitement until later in the week - for goodness sake don't forget to let us know when we can be excited or we will burst with excitement. We need to know the MINUTE we are allowed to congratulate you please!!! Because obviously your BFP is all about us and how we feel Grin
I shall not congratulate you yet, but I may emit a tiny high pitched noise from time to time... Eep!

Tinkerbell2319 · 30/11/2016 12:44

Wow MrsG that's amazing congratulations! How are you feeling?

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 12:51

Thanks everyone! Finding it hard to not be excited myself to be honest. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that squinter this morning Grin

No symptoms as of yet really, my boobs were a tiny bit sensitive on Sunday night but that's it.
