Ovulated on Friday, shared photos of my positive ovulation test. Just tested again now, because I just need to test something haha and they're still positive. How long do they stay positive for? I thought they'd be negative by now x

DrRBanner I am no OPK expert so hopefully someone else can offer some advise. But I think they are normally positive for a few days - but it's when the levels PEAK that signifies that you are about to ovulate... If you are using the strips, you might find the lines are lighter and darker even though they all seem positive? Hopefully someone else can advise you soon xx

Bows it's different for everyone, and ovulation can happen at different times even for the same person. Make sure you're testing at the same time each day to get a consistent result. For me, on cycle 1 I started to get darker lines around CD14 then a positive on CD16 & CD17. On cycle 2 I tested from CD6 and had a sudden positive on CD10, after not having a strong second line previously!

Girls have failed on my poas ban, just ordered some opks from EBay, much cheaper than the others though! I wish I felt inspired to have sex, I don't think this ttc has done much for my sex drive! I find the thought quite yucky

Yes if you're still getting positives Dr then you mightn't have ovulated yet. After ovulation the OPKs should go faint again.

mrsg hmm.. I'm unsure of what's going on, I was getting ovulation pains Saturday evening right hip area so was sure it was then. I'll just keep dtd and hope for the best x

Hi everyone I'm on CD5 of cycle 4
Just found out DH is working away lots this month so maybe I'm gonna have to wish to be pregnant next Christmas instead.
He's only here next weekend & the weekend after. Wish us luck!

Thanks MrsG. Trying to test around the same time every day so hopefully I'll notice the line darkening in the next few days. Hoping that I ovulate soonish. DH goes away with work for 11 days from 4th December. Sod's law says I'll get a positive OPK when he's away

evening all - just trying to catch up on the action!
I am on cd9 now so i guess just about to enter fw. I may lay off the opks this month and just try and dtd every other day for 10 days or so.

Need to get on the case tonight as DH out for the next 2 nights drinking so no chance of performing ! I am sipping a lemsip in slipper socks and a wooly jumper so feeling pretty damn sexy - how can he resist?!?

Just me or is anyone else thinking about cute ways to tell their other half that they are pregnant on Xmas day? probably be wishful thinking but god it would be amazing!

Eek minime how are you feeling? I've just finished my period and only on CD4 so I only have one shot left. Very very unlikely but can't help thinking how nice it would be. I have my fingers crossed you get your BFP!!

Charley, for me it's my parents and sister. My DH will be with me when I will take any tests, don't think I could do something so important to him on my own. And he gives good cuddles if it's a BFN. He checked the first test I ever did. I didn't want to know.

I'm feeling ok-chalking each twinge and ache to a sign. I'm obsessing again and spending too many hours looking up symptoms v dpo to see if there's a chance. Boobs noticeably sorest today, and been having strange pinchy/poking feelings down below- think they're all in my mind/wishful thinking!

Haha I think my DH would start worrying and overthinking if he was there everytime I POAS I think I'd like to wait until the morning and test... And then keep it just between us for a few days and be in a little bubble of our own. Although it's probably all irrelevant because my period is due the week before and will probably turn up bang on time

You're not the only one charley I have been doing the same too! 5dpo and nothing yet I feel like I'm going mad waiting for everything to come!

I had a family member send me 12 week scan pics yesterday too! So happy for them but can't help feeling a little twinge!

mouse I'm the same DH will know within minutes but if I get a BFP we'recommend going to give Christmas cards I've had made with us on then add a little sticker with a pair of baby booties and August 2017 to my close family. They need to know as I won't be drinking over Christmas and if it's anything like last time I'll spend most of it with my head down the toilet!

mineme I'm also prodding poking and generally obsessing. I have some scratchy pains but only either 4 or 2 dpo. I'm also sure I'm not pregnant as I'm still drinking coffee and I was instantly off instantly to with DD

Binkybunny aww that's a cute idea! I've been having a think in my optimistic moments and Christmas cards would be a lovely way to share the news ... approaching the end of FW now and knackered, will be heading into the 2WW soon so fingers crossed!
