Evening all. Hope everyone is well. Now 6 days from af and 3/4 until I can officially poas (hasn't stopped me with my ic-unsurpringly another bfn) feeling a tad crampy and cranky today, but I'm putting that down to pms. Think my girls look darker at the nips and seem to have bluer veins, but that is likely wishful thinking! Lacking positivity here, and I'm convinced I'll be out this month too. I would so love to give DH good news for Christmas, please Santa be kind!

Please can I join you? Ttc dc2, already have ds who is 2.6yo. On cycle 5, cd2 after ridiculous 49 day cycle (usually 35 days). Can you imagine how many tests in used?!

Forgot to add I'm 33 and desperate for a bfp for Christmas.

It doesn't help that we're both so exhausted all the time with work and dealing with our DS. I barely get time to even have a shower let alone shave my legs. However, tomorrow I'm going to sit my DS in the bathroom with me with the iPad to entertain him whilst I shower and shave. I don't really like plonking him in front of the IPad just so I can get on with things but these are special circumstances

After all my am i arent i ovulating, I'm going back to AF due on the 5th as just had ripping pain in my lower right which is always a sign of ovulating. DH and I are a bit DTD'd out after 4 out of the last 5 but surely that will be fine if we DTD again to.orrow night?

I am hating the TWW, and I'm really not used to getting my own way (only child spoilt brat right here) so I really hope we have nailed it on the first try! Although I have no idea how I'm going to pull off not drinking over Xmas if we have... suspect a set of antibiotics may feature in explanations

Symptom spotting is the worst isn't it? Just entering the TWW and convinced myself I felt nauseous this morning. I didn't and anyway I'm only about 3dpo. Hugs and patience to everyone!

Got baby bombed by a good friend - she is the most fertile person I know!! I'm not upset because she is pregnant but thinking it would be lovely to be pregnant together etc.

My brother is getting married on Saturday so don't know if I should test Saturday morning. Due AF next Tuesday. If I get a BFN which I think is possible don't want to be upset

AF due 3rd December but likely testing early as I am ridiculously impatient. I have a bag full of IC and am itching to use them. ( I had a dream last night that I used 6 boxes of FRER tests in one day and decided I had gone officially mad!).

Pretty confident I ovulated on Sat night / Sun AM - had a positive OPK on Sat AM & then twinges Saturday night.

Hopefully we did enough this time...we DTD Mon, Tues, Weds, Sat & twice Sunday! My DH is loving it ATM!! Bit worried that we didn't manage Thursday or Friday but FX!

Now for obsessive symptom spotting....

Londonexhile It looks like we are almost cycle buddies! I got a positive OPK on Saturday at 2pm but I don't get ovulation cramps so not sure exactly how long after I did actually ovulate.

We DTD on Sunday, Weds, Thurs, Fri, twice on Sat and once Sun. Now my husbans is away with work and before he comes back I'm off on a mini break so I won't see him until next week when the TWW is almost up. Fingers crossed for us both!

The TWW is horrible - do you girls act as if you are pre-pregnant and avoid everything you should if pregnant or continue as normal? I ask as I have a lot of client Christmas events coming up where it will be obvious if I don't drink, plus a boozy spa break with family and friends this weekend where I am panicking as I hear that steam rooms, saunas and jacuzzis can cause neural tube issues in very early pregnancy.

powerpuffer I am basically doing a hermit impression during the TWW, doing all the crimbo wrapping, shopping etc and avoiding socials until I know either way. I've managed to worm out of everything until 10th December just for good measure. :)

Well I reckon the more sperm there is in there the more chance there is of one of them meeting an egg! And he's away all week so we have to make the most of the weekends!

powerpuffer its entirely personal but the baby wouldn't absorb anything until at least 5 weeks pregnant (when the placenta takes over) so I really wouldn't worry about having a drink. Think of how many people get pregnant accidentally and have been out on benders before finding out, the babies are always fine. Also at the tww stage steam rooms/saunas would not be an issue as the baby is just tiny ball of cells that have barely developed.

I feel inspired to have sex now. My FW starts in two days so may as well start practising

PowderPuffer I'm with MrsG on this one - completely agree you don't need to worry about any of that before you even know you are pregnant. Personally, I would do all of the things you listed, and I just wouldn't drink too much and if I went in spa I wouldn't get too hot in sauna etc but it wouldn't stop me from doing anything normal. Really don't worry about it

HellsBells I know what you mean about the baby bomb from a good friend, I have the same with a friend of mine atm I'm so happy for her as I know it's not been easy for her to be pg - but I hoped we might both be pg together so feel happy for her but a bit sad for me because it makes me feel like I want it more so we can go through it together. Hopefully this is our month anyway . Oh and stop staring at your nips!!!

Could I ask a question about OPKs? According to ovia my FW starts on Thursday (although I am not sure if that's definitely correct as I think my cycle length is still a bit unpredictable).
I've been testing this week, as I want to be totally prepared, but today's second line was very light (possibly lighter than Saturday's test). When would my OPKs start to show a stronger second line?
