Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Thanks for the tip skipper I have scars from rosacea acne so will try that

I don't think there's any harm getting initial tests started starmist I've just started cycle 11 and I'm getting it all done.

I'm not sure I can request all those bluebird as I've already got the tests ordered. She is the fertility specialist at the practise though and sounds like she's seasoned in referring to the fertility centre. Hopefully she will have us covered for what they require.

Sorry hep I just find it so depressing going to end of the list yet again. Period will be here next on 12 November. I should start planning something nice to lift me when it inevitably comes.

MouseLove · 22/10/2016 11:46

Thank you ladies. Really means a lot. I did test again this morning but more to get the other test out the house lol. I got a 2 pack only £3.50 so I made sure. It was obviously a BFN but I watched it change today and I'm completely ok for it. I'm just hoping it's not too much longer before AF turns up. DH has been fantastic. He's reassured me I've not got a dried up womb and that he plans to put one in me soon. GrinWink
Thank you again. X

miwelaisjacydo · 22/10/2016 13:21

Trying to catch up on thread.....I thought Af had arrived albeit 6 days early but after a few spots yesterday and almost none today am at a loss. I just recon Af playing hide and seek.

InspectorPenguin · 22/10/2016 14:04

14 Nov for me please Hep.

Glad you're feeling happier Mouse, your DH sounds lovely.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. DP and I have been playing sport this morning, just come home for an avocado/salmon/poached egg brunch and are taking the bikes out this afternoon. Perfect Smile

MrsG280516 · 22/10/2016 14:25

Brrr no sunshine here, I'm snuggled up on the sofa with my puppy dog as DH is at work! Got a brand new Yankee candle for my birthday so burning that and making the house smell nice Grin

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 15:10

Sounds good MrsG - we have sunshine here but I am freezing. I'm making pickled eggs and onions for Christmas at the moment, so stinking out the house with vinegar.

Notyetthere · 22/10/2016 16:39

Mouse - You were right about the graph. I have got a bfp!

FF says AF is due Tuesday so I am not out of the woods yet. I have been symptomless right to yesterday when I got the nastiest cramps ever. I can only describe these cramps the same as the ones I had when I was miscarrying. Anyway, today the pain is there but not as bad.

I am very nervous this time round. I have lost the innocence of enjoying a pregnancy. I will have to wait till next weekend way past expected AF date before I will believe that it is happening.

Sorry I am rambling on. Here is this morning's test.

Being nervous is completely natural. Take each day at a time. Just smile, be happy. Today you are pregnant.

HepKestrel · 22/10/2016 16:58

sounds like a lovely day inspector !

MrsG280516 · 22/10/2016 17:01

Congratulations notyet!! I can understand your nervousness. Really hope it works out for you FlowersFlowersFlowers

kwick · 22/10/2016 17:04

Sorry mouse Flowers feel bad for encouraging you to test but I thought you would get your BFP.

bluebird I have cut put vitamin b complex - which has itching as a common side effect, and I was not taling for fertility & will see what happens.
Will do blood tests also to see if I am diabetic.

MouseLove · 22/10/2016 18:11

I think I needed it kwick!! Although today has been EWCM city. Best act on that later Wink

Notyetthere I freaking told you!!! Congratulations and thanks for not making me eat my hat. Hahaha. Grin

Musicgrrl · 22/10/2016 18:22

Woooo *notyetthere you have a great record! Has it been two BFPs in three cycles ttc?!

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 19:03

Notyet - wow! congratulations! Try not to worry, I'm sure this one will be fine - your body knows what its doing now. Just relax and enjoy the feeling, fx for you!

Also, does anyone get brown spotting just before their period? TMI alert!!! I always seem to get this dark brown, gloopy discharge in the 5 days leading up to AF. It's not enough to come through to my knickers, in fact I only notice when I wipe after going for a wee. I'm starting to worry that maybe my luteal phase isn't as long as I thought it is...

Nicky883 · 22/10/2016 19:43

Congratulations notyet !
Skipper if you spot more than 1 or 2 days before af arrives is due to your progesterone dropping quicker than it should at least thats what my gynecologist told me when i mentioned that sometimes i spot for a day before af ! I would mentioned it to your gp i thibk you can get progesterone cream or something like that
I Got my period today right on time ! On to cycle 11 ! I cannot quite believe it to be honest but at least i stopped having tantrus now everytime af shows i just expect her !
Dh sa is on tuesdayso feeling very nervous about that !

Put me town for 17 of november hep

Notyetthere · 22/10/2016 20:16

Hep and MrsG - Thank you. I will try to take each day at a time.

Mouse - Definitely get dtd tonight! Continue with the temping as you might still yet to ovulate. You might catch the bean.

Music - Thank you. Yes you are right. 1st cycle I was away from DH. 2nd cycle resulted in a bfp which ended in a mc at 5wks. I started temping after mc bleeding and opk like I had just finished AF and dtd when we expected fw and positive opk. Looks like we have been lucky to catch quickly but I just need my uterus to play ball and hold on to this bean and make it grow well.

Skipper - Thank you. You brown spotting before AF sound normal to me. Surely the womb lining starts to break down when progesterone levels start to drop?

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 20:29

But my temps stay elevated until a day before AF. I thought it was progesterone causing the temp rise?

MrsG280516 · 22/10/2016 20:44

Just had some cuddles with my best friends' 7 week old baby and gave her a bottle, I wonder if extreme broodiness might make my ovaries release an egg?! Lol

Notyetthere · 22/10/2016 22:07

Oh no Sk1pper I am now wotried as I have just had a shower and out of habit I checked cm and was brown. Maybe I am having a chemical and that AF is just round the corner. I guess better sooner rather than later so that I can move on to the next cycle.

bluebird3 · 22/10/2016 22:08

I get that too skipper. Don't know the cause of it but my blood tests showed I don't ovulate. Don't freak out though...I've googled it a million times and it can be normal for some people. Bodies are just weird.

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 22:22

Notyet - well I've been trying to google it tonight with no luck but I did read it can be implantation bleeding too, so maybe that's what you're getting?

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 22:25

blue - thanks, I'm pretty certain I'm ovulating but I guess my tests will confirm. I feel like someone needs to write a massive book on all this shit, there are so many problems and not enough answers.

parsnips82 · 23/10/2016 00:35

Hello all!
I am a total newbie to this but one of my pals suggested I look into a forum to help with the stress of ttc.
I have been trying for 6 months, 1 x miscarriage (at a baby show for my business in Germany. Very awkward) and af finished today so getting back on the ttc train!

A few questions for you wise people...
what supplements do you take
Do you use temp charts and ovulation sticks?

You all sound like such good eggs, looking forward to getting up the duff with you all!

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 02:54

Parsnip Welcome to the group! Hope this new cycle is the one where your bfp happens!

In terms of supplimments, I am taking tesco's own pregnancy multi vitamins and because I miscarried quite recently I supplimmented with feroglobin for the extra iron. I will stop with the feroglobin when I finish this pack and only take the multi vitamins. If your diet is varied then I don't think you need that many supplimments but make sure you have folic acid.

Some of us here temp and opk at the same time but others have been doing one of those only. I did both as I wanted to catch the LH surge or more importantly the days leading up to it. The temping was going to be more useful to me with subsequent cycles when I could see when exactly ovulation happened to predict future dates. I personally recommend using both, they are both quite cheap. I believe I spent £5 on a thermometer and another £5 on 40 opk strips with 10 hcg strips off eBay.

For my 1st pregnancy temping put me off and to be honest I didn't fully understand it but one of ladies on here a while ago recommended it and explained how it works. If anything the graphs are fascinating to look at and give an understanding of how your progesterone levels work in combination with the rest of your cycle symptoms.

If you want I can share my opk board pic as I line them up see how LH levels rise in the hope of dtd towards the surge.

Sorry that went on a bit.
