Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Wow a shiny new thread.

Alexia am so sorry for your loss.

AF here this morning. Am so fed up of it arriving every month.
Getting fed up of people asking about me and DHs plans for kids.

On a side note had the child I work with who has limited speech ask me where baby was and that there one in my belly! That floored me a bit!

Am thinking of going to Drs if nothing happened by January. But also am thinking of going to see a Clervoiant. Am not mad honest ,😉

So, I'm gonna go buy a first response test tonight. My mind is toying with the idea of just testing straight away tonight rather than waiting for tomorrow first wee. Thoughts?

I'm CD36 today. No idea of DPO and AF due. First cycle off Cerelle. No real signs of either apart from a little tender belly ache now and then. Before Monday I was having tummy ache every day. It's eased right off since Monday. BlushConfused

Mouse - On the subject of testing with a Frer. It doesn't have to be first morning wee. Frers are so sensitive that they pick it up at any time of the day. My last pregnancy I used a Frer on 10dpo at about 8pm and the line was very clear. I will join you tonight testing if you wishWink

Cycle 21?

Waiting on fertility clinic appt following bloods showing I don't ovulate and dh having a low count. they sent a letter saying arrive 10 min early bc you may be asked for a urine sample to do a pregnancy test before your appointment. Like the appointment isn't going to be hard enough without having the crippling disappointment of poas two minutes before just to remind me that my uterus is a barren wasteland. Grrrr...

Mouse Rome was amazing!! We had such a good time, prepare for lots of walking because the Metro there isn't very good as it only goes in two directions really. Its good for getting to the Vatican or Colosseum though. Oh and if you fancy a special meal whilst you're there, check out Restaurant Life, we had their black truffle tasting menu and it was unbelievable!

Glad the pain has subsided skipper yes we are very similar with our tests now Smile I just want to crack on with it. Has your oh done his SA? Mine has to take his second in on Monday. I'm praying for a more normal morphology score.

Sorry about BFN binky Flowers

Hello moose good to see you glad you are still with us. You are my cycle 11 inspiration! Let us know how the scan goes. Do you have many pregnancy symptoms?

Hello miw sorry about AF it is so shit Sad other people need to mind their own business!

Oh bluebird Sad that is rubbish, they don't get the poas heartache clearly. When is your appointment?

Day 8 today. Should probably start having some sex...

InspectorPenguin · 21/10/2016 11:23

Hi everyone, that last thread got filled up quickly!

My stats:
Age 35 (for 3 weeks only Sad)
TTC#1
Cycle #8
CD12 of a likely 35ish.
Testing 13th Nov if no AF by then.

Came off Microgynon after 17+ years at the start of the year and have been having pretty long cycles since then. Using OPKs but not tried temping and don't intend to anytime soon. Never get any ovulation symptoms (besides positive OPKs) so hoping there is something going on inside me!

I went to the GP after 6 months (due to age) but he was very unhelpful, chucked me out and told me to come back in the new year.
However, I have news! DP had worked with the hospital fertility consultant before and emailed him for some advice and to see if we could self-refer. He immediately emailed back to invite us to his clinic (confirming that our GP should have started us on tests) and so we are going next week. Very happy!

Alexia very sorry to hear about your granddad Flowers

Sorry to those who have had AF arrive, or are in limbo, and FX for those of you with promising signs.

Very pleased to hear all going well so far Moose. Best of luck today - please do let us know how it goes.

Skipper I'm glad to see you're feeling much better now. It sounded awful! Sod's law that it all happened during your holiday too. Sounds like fab news on all the tests happening so quickly though.

Hep that is great news about the changes you're seeing in resting HR already, well done! Are you going to be doing any ParkRuns? They're fab for getting used to the 5k distance and the community spirit is wonderful. You get all your times recorded online too so it's great for seeing your improvements over time and there are plenty of people that walk the whole course, or walk/run so no-one feels left behind. How are the new trainers working for you?

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Hep - so glad your c25k is going well, definitely worth while sticking to it not just for the obvious improvment in your physical conditions but its a lovely mental distraction too.

Moose - how did you scan go? Do they give you results there and then or do you have to wait?

Miw - sorry Flowers, I don't think anyone on here will judge you for seeing a Clervoiant, many of us are at the stage of tyring everything and anything.

Jem - SA was this morning. The hospital was heaving and he only just got it to the path lab within half an hour. What were the results of your first SA test?

Penguin - wow, nice one regarding your referral for tests! Another prime example of - its not what you know, it's who you know ;)

I've just noticed that my ultrasound has an internal part to it...I'm a little worried as it will be on CD3 and my period is so, so heavy. Is that okay do you think?

Report
LondonJem · 21/10/2016 13:02

Skipper he had high count 95m and 45 progressive - needs to be over 32. Those are the most important things so relieved they are both good. He had 2% morphology - basically they look at a sample of 100 sperms and count how many are 'normal'. The criteria is very strict apparently - and how representative 100 is out of 95million??? Normal range is considered to be 4% and above.

Report
sk1pper · 21/10/2016 13:08

So they've sent him for test two because of the morphology? Sounds like there is nothing really wrong with the swimmers though :) I hope that's the case for us!

Report
LondonJem · 21/10/2016 13:26

I think it's because of the low morphology yes. The GP said they don't make decisions based on one SA as results do fluctuate.

The morphology thing is a nightmare. It's so unclear how important it is. It seems to be that if your count is high and they swim well you should be able to conceive naturally. However there are lots and lots of stories of couples trying for years and requiring IVF. But then maybe there were other factors for them?

Such a minefield.

Hi everyone!!!

Just on the way back from the scan, it was so exciting. Saw a little blob and a little flickering heartbeat! Still only early days as only 7 weeks but it was very reassuring to see it doing what it was meant to, especially as I don't seem to have many symptoms! Just tired, a bit queasy occasionally and hungry! Lol

inspector ha! i think i am weeks away from being ready for a park run!

week2 is alternating 90sec run, 2min walk. For now i just go to the gym (attached to work so cheap) straight after work. The hardest part for me in the past is getting into the habit of exercise. am going again tonight.

But i will be healthy, and i will be able to handle my stress and anxiety better Smile..... equally important for me and for me the best practical thing i can do to help ttc. well..... other than WinkWinkWinkWink

my caffeine intake is probably 1-3 cups a day, so not too bad.
