Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Sorry about your grandpa alexia Flowers we almost lost my grandma who is 92 recently - it was heartbreaking to try to come to terms with for us. It doesn't matter how old they are, saying goodbye is hard.

LondonJem · 20/10/2016 17:56

I didn't realise men should take folic acid too. I wonder if proxeed has it in?

MouseLove · 20/10/2016 18:15

Bare in mind I started temping 19 days after finishing my pill. My temps are all over the show. Taken at 5am every day apart from weekends when I take them at 6-7am however for sanity sake I sometimes re-take my temp at 7am and it's pretty much the same as 5am.

Thanks Jem. He had terminal cancer and hasn't has much happiness since my Nana died in 2013 so in a way I'm glad it's all over for him. Poor thing. Hope your Grandma keeps going strong.

I just had a look at the Proxeed ingredients on Amazon and it mentions folic acid, I just don't know what the quantity is. An extra 400mcg tablet can't hurt?

Mouse apart from 2-3 temps the rest are in a similar temperature range which isn't too low imo. They're a bit erratic but I believe that's due to disrupted sleep and anxiety. It looks a bit similar to my first chart where I was highly stressed. Now my charts are much steadier in general. If you can try temping at 5am at the weekend too. I always go back to sleep after. Obviously it's up to you but it'll avoid open circles.

Mouse this is my chart. The last few days have been odd lol. Mine don't fluctuate that much day to day so aren't as zig-zaggy.

Going to be another long ass cycle I bet.

Due to start tests next cycle.

LondonJem · 20/10/2016 20:31

Hope you are feeling a bit better today skipper?

MrsG280516 · 20/10/2016 21:05

Thanks for the new thread Alexia just trying to catch up on everyone

MrsG
Cycle #1
CD13

Back from our trip to Rome today and still in predicted FW until tomorrow, managed to DTD every day Mon-Wed. Temps are still a bit erratic, I've had a few sharp rises followed by falls so don't know what's going on there. Somehow don't think that ovulation will be happening tomorrow!

OPKs have all been negative so far including today but haven't been doing them at a consistent time. Now I'm back home I'll try to do them at a set time, can anyone suggest the best time for the strongest result on OPKs?

MouseLove · 20/10/2016 21:23

Alexia your chart is cute!!! Nice curve lol. I think mine is all over the show due to interrupted sleep. I do seem to wake from 3ish a lot. I wake my DH for work at 5am.

MrsG oh yay!! You're back from Rome, how was it? Any recommendations? I can't wait for our trip next month.

Well ladies I think I may make it to Saturday!! Absolutely crapping myself. I've never POAS before. Shock

Youowemeatenner · 20/10/2016 21:29

Hi everyone, thanks for the new thread Alexia and I'm so sorry about your grandad. I'm gradually getting the hang of things on MN, was finding it a bit hard to keep up, hoping the new thread will help me.

Stats:
Tenner, 29
Cycle #2
Cd9

FW in a day or 2. I've taking it very serious this month, been temping and started using opks today. Awkward question, how do yous all use the opk? Hold it in the pee-flow? Use a wee cup then dip it in? Today I used a wee cup but felt a bit of an eejit. Please assure me I'm doing it right Grin

hep can you stick me down for AF on 8/11, thanks.

sk1pper · 20/10/2016 21:34

Nicky - just to be sure, tell them you've been trying for 18 months. Where have you booked to have the SA done? The NHS do that as one of your first tests, my OH is doing his tomorrow - so may be worth cancelling to save yourself the money. When you go to your GP, you just need to tell them everything you've been doing to try and help yourself conceive. I'm not sure if you do OPKs but probably best to lie about this if you haven't been and say you have sex every day in your fertile window. You should find it quite easy to get the ball rolling after this, not all GPs are as shit as mine. If they don't suggest fertility testing, tell them you want it, if they refuse for some bizarre reason, you can ask for a second opinion from another GP. Let me know how it goes!

Jem - and good luck with your tests too! I love that you, Nicky and I are just starting this journey together. I've had a letter come through for an ultra sound today, I don't even remember the Doctor mentioning that to me. So next Saturday I've got day 3 bloods and the ultra sound, things are chugging along nicely.

Alexia - so sorry about your Gramps, I hope he has found peace with your Nana. You are a strong, inspirational woman and I know he would be proud of you. I love how despite all this, you've still taken the time to write an extensive supplement list for us silly folk.

Mouse - I agree wholeheartedly with Hep, stay clear of Google - you are a search engine fiend. You will not find happiness there, only 101 indications of a barren vagina and an early grave.

So my body has patched up my ovary, probably with a plaster and some rubber bands, but the pain is non existent now. Unfortunately, because of that, I think the chances of me being pregnant this cycle are very unlikely...well, more so than usual. But no point crying over spilt milk...or broken eggs. Grin. I'll get my coat...

Notyetthere · 20/10/2016 21:41

Alexia - Sorry about your grandad Flowers. Your chart does look very uniform. Mine is following the general trend but it is zigzaggy.

I might have to join the weekend testers if AF does not show. FF says I should test next Saturday as this is my first cycle recorded with it. AF is due on Tuesday but then I had a very positive opk so now I'm thinking Hmm hmmm I ought to investigate this more.I will test on Saturday at 12dpo. Fx we have a lot of bfps.

MrsG - I find that I get consistent results on opks after work at about 6.30pm. However, when they start to get to close to positive, I tend to do up to 3 opks a day (ics only though so I could use a few for the peak 2 to 3 days and not worry about price).

Notyetthere · 20/10/2016 21:50

Tenner - Welcome. Yes you are doing it right with peeing in a cup. Most of us can't find a wee stream Grin. One of my friends even recommended you could opk the poncey way with using a special ramekin.

MouseLove · 20/10/2016 21:54

Sk1pper you crack me up, I'm glad you are seeing the light hearted side of things. And you're right, I'm backing away from dr google. Grin

Notyetthere is that your ff chart?? You're totes preggers if it is!!!!

Binkybunny13 · 20/10/2016 21:56

Alexia so sorry for your loss- thinking of youFlowers

I've just been baby bombed Sad And still no sign of AF yet, but know there's little chance of a BFP this month. How many days after I'm due should I try to wait before POAS? I'm trying to stay strong as know it will be negative realistically but always hurts to see it in pink and white!

Ps- sk1pper your broken eggs comment made me chuckle! Hope you're doing ok

Notyetthere · 20/10/2016 22:07

Mouse - Yes that is my chart but I'm not holding my breath. It's only 10dpo and I have seen some temperatures drop the day before AF.

HepKestrel · 20/10/2016 22:16

welcome all newbies !
i'll post my updated poas-day table tomorrow.

I don't have nice temp charts to fixate over, but looking at my resting heart rate .....

at the beginning of the year it was ~64.

In june when i got super stressed and screwed up my cycle it went upto 67. Back down to 64 in july when i conceived.

August - it climbed to 70 when i was briefly pg.
back down to 64 ....... after ERPC

and now after 2 weeks c25k, it is down to 60 !!

More motivation to stick to c25k Smile

Notyetthere · 20/10/2016 22:16

Binky - You are encouraged to test on the day AF is due but the waiting can be excruciatingly slow that a lot of us start testing at about 10dpo because implantation would have taken place at 5 - 8dpo. I got a bfp last time on 9dpo using an ic so it can be picked up then.

HepKestrel · 20/10/2016 22:19

binky its up to you, tests should be reliable from AF date.
LSFX for you.

Notyetthere · 20/10/2016 22:24

Skipper - Ooh that tea, what does it taste like? I might give it a try but I do like my English tea and not easily persuaded to try others.

sk1pper · 20/10/2016 22:45

It's not bad you know, a bit like green tea in an earthy way but the hibiscus and cinnamon give it a slight sweetness (not overpowering). I've had two cups already tonight, lots of fertility benefits but I'm mainly drinking to reduce PMS symptoms:

Musicgrrl · 20/10/2016 22:50

alexia really sorry to hear about your grandfather Flowers

MouseLove · 20/10/2016 22:51

Notyetthere I'll eat my hat if you're not. Temps consistently high, yeah WinkGrin

In other news. I have creamy cm!!! Weird. Hmm

AlexiaB · 20/10/2016 23:01

You're all so lovelyFlowers thank you all. Especially you skipper - glad your pain is gone now and you're definitely not out yet! It's great you've got bloods and a scan so soon though. Keeping fx for your DH's SA. Glad you liked the list :)

notthere I think your chart pattern looks great! You're right not to get your hopes up just yet. If you take out that first high pre-O temp you might get solid red crosshairsWink although the many open circles could affect that. You might have ovulated a couple days later on cd20?

Lol thanks Mouse! disrupted sleep/chart anxiety can really mess with your temps. Btw high temps are wonderful but they can easily plummet the day before/day of AF. You can't trust them 100% until AF is late.
