Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Sorry Jem - didn't mean to be a downer. I have bucked up my PMA this afternoon. I rationalised that just because she is pregnant it has no bearing on my fertility and ttc journey. There's no point in comparing ourselves. And yes, I think we would appreciate our +ve HPTs a lot more and feel more mentally prepared for pregnancy. Think my friend is a bit in shock!

purpleladybird · 25/10/2016 14:43

Thanks LondonJem. I'll take a look for somewhere similar up here. I don't think we've been TTC long enough for NHS help yet.

Sorry for my whingey post last night. I was feeling really frustrated and sorry for myself.

Notyetthere · 25/10/2016 15:28

Skipper I think your MIL was trying to convey a different message but it all came out wrong. My mum knew we were trying and she has said some insensitive things but I believe she means well. We did not tell anyone else but I believe they suspected we were trying.

Many people now know as the day I mc we were meant to prepare food for a party for Dnephew. We were planning to tell inlaws and SIL a few days after the party. We had tell them the bad news instead the day before the party as we were not sure that I would make it to the party. Anyway, I went to the party as I needed something to celebrate. At the party, grandMIL then said something insensitive about why DH and I were not pregnant yet and what is wrong with us! I took her aside and told her that I was miscarrying there and then (bleeding had started the day before). Telling her seemed to shut her up and quickly dropped the subject.

AlexiaB · 25/10/2016 15:43

Nicky they perform the SA within like 30 mins so after 1 hour call them up and ask for the results to be emailed to you straight away. If I didn't call and ask for them we would have had to wait for the email the next day (which arrived at about 1pm!) So definitely call them up after an hour or so. Good luck

I can't believe people would be so insensitive about something like TTC, my MIL would never mention it to me, and my own mum would never ask either. They have both said that they can't wait to be grandparents but they've not pushed the issue!

What an awful thing to have to go through notyet Flowers

AliceScarlett · 25/10/2016 15:46

Hi all. I'm reading along.

DH got his test through (NHS) trying trying to work out the logistics of getting the fresh sample there, he isn't sure about the hospital loos, fair enough.

I got a positive opk! CB dual hormone one. SO surprised, I've poas for nearly a year now and never seen anything. It doesn't actually tell me anything, but we managed to dtd so that's a plus.

I'm nannying now. I'm covered in banana and yogurt and it is actually helping me not worry too much about ttc! Or at least being more chilled out about the time frame. It's relentless and I can't relax for a minute.

sk1pper · 25/10/2016 15:50

She has said a lot of things that have pissed me off, I think she doesn't think before opening her mouth sometimes.

Here's another (silly) example. She kept going on and on about how I never bake cakes for her son - lol I know, I laughed too at first...then she went on and on about it. She used to bake all the time for her kids so obviously I should be replacing her on this vital task.

One Christmas I thought "fuck it" and made the biggest, baddest Christmas cake I've ever made, fed it for months with sherry, and did my own marzipan and icing. This thing was the shit ok, it was delicious and my OH loved it and told his mum it was even better than hers.

She had a slice and said, "yuck youve put orange peel in it."

Before I erupted like mount Vesuvius on volcano day, OH said "mum if you don't like it, don't eat it." But she apologised and said that it was lovely she just didn't like orange peel.

I'm glad it's not just me having to deal with MILs snide remarks though. Notyet - yours is particularly horrific, can't imagine how awkward that was for both you and her.

Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 15:52

Hello ladies !
Got the result back not sure what to make of them ! I think they are normal ? Any suggestions ?

Thread 20 TTC #1 - We. Want. Babies.
AlexiaB · 25/10/2016 15:55

I'm really far behind on the thread.

music baby bombs suck ugh :( Great news about the EWCM and +OPK.

skipper that is so weird that your MiL found out? Are your sure DH didn't accidentally let it slip? What an awful/strange thing for her to say too. I'm so glad my MiL is lovely, she's much easier to deal with than my own mum at times.

mouse glad you're feeling more relaxed. Fx AF shows up soon!

purple I think the closest Create clinic to you would be Birmingham? Still quite far away though so hopefully there's something closer that's reasonably priced. No need to apologise at all, we all need this outlet to vent at times.

I'm on cd21 and still waiting for my body to actually do something! I did have a temp drop to 35.75 today which is a good sign, but no ewcm and I didn't opk the last few days. So glad I've got Clomid now and that I'm getting Femara too. Literally can't be arsed with all the waiting around and uncertainty every month! It's just added stress I don't need on top of ttc. Thankfully NTNP this month but I'm anxious to see ovulation since I haven't ovulated since Aug 11thShock

Nicky they're amazing! Congrats. 448m sperm!!! That's LOADS!

OP posts:
Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 16:03

Alexia he had 5days absence wonder if thats why is so high !
Ph is at the lowest level i wonder if thats why sometime it "burns"me
Next step for me is to book a hycosy i think

MrsG280516 · 25/10/2016 16:08

That all looks normal to me Nicky nothing to worry about I don't think.

That's a very typical MIL thing sk1pper, my grandma was like that a lot with my own mum so they don't have the best of relationships. Luckily my MIL isn't much of a homemaker and never a good cook so she has nothing to comment on. Tbh she wouldn't anyway as she's very reserved. Don't see why people can't just keep their mouths shut and not comment!

AlexiaB · 25/10/2016 16:12

That's still incredibly high Nicky! His density is 83m which is higher than my DH's whole SA lol. Mine abstained between 3-4 days, something like 81 hours. A hycosy is definitely a great next step and bloods. Are you going to do the Fertility MOT?

OP posts:
Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 16:19

Alexia i have done the fertility MOT on cd21 so the doctor could actually see the corpus luteum ( i think its spelled like that ) and he could tell me that my lining was good etc. I highly recommend it .
At the time he said that from what he could see he didnt think a hycosy would be necessary and only do it if my husbands SA results were good
So i guess i will be booking in now.
I must admit i am hugely relieved .
I don't know if it made any difference but for the past 3 and a half months my dh was on wellman conception daily plus vitamin D. He also had eggs every morning along with a teaspoon of honey and walnuts
There is no way of knowing if that help at all though
I have a gp appoitment on friday . I am pretty sure i do ovulate but i am not sure what else they check for in blood tests?

AlexiaB · 25/10/2016 16:30

Nicky oh really, a hycosy will definitely be worth it then. I can't remember exactly everything they check for but thyroid is a big one and it'll have that base covered. Someone who's had it done might be able to chime in here. I'm sure the supplements and good diet made an already good sperm better :)

MouseLove · 25/10/2016 17:17

MILs can be very weird. Mine left a message on our answer phone... telling DH his grandad had died. Seriously, doesn't think. Thankfully DHs sister rang and spoke with him and broke the news before we could get home and hear the message "call me, your grandad is dead". Yep. Hmm

My CM has gone today. So maybe I had a flush out the last 3 days. I've never ever experienced that while on the pill. FF says I'm "probably fertile" and personally I think it's personally talking bull. LOL

sk1pper · 25/10/2016 17:47

Nicky - results look good, congrats xx

LondonJem · 25/10/2016 18:33

Wow those results are great Nicky your DH must be very chuffed!

Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 18:43

Yes he is now jem ! After googling abit He is now saying he has super sperm and walking around with a huge grin HmmI just really hoped we are not in the unexplained statistics !

LondonJem · 25/10/2016 18:48

Hopefully everything else will come back good and clear and all pressure off you will conceive by Christmas. Fingers crossed!

Day 12 and we are on track. DTD yesterday and today. Now have no idea what is cm and what is sperm. Negative OPK tests so far and no ovulation pain. Watch this space. I feel like such a weathered battle trod soldier going through all this for the eleventh time. Please let me follow in your footsteps moose and get BFP on cycle 11!

MouseLove · 25/10/2016 18:49

Urgh. Just been baby bombed on facebook. TWICE!! Both school friends recently married, both first babies. This is the first baby bomb of my TTC and my heart ached a little. Can't help but feel, will it ever be me?

MrsG280516 · 25/10/2016 19:02

Got my fx for you Jem

Aww don't think that Mouse you're only a month in, you could be pregnant this time next month! Positive thinking!

Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 19:13

Yes jem i will definately relax a bit now ! Fx cycle 11 is luck for both of us!
Dtd wise you are covered :)

Nicky883 · 25/10/2016 19:14

Mouse this is just cycle 1 please dont get dishearted it will most probably happen within the next few months !

Musicgrrl · 25/10/2016 19:19

Good work Jem! Dtd covered here too. We both had massive train problems on the way home from work and so I was worried it would be a struggle to get DH in the mood but he was very good! I did promise him he could have a beer afterwards though... Halloween Confused
