Thanks flora. I'm sure you're right and most people fib. My bestie told me she had her coil out on the Wednesday and caught on the Thursday or something ridiculous like that. She said she was waiting for AF to start mapping but it never came. Then somehow worked out that she was ovulating the day after having the coil out. I really struggled with the 'I'm happy for you' face when she was telling me. I am happy for her of course but also furious that I haven't even had a hint of a pregnancy yet.

I also think about those times I was careless when I was younger and how it never happened then.

I'm sure these feelings are exacerbated by my stupid mood swings that plague me before during and after AF is around.

Anyway, I hope everyone else is feeling good and hoping to see some bfps this weekend.

Welcome BabyBeanCounter

ymmv · 21/10/2016 05:03

So I had a bfp last night! I'm about a week over due af wise - was going to test at the weekend but Amazon delivered early and I really thought I was stopping myself stressing and then would af (watched kettle never boils innit) but at the same time symptom spotting tww (for three weeks, ha).

So yeah. Early days. I'm mainly expecting it not to stick tbh. We'll see. Bit shocking really.

Monkeyandthebear · 21/10/2016 07:06

Ymmv congratulations!!

I got up this morning and I know I said that I was going to test tomorrow, but felt like I was bursting for a wee so it must be good strong stuff so went for it today. I am so used to testing that I just poas and carried on getting ready to go in the shower, but look what happened!! Shock Did the ic first then the frer to confirm.

According to my app the due date will be 28th June which is 2 days after the birthday my husband shares with his dad. What are the chances?!? Really hope this sticks!

thank you and congratulations yourself! Smile

Fx for the rest of you.

BabyBeanCounter · 21/10/2016 07:33

Ymmv and Monekyandthebear congratulations!!!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/10/2016 07:51

Oh my goodness, congrats YMMV and Monkey! What lovely news!

Pyjamas81 · 21/10/2016 07:52

Yaaaaaaay we have some BFPs! Congrats monkey and ymmv! Remind me, what symptoms did you have and were either of you temping?

My temps aren't looking too hopeful Sad

MouseLove · 21/10/2016 08:02

Omg congrats Monkey and ymmv yay lots of BFP!!

I'm toying with the idea of testing tonight rather than waiting till tomorrow? Hmm. I'm CD36 today coming off cerelle so it's more likely to be a long cycle than the preferred outcome. Hmm

Monkeyandthebear · 21/10/2016 08:09

Thanks ladies

Pj can you tell me how to copy my chart in FF and I will add it here? I didn't temp or opk this month. I felt so bad last month with the bfn that we just relaxed about it this month. I had a week off leading to Fw and got ewcm for the first time in ages. Symptoms have included sore nipples for the past week or so. Yesterday they felt really tingly. Had weird tummy pulling feelings but often get this. Last couple of days I have woken up during the night and needed to pee.

The bfp was quickly brought back to reality though as my husband had to drain a radiator so the painter who was arriving at 7:30 could paint our dining room! Grin

Monkeyandthebear · 21/10/2016 08:10

Ps is it ok if I stick around here for a bit longer? Don't feel like I am grown up enough for any pregnancy boards!

Pyjamas81 · 21/10/2016 08:11

I just take a screen shot on my iPhone and attach it on here as a picture (I'm on the Mumsnet app and it's the paper clip button to add attachments) Smile

So pleased for you!! Have you got to go to work today and actually concentrate?! I'd find it impossible!!

HellsBellsK · 21/10/2016 08:19

Great news to wake up to!! Huge Congrats Monkey and ymmv !!
Thats gas Monkey looking forward if I am pregnant now my due date would be the same day as my Dad and Brother!

Mouse I would probably test tonight just so I know I think. But thats me - I would like to great my head around it either way - if you get me.

I keep going from thinking I have more systoms then normal to nothing. Last night I didn't feel great and went to bed early. I would normally get up and go to the gym at 6am but couldn't face it twice this week which isn't like me. But on the other hand I think its all in my head to be honest!
We will find out next week either way - my app says I can test in 5 days but I might wait on AF to arrive or not which would be next Saturday.

Happy Friday!

OHMoll · 21/10/2016 08:25

Feeling very emotional AF came really thought I was pg. Just have to try again next month. Good luck to all the ladies for bfp!!

ymmv · 21/10/2016 08:28

thanks guys.

I wasn't temping pyjamas.

my boobs are a different sort of sore to my usual premenstrual and they've not inflated either. And I'm not bloated but feel kind of tight. I've been shedding tears - like not full on snot cry but like a 3 second tears escaping and then I'm fine at all manner of stuff - but I've not been volatile like I would be with PMT. I'm quite in tune with my menstrual moods - I get furious after ovulating and then have an anger fury day/afternoon exactly a week before AF. I didn't get the week before anger spike this time. But I also had a hideous cold so. So most of my symptoms could have been pmt really.
I do feel like I've got an excessive amount of saliva but I'm not googling and that's probably post cold. Hmm

I was only going to start temping after christmas.

I think we can stick around Monkeyandthebear. Pregnancy is contagious right?

MouseLove I think you should test unless disappointment would be inconvenient. iyswim. Do you know if you've ovulated? I kinda think do the test but then Monkey and I both cracked before the weekend so I'm hardly going to say otherwise.

florafoxtrot · 21/10/2016 08:34

Congratulations ymmv and monkey!! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

Monkeyandthebear · 21/10/2016 08:42

Mouse I think you need to do what you think is right. I waited last weekend and didn't test. I am now 2 days past AF with no spotting, which I normally have 2 days before. I would go with tomorrow so it is fmu.

Ymmv I really hope pregnancy is catching for all the ladies here. We were 6 months in and I was starting to lose a bit of hope. I really hope these bfps give you ladies hope that it will happen and don't feel like baby bombs xx

bassetmum · 21/10/2016 09:09

Wow what a fantastic night in the board. Congratulations on the bfps. I hope they are happy and healthy 9 months.

Ive still got a week yet but at least im almost half way through the tww. Hellsbells looks like we are have the same timings this month. Lets hope the baby dust is catching.

MouseLove · 21/10/2016 09:25

Yes ymmv there's always the real possibility I haven't even ovulated. I really have no clue. I'm just CD36 off the pill and nothing. I guess this test is just a peace of mind test. I think I already know the outcome. Sad

ymmv · 21/10/2016 09:36

I'm sorry to hear about AF OHMoll Chocolate

Yeah MouseLove and if you haven't ovulated yet that's the bit that can be delayed by stress/illness/factors so in a fingers crossed, evoking sods law style testing and getting a bfn could be constructive. if that makes any sense.

Exactly Monkeyandthebear. I'd like to promote hope.

Heatherbaby · 21/10/2016 13:31

Wow congrats to you both Ymmv and Monkey... fab news!

Will you be waiting 12 weeks before you share the news in RL?

This thread is doing pretty well :) so pleased for everyone.

I am in the 2ww. Absolutely convinced I can feel something going on down there but the logical side of my brain knows it is far too soon to have symptoms and that "it's probably nothing".

In other news I watched an online stream of the channel 4 documentary "the great sperm race" last night (lucky dh haha). It was fascinating and makes you wonder how anyone does it!

Saying that, one of the ladies said that it is difficult to know how many sperm make it in to the innermost part of the fallopian tubes through conventional testing. She said after her kids she decided to have her tubes tied but had intercourse shortly before the procedure. She asked the Dr's to cut out the small part of her tube so she could examine it. When she did, she found 20 swimmers waiting. The moral of the story was timing is everything... easier said than done right?

HellsBellsK · 21/10/2016 14:01

OHMoll Sorry to hear AF arrived - Hope you are feeling okay, look after yourself Wine

bassetmum ah great we can symptom spot over the next week together Grin

After feeling off last night I feel great again. No symptoms whats so ever so I really don't think I'm pg this month. Only DTD twice in my most fertile days also. DH took me my surprise about trying thought he wanted to wait till after Christmas. So we will wait and see.

Piehunter · 21/10/2016 14:44

Congrats ymmv and monkey I thought it sounded positive for you your last few updates :)

BabyBeanCounter · 21/10/2016 17:09

I'm loving all of the positivity around here. Let's hope all these bfps are contagious! To those symptom spotting, I'm 1dpo and already feeling extremely impatient although this is our first cycle so know chances are nil. It's so nice to read everyone's stories and share the crazy craziness of symptom spotting and resisting Google together :)
