oggy can't help with that one sorry, checking my CP is just a step too far for me lol

Oggy88 · 21/11/2016 09:56

Haha, it's strangely reassuring to hear there is such thing as too far Grin

bassetmum · 21/11/2016 10:00

I checked mine last month and I could definitely tell the difference with how high or low it was or how hard and soft. However I could never really tell the difference between open and closed. Also the articles I read about cp reckoned it wasn't a reliable way of knowing about pregnancy as some women's go to high before their bfp and some don't move till later in the pregnancy. It was interesting monitoring the changes though

My cervix gives nothing away!! Mine's quite low full time, I'm not a big fan of poking it tbh.. I only really know anything about where it is because I use a mooncup, but I find it impossible to tell anything separate so I leave it alone... My CM staring and collecting pee in pots at least 5 days a month is enough for me Grin

Pyjamas81 · 21/11/2016 22:34

And I'm out - AF arrived tonight on CD27. Cycle 6, here we come...

Glad I've got my blood test results on Thurs - then DH and I are going to go to fertility clinic to get more tests done. Looks like I'll be back on the opks and temping again! Just can't face this dtd three days in a row business...

Was really hoping a relaxed month would do the trick - oh well!

Eva30 · 22/11/2016 06:27

I'm sorry for AF pjs Sad at least there's the results coming up to keep you going. Are you going private with the fertility clinic?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/11/2016 07:05

Sorry that AF got you, pjs. Good luck with the tests and in the meantime I hope you can have some cheering Wine and Chocolate?

Pyjamas81 · 22/11/2016 07:49

Thanks guys - well at least the ripple will be guilt free this weekend! I think I'm fine about it all - not much we can do about it other than go for tests. Yep - will go private as hopefully less faff. Any recommendations for clinics in London?

bassetmum · 22/11/2016 08:13

So sorry af got you pjs.

I think I am going to be out this month. I've got what I think is my usual hormonal headache. Only cd25 though so a little bit early, I would usually get it the day before af. Hmmm.

OP posts:
MouseLove · 22/11/2016 08:31

Sorry pjs Flowers
Can I ask why you're having tests done so early? Do you have irregular cycles. X

Basset FX is something else. You're not out until af shows.

I'm not even sure I know where my cervix is. So CP is probably as useful to me as my temp chart, which resembles a seismic chart hahaha. Halo

Hope you all have a nice Tuesday. Crappest day of the week!!!

Pyjamas81 · 22/11/2016 08:34

Basically because I'm 35 and DH is 41, so would rather know now if there's an issue than later! GP recommended tests as well due to age and the fact it's now been 6 months.

Hope AF doesn't get you basset!

Back to temping this morning - sigh...

Kirstyinnorway · 22/11/2016 11:16

Period pals, pjs! Sorry the witch got you too Flowers

Keeping fx crossed for you Basset.

I'm only CD3 and I'm bored of waiting to get going again. Third time lucky... Come on cycle 3!

bluebell17 · 22/11/2016 13:44

Hi all. I'm new to this this thread, these blogs and ttc! Hope it's ok to join?
I came off the pill to ttc on 16th oct, had usual bleed 21-24 Oct and nothing since but I know it takes time to regulate. Had CM 9-12 Nov and DTD around that time. No idea what to think now. Keep having dry mouth, had cramps and felt sick, funny taste in my mouth but who knows, it's so soon! POAS on CD29 but BFN. HMMM. Not doing ov tests so not sure what to expect but think I'm on CD32 now.

Pyjamas81 · 22/11/2016 14:11

Hello AF buddy kirsty! I only get AF for a couple of days, so at least it's over quickly! If we're lucky this time around - I'll be hopefully getting a BFP while visiting family abroad a few days before Christmas, now what a lovely present that would be! Would be so lovely to be able to tell my mum in person SmileAlthough, am not going to lie, I was hoping to be sporting a bump by Christmas, but what will be will be.

Welcome and good luck bluebel!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/11/2016 16:13

Hello and welcome bluebell! Always nice to have new passengers on the TTC train!

Pjs I do so much of that 'if it's this cycle, then...' mental calculation. I can't work out whether it's harmless and enjoyable speculation, or unnecessarily getting my hopes up!

bluebell17 · 22/11/2016 20:15

Thanks for the welcomes!

Pyjamas81 · 22/11/2016 21:42

I know Lisa, I do this every damn cycle!

Just emailed the Lister Clinic to ask for a couples consultation - at least the ball is rolling...

JeNeBaguetteRien · 22/11/2016 22:34

Sorry about AF Pjs - got me too.
Hope the clinic can give you an idea of what tests are available. DH is browsing some websites now - I'm pretty sure he's going to start POAS soon to feel involved Wink

Eva30 · 22/11/2016 22:37

pjs I'm not near London so no idea, sorry. And yes pjs and lisa I do that tooBlush I even hold off booking holidays thinking it will happen 'this cycle' every time. I look at due dates, think when I'll get my BFP and when I'll have the 12 week scan. Yep, I'm feeling like I've completely lost the plot.
Welcome bluebell and yes it may just take some time. mouse will tell you the despair at waiting 50 days on cycle 1 but it does regulate after a few
basset hoping it isn't AF on the way
I'm cd8 and patiently waiting for Ov. Will start opks on cd10. I started taking Pregnacare again this cycle. I wasn't a fan previously (back in the June cycle) but I'm giving it another go and hopefully will stick at it.

MouseLove · 22/11/2016 23:12

Welcome bluebell. My first cycle I POAS on CD36 - all the ladies here were surprised I lasted so long but I think I kinda knew it would be a miracle if I was preggers so quickly.

It can take a little while (up to 6 months) for any kind of regular cycle to appear and settle. So be patient, be positive and be prepared. My first cycle was 50 days long. I cried like a baby when AF showed up. I was sooooo happy and relieved.

FX for a short first cycle for you, don't waste too many tests as remember you have 9 months to wait for baby anyways. The few weeks now is just a little try of your patience.

Ladies, I'm having tender cramps. I'm CD18, 3DPO but I think AF might be making an appearance early/late/oh who knows. Sad

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/11/2016 08:37

On the planning, working out dates etc. - did anyone else see the main page thread 'Aibu to plan to not have a December baby' (or something like that?). I was annoyed by her 'we're going to start trying in January and IF I'm not pregnant by February' thing and I haven't even been trying long!

MouseLove · 23/11/2016 08:41

Saw it Lisa... decided I best not comment. Wink

Like so many posts on here that come across ungrateful I have to remember typed out words can come across differently than how intended sometimes. Sometimes however, I scratch my head.

Seahawk80 · 23/11/2016 09:23

Sorry for AF pjs good luck with the tests. I don't know any clinics to reccomend for tests but if you are anywhere near SE London and you do need to be reffered to somewhere on NHS try to go to Kings. I've found them brilliant. Hopefully you won't need to though!

All good here - feel like I'm in another TWW as having a private scan Monday as I've been a bit stressed about things being ok. Don't think I'll relax until at least 12 weeks!

The woman not wanting a December baby has a lot to learn about the fact that these things won't let you plan them (evil laugh)

WantingBaby1 · 23/11/2016 09:58

Cd 24 and had a terrible night, bad stomach pains and now backache. Woke up expecting af to have arrived 5 days early but nothing. Now.feeling headachy. This sucks :(

bassetmum · 23/11/2016 10:29

That doesn't sound please wanting. Hope it isnt the witch.

I can remember reading no end of threads about people trying not to have their babies in june, july or august because of them being the youngest in the academic years. I don't see why theres any problem with it.

I'm thinking my headache may have been a dehydration headache as I drank loads yesterday morning and it went away. Im still getting odd crampy pains but only on my left side. Also Ive been having memories of having vivid dreams but mot remembering what they were about. Must not symptom spot
