Hello hope you don't mind me joining in,I don't really know the correct lingo so bare with me ha ha
First month of trying today is day 18 of cycle, period due in 10-11 days.
Think I ovulated Saturday
Feeling sad as yesterday I started getting lower back ache and feeling tired which I normally get with pms :-(
Today I feel a tiny bit sick but only odd times so I think no chance this month.
My best friend last night announced "think il try for a baby this month"
You can bet your life she will be preg straight away
I'm trying not to be jealous but I can't help it.
All my friends just have to look at their bf and they are with child

Pyjamas81 · 23/11/2016 18:46

Hope your private scan goes well seahawk! Still waiting to hear back from clinic to book a time. Get my blood test results from GP tomorrow though - fingers crossed.

I've seen those posts about timing as well - I have to admit I did want to avoid being pregnant through summer as I detest summer at the best of times (yes I know, I'm a miserable summer Scrooge), but I'm definitely not putting anything off just for that. What will be will be!

I think AF has left the building now (hard to tell with mooncup in all day) - that's my AF's one redeeming feature, pretty symptomless and short! Will start the opks in a couple of days.

I've stuck with the pregnacare Eva - other than radioactive looking wee, hasn't seemed to affect anything else!

Piehunter · 23/11/2016 21:08

Sorry about AF pj's

I've got months where I'd rather not be heavily pregnant...! But we have very little say in all this so it seems crazy to get worked up about it.

Bit of a disaster this month, ended up in a&e today with acute urinary retention (wasn't able to pee for 14 hours!) and as it's the second time recently I've got a catheter in for a week- at home- I'm incredibly uncomfortable and on top of that I'm sad that it looks like we'll miss the majority of my FW Sad if it comes out next Weds and I can bear to have sex then there may be 2 days before I ov... But no guarantee. Feels like a waste of a month! And as a bonus they have no clue why this is the latest of weird things my body does Hmm

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/11/2016 08:01

So sorry that you're so ill and uncomfortable, pie. Hope you feel better as soon as possible. Are they doing tests to try to establish a cause?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/11/2016 08:04

And welcome user! If you ovulated on Sat then it's too soon for any symptoms so no reason to think that you're out this cycle (your first one!) yet - so it could be you who falls on the first go (and all of us who are jealous!)

bluebell17 · 24/11/2016 08:10

Hi all,

Well an update from me is that AF arrived on CD35. At least I've had AF come back as this is my first cycle off BC. Here's to next time!

Sorry to hear you are so unwell pie. Hope you feel better soon and they can get to the root of the problem.

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 08:28

Bluebell that's fab!!! My first cycle was 50 days. Shock

Pie so sorry you're having a bad time. My mother always told me that sex can cause problems down there, especially if you don't immediately go for a wee afterwards. It was probably one of the more embarrassing convos we've had. "Remember to go for a wee, especially if he's, you, know not using protection, but only do that if you want a baby" I remember it clearly. cringe. So it might be the waiting after that is doing some damage. Hmm

WantingBaby1 · 24/11/2016 08:39

Sorry to those who af has caught Flowers on the plus side you're probably good to have a few drinks at the Christmas party and not worry about colleagues suspecting anything!

No af here and still having weird cramps and feeling sick. Think I must have a bug. Way too early for anything pregnancy related unfortunately

Piehunter · 24/11/2016 08:43

Lisa no, they are not... The gp will refer next week hopefully for tests, but hospital tried to fob me off with it's a UTI (totally symptomless apart from not being able to pee..) to begin with, but there was no infection so that scuppered that idea for them, then they just went with "sometimes this just happens..." Hmm

bluebell that's a fab first cycle length. Good start!

mouse Grin love that!! There has been no waiting around, I give the lazy guys no chance, only the best that are strong enough to get there fast have a hope, ha!

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 09:04

Sorry to hear your feeling so rubbish Pie - hope you feel better soon.

What a great start bluebell!

Currently in GP waiting room waiting to get blood test results...

AF has gone though (2 days again if I don't count the light spotting on Monday night) - hurrah!

Seahawk80 · 24/11/2016 09:18

Good luck Pjs I'm always such a state waiting for results!

Pie sorry you're having such a bad time. Hope you get well soon x

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 09:36

Blood test normal and am ovulating! More tests to go but that's good news on a pretty fundamental part of everything! Hopefully will hear back from Lister Clinic today to get me and DH booked in. One less thing to worry about!

bassetmum · 24/11/2016 10:41

Well I think I am out. Just gone to the loo and got red blood on wiping. Oh well. Onto next month. Today would have been cd27 so its a a day earlier than last month. Onto next month I go.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/11/2016 10:47

Fab news pj - as you say, that's a pretty obvious hurdle passed!

I'm shocked they weren't immediately keen to investigate further, pie, but glad that the GP seems to be being more helpful.

I am a bit jealous of your AF, pjs - mine lasts around six days, with three days of very heavy flow and pretty horrible cramps to kick it all off. I loved not having periods while I was on the coil - the worst thing about TTC by far for me is having them back!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/11/2016 10:48

Sorry, took ages writing that so didn't see your post, mouse - really sorry about AF. Take a bit of time to indulge (wine/choc/whatever) and then onwards and upwards!

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 11:17

Ah boo - sorry to hear about AF Bassett - it's such a bitch. On to next month for both of us!

Yes Lisa - I'm very lucky with my AF! They've always been really short and pretty symptom free, just like my mum! 6 days sounds horrible Sad

Forgot to temp this morning which is annoying (got out of habit), but as so soon after AF I do t think it will make much difference.

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 11:21

Ah Lisa no you didn't miss anything. No AF for me. The opposite in fact. I think my ovaries were having a reawakening party. Hence the tummy pains. Shock My temps are still rising.

Seahawk80 · 24/11/2016 12:18

Sorry Bassett at least you can enjoy a nice boozy December!

PJs that's great news! A positive start to the tests Smile

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 13:33

Most certainly is seahawk! We've now got an appointment for 2nd Dec so not too long to wait Smile tests include ultrasound and AMH test for me, semen analysis for DH and discussion of results immediately afterwards - so no painful waiting for results!

Seahawk80 · 24/11/2016 13:52

Oh that's good - waiting is the worst!!

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 13:54

Although just realised that's right in my fertile week so will have to reschedule if no DTD allowed in run up to semen analysis!

Piehunter · 24/11/2016 15:04

pj's fab news on the bloods! And great that the clinic will give you results same day.

basset sorry AF got you, to the wine and chocolate!!

Lisa think that this happens more when you're already a bit broken, my body doesn't function normally in lots of ways! but this is new so I'd like to find out why, rather than go oh well another bit that doesn't work Grin

Thanks for the well wishes ladies!

Eva30 · 24/11/2016 15:22

basset sorry for AFFlowers
bluebell definitely off to a good start.
lisa sorry, sounds like you're having a real tough time of it.
pjs great news!! And I'm so impressed with your GP and how fast things are going! I don't want to go back to mine after how crap it was last time. Will force myself to by Feb if nothing happening.

Cd10 here and started doing opks today. Expect ov around cd15.

bassetmum · 24/11/2016 15:23

Thanks for the well wishes guys. This is the first month I have felt a tad disappointed it wasn't our month. Probably not helped by the horrific cramps I am currently dealing with.

Pjs sods law it will be your fw.

Hope you are feeling better soon pie.

Fx one of you remaining ladies gets a bfp this month feels like its been ages since this thread has had one. Maybe we will all be Christmas bfps (wishful thinking!!).

Pyjamas81 · 24/11/2016 15:47

Going private for the rest of the tests Eva - my GP is great, but I just want to get them all done as quickly and efficiently as possible!

They're going to email me some forms to fill in, so I'll reschedule the appointment then. Not missing out on fw if that's easy to fix!
