Wanting would it help if he thought your FW was over? Take some of the pressure off. Might be easy enough if he's not very clued up... wouldn't work with my DH who is fascinated and has learned all about periods ever since I got a mooncup!

Got a BFN this morning. CD29 and getting excited. Had no sign of AF. Peed on a stick and started spotting minutes later. Grr.

Oggy88 · 18/11/2016 13:14

Aw, sorry to hear, Baguette. Hope you have a back up plan Wine

Pretty good idea telling him your fw is over. I will have to remember that when I'm in a similar situation.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 18/11/2016 14:32

Sorry about AF, baguette. I have also done the 'test about 10 mins before it would have been obviously unnecessary' thing - so frustrating!

Oggy88 · 18/11/2016 15:38

Bah, why don't we have 12 ovaries?

Blissfulignorance · 18/11/2016 17:52

Sorry wanting I have no advice to add from what the others have said. Hope things get easier.
Sorry about AF baguette

So I'm now on cd 1 cycle 5 and feel rubbish. I was trying to be positive but after a horrendous night shift last night it was the last thing I wanted to wake up to today. Life sometimes can be so cruel.

KirstyinNorway · 18/11/2016 18:03

Gosh loads has happened since I've been away on my wee city break! I'll probably miss people off this but have read all and offering hugs wine and chocolate where needed.
Hi to all the new folk Smile
wanting that must be tough for you. I'm another one voting for bjs, get your OH right to the edge and then hop onboard (so to speak Blush) It might not be the most satisfying for you, but could always get you sorted first!
Sorry about AF baguette and bliss, I really feel for you both. I can only recommend that you both make a batch of Tori Haschka's skinny chocolate mousse (practically guilt free, only 3 ingredients and super easy to make) - they are divine and you should eat the entire batch yourselves.

I'm CD23 and don't feel preggo but bought 8 cheap-ish tests today. I'm due AF between CD26-28 and am considering taking one tomorrow just to see. Agh, I'm a nightmare. Why can't I just wait?!

KirstyinNorway · 18/11/2016 18:05

Sorry, I don't mean for the chocolate mousse suggestion to sound flippant. Really didn't intend it that way but read back and it came out wrong - are your OH's helping? Mine never knows what to say. I've ended up confiding in one friend only that were TTC and she is much more helpful. Can you chat to someone who will give you a hug and just listen?

TheCatsMother99 · 18/11/2016 18:20

So, I got impatient and took a first response as AF due in 4 days.... negative.

To be honest, I don't feel pregnant and I wasn't expecting to fall pregnant so quickly either (technically second month off pill but only the first since my first AF after pill).

I know you're not out till AF arrives but I'm actually ok with it. Posotive thinking says I can enjoy all the Christmas bits I've got planned with a glass of mulled wine or prosecco.

Next month will be a fresh start Smile

Jellybabie3 · 18/11/2016 20:12

Wanting i agree with others here -try not to let him know when you are most fertile. Thats the approach i am trying as as much OH wants a baby he gets agitated when its 'trying' to have one.
My AF arrived yesterday 21 days after finishing mini pill. I'm over the moon of course but am also aware not to put too much pressure on OH on fertile days although in my head its a different story. Lucky for me my predicted ovulation is our anniversary Grin so hopefully not too much wine so we get to dtd

Dixiechick1991 · 18/11/2016 23:18

Ugh it's only my 3rd cycle well now it's my 4th but getting AF hit me like a ton of bricks. I really feel for those ladies who've been TTC for years.
I really thought this might be the month but nope nope nope.
I just wanna sit and cry

JeNeBaguetteRien · 19/11/2016 07:30

Thanks ladies. Bad enough getting AF never mind these horrible cramps. I will have chocolate, always helps and Kirsty will try that mousse. I'll have to eat the whole batch, DH is a strange creature who doesn't really eat chocolate or cake! I'm going to meet friends for lunch today; haven't seen them in ages so will be good to catch up and take my mind off AF etc.
Onwards and upwards for a new cycle. Have a lovely weekend all.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/11/2016 09:28

Sorry about AF dixie. I think have a little cry if you want a little cry; this is tough and I think you get to wallow sometimes. But then, as baguette says, try and think of this as a new cycle and a new chance to conceive and try and see that as a positive - easier said than done, I know!

Day 3 of flashy face here - hoping for a static one soon, but not sure it's that imminent. No EWCM at all and it's been quite... present for the last two cycles.

Piehunter · 19/11/2016 09:45

Sorry AF arrived baguette, blissful and dixie we must be due some BFP's soon!! I see no harm in a bit of a cry, get it out of your system, I'm cd6 and still bleeding, but yesterday I was able to get my "new month, new chance" head on and felt ready to go at it all again.

KirstyinNorway · 19/11/2016 09:55

cats I got impatient and took POAS this morning. Negative, but I'm still 4 days away from AF and it was only a cheapie, so I'm still holding out. I'm trying to resist buying a FRER as they're £21 each here, and if I could just bloody wait 4 days, I'd have my answer! I'm so impatient.

Sorry about AF dixie, part of the reason you're devastated is probably your AF hormones, which won't be helping at all. Hope you feel better soon.

Keeping FX crossed for you lisa!

Yay for AF jelly, good luck for a November conception!

KirstyinNorway · 19/11/2016 09:57

Glad you're feeling positive, pie. Which cycle are you on now?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/11/2016 10:25

Fx for you too Kirsty - I know that feeling when four days feels like 100 years!

bassetmum · 19/11/2016 11:38

Well i walked into town today and felt queasy the whole way round. Still feeling queasy now. Im still a week from af so who knows what this is. Probably all in my head though.

My first cycle I tested early kirsty. I vowed never to do it again but we'll see.

Good for you pie. I think a positive mental attitude is a fab thing to have

OP posts:
Oggy88 · 19/11/2016 11:55

Gosh, I really admire you guys for not testing at 7dpo. As much as I tried, I just can't help it. At least I'm not getting too upset when I see bfns, guess I'm that used to them.

MoonlightMojitos · 19/11/2016 13:32

Just having a quick catch up ladies, sorry to see there haven't been any BFPs recently... surely that means there's a batch of them due soon! They always seem to come a few at a time so fx for you all. Welcome to all the newbies!

Here's my scan pic 12+3 :) time for us to start telling the world I think. I was really excited to before but now it's actually come to it I don't want to let the world in and burst our little bubble!

mouse good job on the opks how exciting for you to see how this cycle pans out now and have a hit more of an idea what's going on in there. Hope you're having a lovely break.

First time ttc - thread four
MrsG280516 · 19/11/2016 14:11

Well it looks like I'm now in the 2ww! Had positive OPKs CD10 and CD11, but this morning it's negative plus I've had a good temp increase. Didn't think I would ovulate this early but we'll go with it!

MouseLove · 19/11/2016 15:53

Oh Moonlight Smile that scan pic is beautiful. I can't believe you're 12 weeks already. You tell people when you're good and ready. My friends didn't until 20 weeks!! I can understand you're probably bursting.

Your lucky OPK are obviously working. Rome has made me ovulate it looks! Which has me feeling really happy. Knowing something is happening down there is a good sign. Grin

bassetmum · 19/11/2016 16:04

What a fantastic pic moonlights. Can't believe you are 12 weeks already. Only tell people when you are good and ready.

Looks like Mother Nature has picked a good thing for you mouse.

Welcome to the tww mrsG. Im definitely starting to go crazy with mine. Queasiness on and off all day and a sharp stabbing pain every now and then on the left side of my abdomen, feels not too far from where I had ovulation pain on that side.

Where abouts in your cycle are you oggy? You've probably said but Ive forgotten

OP posts:
LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/11/2016 16:34

Congratulations, moonlight - lovely picture. You must be so excited now that it feels so real!

Oggy88 · 19/11/2016 19:17

Wow, Moonlight, what a photogenic little creature you've got there! :) it's amazing how it takes only 12 weeks for cells to turn into a tiny little human! Beautiful :)

I'm only on CD6, Basset, but can't wait to start poas. Got tons of ICs this month, so I am going to pee my heart out (Confused) Grin

Fx for a little Luigi bean, Mouse! Hope the chanting worked! Grin

AF finally gone (she always stays around 5-6 days...grrr!) so I can finally get some action. It was getting lonely down there haha! Super excited this month. Seems like lots of ladies are testing just before Xmas, can't wait to see who takes home some bfps. The best part is, even if it doesn't happen this month for me, I'll be pretty happy to be able to enjoy all the festive bits. Life is good!

P.S. yes, I'm a tiny bit tipsy, Xmas market is finally open over here Grin

Eva30 · 19/11/2016 19:24

What a cute little pic there moonlight can't believe it's been 12 weeks already, it probably felt like forever for you though!

I've been snowed under at work so hardly been on and a bit out of the loop. A job has come up which I'm interested in but wary to apply because I keep thinking if I get pg soon it'll be bad timing. And my notice period is 3 months. I know I shouldn't plan my life around TTC but I do.

I'm on cd5 now, AF has buggered off so gearing up for another month of going at it! Went on a couples night last night and had too much wine so I've barely moved of the sofa today. Diet went to shit and we ordered Pizza Hut. Oops.

How is everyone doing? So who is nearing the end of tww? We need some BFP's soon, it's been too long. kirsty, bassett

Great news mouse, fingers crossed
lisa hope there's a static one soon
Sorry for those AF got
