LisaSimpsonsbff · 16/11/2016 15:18

Great stuff, Mouse - amazing how quickly the levels have risen!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 16/11/2016 15:19

Oh, and hello N1 (I thought that was the least confusing way to shorten your name!)

Piehunter · 16/11/2016 21:21

mouse sorry, I wasn't saying it wasn't good! I was genuinely curious. I've only done opks from cd10 - on my first time using them and not a clue when I would ov. At cd10 I had a faint line. Today's looks like it'll be positive soon, worth doing at least twice a day until you get your positive once it gets darker Smile I tend to do sometime between 11-4 and then one between 6-10.

MouseLove · 16/11/2016 21:34

Oh no pie I didn't take it like that Grin

I'm now wondering if I missed my surge (at least with OPK anyways) as tonight's was back faint again. I was drinking water with my meal though. Hmmmm.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 17/11/2016 07:47

Flashing smiley on the OPK and deed done (DH in late for a training session today). Come on this cycle...

Oggy88 · 17/11/2016 08:16

So jealous of all your positive opks and fws! Still at the boring stage - cd4. TWW is not two weeks at all! More like four! Bleh. But glad at least someone out there is getting some action.

WantingBaby1 · 17/11/2016 08:37

FX for you Mouse! I got a positive on my OPK last night so we might be testing at the time time :)

bassetmum · 17/11/2016 09:19

Good luck to all you ladies dtd this week. Looks like there are a lot of you due to ovulate around the same time. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot.

I think Ive found my tww distraction. I am fed up of not being able to get on top of the housework. My place is a right mess atm. Both me and oh work full time and with the puppy Ive got lazy. So im going to try the flylady approach to cleaning and decluttering my house. Anybody got any tips on keeping on top of it?

Oggy88 · 17/11/2016 09:35

In the same boat, Basset. House-wise. I would normally do deep clean every Saturday, but it's difficult staying disciplined about it. Takes about 2-3 hours every time talking myself into starting it every time feels like a chore on its own. The problem is, it's not optional for me. I sew quite often and if I skip even one week (which I sometimes do), the amount of dust that can accumulate is just incredible.

Piehunter · 17/11/2016 09:43

mouse last cycle was the first one I actually saw my surge on, mostly I get a nearly positive and then it goes down again. Ideally opks should be done after a 4 hour hold (or 2 with v little drinking), I'd probably keep going for a couple more days to make sure? What CD was yesterday? Questions, questions!

I've been in a cleaning frenzy for the last week or so, the end reward of things being clean and tidy is worth it (til DH decides to renovate guitars in the kitchen... Grrr!) great tww distraction oggy and basset

Oggy88 · 17/11/2016 10:27

Mine is not allowed to step into kitchen, mouse, let alone renovate his freakin' guitars! Grin

Oggy88 · 17/11/2016 10:28

Pie, that is GrinGrinGrin

Piehunter · 17/11/2016 11:24

But how does he do the washing up oggy?! Grin

Oggy88 · 17/11/2016 11:43

Hahaha! That's the only exception Grin (He actually does it if I cook, bless him Grin)

TheCatsMother99 · 17/11/2016 18:01

Good luck to those in their fw. Really hope this month is THE month.

Keep your house declutteted?! Hmm. I don't actually have OCD but I'm probably not far from it, I hate clutter, it stresses me out. I also can't bear to sit and look at stuff that isn't neat and tidy, at the correct angle etc. So maybe you need a bit of whatever I've got?

I hope that if I have kids I will chill out a bit as it's exhausting. My house is pretty minimal in terms of decor and clutter so it'll be a big change with kids that I will have to learn to adapt to.

I am quite brutal when it comes to getting rid of stuff. Only realistic suggestion I've got is to go room to room and be brutal about when you last used something and whether you'll actually use it again. I have got a cleaner as well but it's not that I don't have time to clean, it's to stop me being resentful of my DH who is incredibly messy (in my eyes) and does no cleaning at all. Otherwise, blitz all bathrooms in one day, then another day you can do kitchen and another day do all other cleaning. Break it down so you're not solidly working at it foe hours.

MouseLove · 17/11/2016 19:26

So here's some crappy pictures pie lol. I'm pretty sure I surged yesterday (CD12). I DTD on CD8 and 11. And today if I'm lucky.

First time ttc - thread four
Piehunter · 17/11/2016 20:15

mouse Yay pics! Yep, looks like you just missed the peak on cd12, which means days 8 and 11 are perfect, apparently waiting sperm are the best (because they're patient?! Grin) so dtd before ov is fab, obviously opk can peak up to 48 hours before ov, so still worth another for luck! I can tell when I ov from majorly sore boobs, day after peak opk. ROME CONCEPTION Wink get on it!

WantingBaby1 · 18/11/2016 07:29

So my ovulation stick showed a surge on Wednesday. Dtd Wednesday eve and tried to again last night but DH wasn't up to it :( now I feel irrationally weepy. He's said we can try again tonight but I'm worried he will put too much pressure on himself and won't be able to perform.

Does anyone else have this trouble? How do I help him? Feeling so down right now.

MrsG280516 · 18/11/2016 10:01

Wanting its hard to answer because everyone is different, some men feel the pressure more than others. Maybe just try to make it fun? Concentrate on him and make sure he is enjoying it, put some nice undies on and I'm sure he'll be fine.

Oggy88 · 18/11/2016 10:27

Wanting that's exactly what I was afraid of from the very beginning, that it will stress out my DH too much. I'm trying not to talk about ttc at all with him, he knows nothing about fws and when I o. So all I do is get a bit playful with him, and it's mostly him who initiates dtd (or at least that's what he thinks). Me being crazy is enough, we need a sane person in our relationship as well!

WantingBaby1 · 18/11/2016 10:28

Thanks Mrs.

Difficulty is he's raring to go for the lead up, and enjoys foreplay and is totally fine, but when the crucial moment comes he gets panicked and can't perform. Then when we go back to foreplay he's totally fine again. I get that it's huge pressure and I do everything I can to relax him. Last night ended with him blaming himself that we won't get pregnant this month.

Hopefully we'll try again tonight and I won't be too late this month.

bassetmum · 18/11/2016 11:03

Wanting I can imagine how hard it must be for our partners. Have you tried just having a night for him, nice undies, try a bj (only if your comfortable doing that) etc. Maybe try somewhere new like a naughty shower or bath? My OH felt so guilty after the foot cramp saga the other night.

OP posts:
Oggy88 · 18/11/2016 11:09

Wanting, maybe a glass of wine will relax him?

WantingBaby1 · 18/11/2016 11:51

Thanks for the tips ladies.

Have to say I've done all of them but for the shower - will give that a try!

He's ready for action throughout all the foreplay, but the minute he enters he gets worried and things stop Confused
