Awww what a cruel dream!!! Very jealous of your rabbits though - I've always fancied having house rabbits!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 15/11/2016 09:09

Thanks for the nice messages - feeling OK again this morning. I think I'm in a slightly different boat to some of you because even before TTC it was sometimes a point of tension that DH wanted sex less than me, particularly during the week (to be fair, he's a teacher, gets up quite a lot earlier than me most days and is just generally exhausted for a lot of the school year!). He's so enthusiastic about TTC - I've always been the more ambivalent one - and seems genuinely interested in CM, OPKs, etc. I just got a bit frustrated last night because that's all great and lovely but we're not going to have a baby if we just talk about it! I also know I'm putting too much pressure on this cycle because for the last two I've been away with work for at least some of my fertile time. I go away quite often so I'm feeling the pressure to maximise opportunity in months where work isn't in the way!

Blissfulignorance · 15/11/2016 09:18

Feel better Lisa I know the feeling my DH is a teacher too. He's tired all week!

What a dream Kirsty I've two dreams about getting a BFP so I convinced myself I was did a test this morning of course it's BFN. I ate a chocolate bar for breakfast and I'm not even sorry.

AF due Friday but I know it's not my month. I've had my usual mood swings, boobs are normal now. Spots are insane. Feel like giving the middle finger to TTC.

Seahawk80 · 15/11/2016 10:19

Thanks pie and sorry for AF, have lots of wine while you can! Fx this is your month.

Lisa I know how you feel, I got really upset one morning when DH was too hungover to 'finish' as it were. It's easier said than done staying lighthearted about it

Had my second scan today - all fine and saw the heartbeat! It took them ages to see it though and at first they said the sac was empty and started discussing what happened next, then she suddenly stopped and said I can see something. I felt awful for the doctor as she was obviously mortified she'd got it wrong. Am a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment but so glad it's ok!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 15/11/2016 10:49

What fantastic news, Seahawk! So sorry you had to go through that awful moment when the doctor was wrong, but you must be feeling fantastic now!

BloodSweatTears · 15/11/2016 11:37

Morning everyone - may I join??

TTC our first, and experiencing my first 2WW - exciting and terrifying all at once! Am sure as time goes on I'll get used to the pattern, but right now it's just playing on my mind all the time... so much for being laid back about it!!

I've been lurking on Mumsnet for months but have decided to jump on in and start contributing, I imagine my work productive will plummet from here!

user1479210122 · 15/11/2016 11:48

Hello everyone.
Can I join in please
Trying for first baby and in first month
Terrified
My last period was 5th November so according to aps my fertile time is coming up.
I really want a baby and worried I might be infertile.
My periods are every 29 days and every cycle starting day 11-12 I get lots of clear stretchy egg whitey mucus so I'm assuming I ovulate.
I'm not expecting to get pregnant straight away but I just hope I can eventually

MrsG280516 · 15/11/2016 12:04

I think everyone worries about being infertile when they are first TTC, please don't let it affect you too much though. As long as you are taking your supplements (folic acid is a must as a bare minimum) and preparing your body to conceive then other than that you really don't have any control over it. Stress can make TTC harder and can mess with your cycle so its best to try to be as relaxed as possible.

user1479210122 · 15/11/2016 12:44

Yes just started taking supplements .
I'm 30 nearly 31 and all my friends had kids 20/21 and tell me they would hate to have children this late.
I don't feel old..I'm worried being 30 will of meant my fertility isn't what it once was.
I'm not charting or anything I'm just going to go for it and see if anything happens.

Eva30 · 15/11/2016 15:06

Oooo hello lots of joiners, welcome! catrash oggy bloodsweattears user
blissful so sorry for the BFN, lol at the chocolate bar for breakfast, that sounds like a fair response to a bfnGrin
lisa I get peevd at DH if he says no during FW, like an uncontrollable rage haha, then I wake up on the morning and I'm like Who was that last nightBlush we DTD before work yesterday and that never ever happens!
seahawk I thought of you this morning. wonderful news about the scan, how precious hearing a heart beatSmile

AF arrived for me today, as expected. On to cycle 8 I go, I'm trying to resist cake and wine on this damn slimming world!!! A muller light just isn't hitting the spot...

Seahawk80 · 15/11/2016 15:32

Ohh Eva you saying muller light has given me a craving for mullerrice - don't even know if they still exist!

bassetmum · 15/11/2016 16:21

Seahawk mullerrice do still exist. Ive got some in the fridge.

Another dilemma has cropped up. My sister has invited me to do a pretty muddy next june obviously its a big unknown whether I'll be in a fit state to do it lol. Need an excuse to say no.

Eva sorry af got you.

Hi to the newbies joining us. Is anyone else at the start of the tww ?

OP posts:
TheCatsMother99 · 15/11/2016 17:55

Hello all the new joiners! Smile

I'm in my tww and being the impatient so and so that I am, I've gone and bought myself a test which you can apparently do up to 5 days before a missed period even though I have the Internet cheapies I could just wait to use. So will do one of those at the weekend.

Sorry to all those out this month or who know AF is making an appearance. Fresh start though and new opportunities!

Oggy88 · 15/11/2016 18:30

Speaking of internet cheapies, I ordered some the other day without really looking at how many there was. Well. Just got home to find 50 of them. 50! This will be the month of POAS. From 6dpo Grin Heck, I could even start now at CD3...

Seahawk80 · 15/11/2016 19:26

Sorry for AF eva Flowers sorry I forgot to say that earlier - was distracted by the mullerice! Hope you've found something slimming world friendly to hit the spot!

Pyjamas81 · 15/11/2016 22:18

I've been a bit quiet lately - work is so busy! Sorry about AF Eva - perhaps a slimline g&t? And so pleased about your scan Seahawk - brilliant news! And welcome to the newbies as well!

CD21 over and not a sniff of a symptom, but as I don't really know when I ovulated and haven't been tracking anything, I'm not too fussed. Blood test tomorrow - hopefully that'll tell me if/when I ovulated so I'll know when to test!

BloodSweatTears · 15/11/2016 22:29

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Bassetmum, I've just started my 2ww after ovulating on Sunday, feeling like it's going to be a long two weeks. We managed to do the deed Saturday and Sunday so we'll see....
What about you? X

JeNeBaguetteRien · 15/11/2016 22:39

Eva hope you can outrun teh witch next month!

Seahawk so glad it went well, go find some Muller rice.

Basset you have to say yes to the pretty muddy, you know how it works, you have to plan things that would not be possible/not a good idea when PG so that it can be sod's law that you become upduffed.

Pjs good luck with the blood test, I had mine this week. Had to run like the clappers out of work at lunchtime - suppose exercise is good for TTC. Hope you get a good result but if not it's a starting point for further investigation. I won't hear anything until DH gets SA done and we'll get results together.

MouseLove · 15/11/2016 22:59

Sorry for AF ladies. Flowers

I got a very faint OPK today. FX I might ovulate this cycle!!! DTD tonight Wink

First time ttc - thread four
JeNeBaguetteRien · 15/11/2016 23:14

Get some practice in for Rome Mouse!

Piehunter · 15/11/2016 23:39

mouse I thought it was normal to always have a faint opk Confused I've never had one where I can't see any line at all, is that not the case in other people's experience? Interested..

Sorry about AF Eva, onto the next..! Flowers

seahawk flipping heck!! Can't believe they missed that, glad it all turned out OK, you poor thing that must've been stressful! Fx all continues perfectly

pj's sounds like the relaxed cycle is living up to it's name Smile

blissful sorry about the bfn, to the chocolate, good plan!

Hello to all the newbies!

I had a really fantastic hospital appointment today with my haematology team and I'm feeling really reassured about my pre conception and antenatal care with an autoimmune condition that amongst other day to day stuff causes a much increased risk of miscarriage, as well as pre-eclampsia and other wonderfulness.. It was meant to be sorted in August but I ended up seeing a horrible consultant who was really rude and unprofessional. Such a relief not to be winging it when I get my bfp, and looks like increased monitoring even before that.

MouseLove · 16/11/2016 08:19

Nope pie, I've never had a line before. Some people have lines all the time if they know they are ovulating, regular cycles, etc. Last cycle I had none which probably means I didn't ovulate or my body wasn't producing the goods. So a faint line for me means something is happening. This is a good sign for me.

TheCatsMother99 · 16/11/2016 08:39

Good news mouse. I'm like you in that I wasn't getting a second line at all but then got one which slowly got a darker and darker over the days so was pleased that something was happening at least!

bassetmum · 16/11/2016 08:49

I think its a good sign mouse. Get practising dtd in preparation Wink

Pie sounds like you got some good news from the drs there. Fx for you.

Well cd 19 today and Ive just had a really sharp shooting pain in my left boob and abdomen. Who knows what that means haha
