Well I feel sick now. Just looked out into my garden and there were three rats just sat there. Came up through the patio. Gross Envy

Im not daft enough to not think that being in a victorian terrace in town that there wouldnt be rats (especially after finding one in my kitchen in February - at least oh now believes me it was a rat and not a mouse). But its still gross.

Congrats seahawk!!!

mouse it did sound like ov the other day with the symptoms you were having so maybe you've just missed it and are now in 2ww which is why opks negative (sorry they took so long btw... blame on me if you missed it lol). I think most people on MN are quite mean tbh once you step out the ttc section lol. I posted a question about my job recently in the work section and got slated and made to feel so stupid, won't be doing that again!

MoonlightMojitos · 30/10/2016 10:39

Ew basset that's gross. I imagine them from your description just sat there relaxing on the patio like "what's she looking at" 😂

LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/10/2016 10:55

Just catching up on thread after hectic work week - congrats Seahawk! Lovely news!

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 10:58

Agh no to rats basset, there's a nest (ick ick ick) at one of the lakes in our nearest city. They're not scared of people walking nearby - pavement is above their spot and cannot be reached by humans so they must feel safe. Spotted them when I was with my Mum and she said "Oh, they look lovely! All plump and shiny, very clean for a rat!"

Could hardly believe my ears.

Time to remove any bird feeders you have out in the garden and plant loads of mint around the edge of your plot.

Heatherbaby · 30/10/2016 11:15

mouse and moonlight I agree when you read the other boards on MN outside of TTC the tone does change and there don't seem to be threads like this one with everyone supporting each other and familiar names!

basset I don't live in a city and have never had to experience a rat in my house or garden (yet). I'd be terrified!! They are gross! Time to call the pest control (do the local council provide one?)

mrsG travelling the next morning with a massive hangover is the worst I can't drink like I used to, it makes me so ill the next day regardless of the precautions I take!

ohmoll and eva good luck with FW wishing you lots of baby dust!

I woke up at about 6am (now 5amConfused) and needed to pee so thought I'd use my second clear blue early response. Was a BFN. I'm due AF is 2 days going by the longest possible cycle length for me on 31days. At first I thought it may be a squinter but it was so doubtful and my DH couldn't see anything so I think it was just wishful thinking on my part!

I have one Lloyd's pharmacy one left but thinking of sending DH out to grab me a FRER what do you guys think? It's so hard to be patient for 2 days to wait for AF!

I really wanted wait until AF due date to begin testing but it turns out that's much easier said than done. Also, as I explained to DH it's kind of fun being able to test, get a BFN and still believe you have a chance!

Blissfulignorance · 30/10/2016 11:40

Oh no basset! I'd be terrified!

Heather I have no will power so I'd definitely be buying a FRER if there was even a hint of a squinter on the first test.

First day of FW for me, already impatient and want to POAS. So crazy I know Confused

Blissfulignorance · 30/10/2016 11:41

Also mrsg last time I travelled on a hangover DH had to pull over at every services for either vomiting or chicken nuggets. I feel you pain!

Seahawk80 · 30/10/2016 12:32

Sorry for BFN heather I'm really impatient so I'd go with a FRER!

bassett poor you, are you in London? We had rats eat through the bottom of our old garden shed (my fault for leaving bird fat balls in a cardboard box) and my friend had them under her floorboards! 😷

Good luck with the hangover mrsg I was hanging this time last week! One benefit of no more drinking I guess, although I'm the worst puker with a hangover so I'm just waiting for awful morning sickness to kick in!

pjs hopefully I've given you hope on the old granny front too, I'll be 36 in 6 weeks! Eek!

Seahawk80 · 30/10/2016 13:30

Ps totally know what you mean about other forums - some people are so mean Shock

MouseLove · 30/10/2016 15:14

Soooooooo FF thinks I ovulated 5 days ago on CD40 excatly when I had all that EWCM and weird low down pains. My crosshairs popped up this morning. ( I previously had crosshairs on CD23 but FF removed them a few days later saying it wasn't confident the data was correct lol.

I think a silly 3am temp on day 42 threw it out a little which is why it's taken 5 days. Although my temps are not stable so I'm not taking it as gospel. Looks like if AF isn't here in another 2 weeks I'll be POAS again.

MrsG280516 · 30/10/2016 15:27

Oooh that's exciting Mouse! Welcome to the 2ww!

19Laura88 · 30/10/2016 16:57

i just want to recommend to people too, this is the first month I used pre-seed fertility lube, we usually use a normal lube but during my fertile few days we started to use pre seed, quite expensive but I got my BFP this month, whether it had anything to do with it I don't know but it was good lube 😊

Heatherbaby · 30/10/2016 18:17

19laura88 it's funny you say that as I've read very positive things about preseed. Whenever I Google it is see different packaging and brands. Which one did you use and where did you buy it please Smile

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 18:24

Hmm, wondered about preseed myself. Ditto Heather's question!
TMI but we use durex play 2-in-1 pretty much every time we DTD and can't find any info about whether it contains spermicide or not. Wonder if it is working against us?

MrsG280516 · 30/10/2016 18:29

Durex probably doesn't have spermicide in it but it's recommended not to use lube because it can make it more difficult for the sperm to swim to the egg I think. So special lubes like Preseed are more watery rather than sticky.

bassetmum · 30/10/2016 18:43

I can't offer any help with lube. I haven't got any experience of any.

No I don't live in London, I am in a market town in the east mids. The slab joint filling stuff seems to not have moved since we laid before midday. We have been out all afternoon so no idea if our rodent visitors came back but no sign. Although we must look like right numptys carrying the puppy over the patio as we don't want her getting the filler on her paws.

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 18:50

Thanks mrsG, had a google on my local chemist and they have some Conceive Plus lubricant soi'll probably pick some up tomorrow. It even has a picture of a baby on the front to get us in the mood Confused

Eva30 · 30/10/2016 19:15

mouse that's exciting! Have you got some DTD in around the time it's saying you Ov?

heather sorry for the BFN. I am the most impatient. I'm determined to wait til AF is due this month but I haven't managed it in the previous 6 cycle so we'll see!

I do not like the sound of the other MN boards outside of here Confused

blissful good luck for FW!
lisa how are you getting on?
moonlight are you further along than you were last time now? Are you anymore relaxed? Hope all is going well

I'm pretty sure I had ov pain this afternoon. Dtd this morning and will be off to bed soon Wink laura brill, I've got some I will try!

Blissfulignorance · 30/10/2016 19:28

Never heard of preseed so staying tuned for the answer to that! But after a 2 minute google I found this ... www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/conceive-plus-45-fertility-lubricant-75ml

Pricey though ....

Pyjamas81 · 30/10/2016 19:48

We've used conceive plus and Preseed - have to say I prefer the Preseed consistency. No BFP but at least it makes those dtd marathons easier!

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 19:50

That's what my pharmacy here sell, blissful. It's the equivalent of £25 here, sigh.

MouseLove · 30/10/2016 19:51

Eva yes I do have DTD time around Ov luckily. The day before and 3 days before. Obviously I had no idea at the time I just saw loads of EWCM and thought oh heck!! Of course that's if I actually did ovulate.

I feel like I'm getting a cold. Tummy ache on and off, thick throat and muggy head. Sad DH is super nervous about my blood results tomorrow. I've just pushed it out of my mind.

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 19:53

Sending good vibes for tomorrow, Eva 🍀

KirstyinNorway · 30/10/2016 19:54

Sorry, that was actually meant to read mouse! Although good luck for of too Eva!
