Hi Everyone,

Firstly sorry for radio silence and hello to everyone new (I was quite regular on the previous thread) I had a bit of a rubbish time worrying about TTC after being diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries. I joined a thread about it and some people were really struggling to conceive which scared me. I was also having a rubbish time at work after moving departments which was my decision so I felt bad about that plus we're having problems with the neighbours above us having wooden flooring which causes noise. So I was feeling very sorry for myself and haven't been on here.

I've just had a mammoth catch up.

Mouse I've been there with a 60 day cycle, it is the absolute worst!

Hi to everyone else and sorry for AF bassett

eva a belated thank you for the virtual hug you sent me last time I was moaning on here!

Congrats Laura and Mojitos so glad you're past the danger point Grin

Anyway this month we didtched the opks and DTD as close to every other day as poss. I had a

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 19:42

Sorry posted too early! I had an appt 11 days ago for an ovary scan which showed that they were looking better and I have ovulated. They said I would prob have af soon and I didn't think I had a tww as they said that. Anyway I was late, which means nothing with my cycles but also cycling to work my boobs were agony everytime I went over a bump. It's not a normal pre AF sign for me so this morning I thought what the hell ill poas. And you guessed it, just when I thought it wasn't possible..

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 19:44

BFP!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 29/10/2016 19:44

Hi Seahawk,
I was diagnosed with pcos a a few months ago after no luck, I was started on metformin and then this month I've had a bfp!! So there's definitely hope for you too! FlowersFlowersxxx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 29/10/2016 19:46

Ooh wowwwww!!!
I wasn't expecting that after reading your first post!!
Congrats lovely FlowersFlowersxx

Blissfulignorance · 29/10/2016 19:53

Congratulations Seahawk! Thats bloody brilliant! Yey!

bassetmum · 29/10/2016 19:56

Wow fantastic news seahawk. I'm so happy you have got your bfp.

MouseLove · 29/10/2016 19:59

OMG SEAHAWK!!!!!! Yasssssssss
Congratulations. I was wondering where you had disappeared to. Obviously being erm busy. Wink

I have my bloods back on Monday for my back/pelvis/joints problem and I have a feeling it might answer why my temps have been all over the show and maybe why I'm having a longer cycle (well that last one is a fingers crossed answer lol) I'm guessing an OPK would pick up pregnancy wouldn't it? I Did one this morning and a solid single line. No sniff of a second line!! Hmm

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 20:25

Thanks everyone. It doesn't feel real and I'm a bit worried they didn't pick anything up at the scan. But that wasn't what they were looking for and it would have been so early so I'm trying to not worry.

I know everyone says this but it did happen when I least expected it.

Hope it goes well at the doctors mouse I did find it helpful once they knew what was wrong with me as at least you can start treatment. I think an opk does pick up if you are pg, sorry Flowers

KirstyinNorway · 29/10/2016 20:27

Hello and big congrats seahawk! It sounds like it was a long time coming. You must be over the moon!

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 20:29

Thanks littlemiss did you carry on taking metformin after your BFP? Can't believe it worked!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 29/10/2016 20:37

Yeahh I'm still taking it now, I've been advised to carry on taking it until I'm 12 weeks. Anything for an easier pregnancy :) xx

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 20:43

Thanks Kirsty it's been about 7 months with crazy cycles all over the place so really am over the moon - and in shock!

Thanks Littlemiss I was going to carry on as have a drs appt Friday so I'll ask her then. It was meant to be a follow up to my fertility appt so won't be what she was expecting!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 29/10/2016 20:46

Just shows it works then if we have both had bfp on the metformin :) xx

Eva30 · 29/10/2016 21:53

Thanks hellsbellsWink I have everything crossed for you

seahawk!!!!!!! That's bloody amazing, congratulations lovelyFlowersFlowers yes I remember last time I saw you on here you were really fed up and I really felt for you. I'm over the moon for you!!

Heatherbaby · 29/10/2016 22:05

Hi everyone

Congrats seahawk so lovely to hear your good news. The thread is doing well Grin best wishes for your pregnancy

Despite promising myself and DH that's I'd wait...with all the good news on the boards this weekend I thought I'd try poas- it was a BFN. I am 3 days away from AF being due.i took a clear blue early test and there isn't even a squinted so I'm thinking I'm out?

I don't feel too disappointed because I have been more of a sceptic than a believer for my first month TTC. Plus I've been thinking that it wouldn't be the worth thing if I had a few more months to sort my adult life out. Think I should gracefully await AF now Halo

MouseLove · 29/10/2016 22:07

Bloody hell. Just popped over to the pregnancy boards for a little hormonal reading. SAVAGES!!!! Wow those women are brutal. You lot are like virginal saints in comparison. I'm kinda glad I'm here lol
Shock

I've been googling again. I should be locked up. But I'm pretty sure my temps are lower than they should be for normal and that points to a thyroid issue. Hate to say this but I can't wait for Monday morning and getting my results.

Seahawk80 · 29/10/2016 23:10

Thanks Eva things have been a bit better recently with work so things are def on the up. Hope you get a bfp soon. I'll be sticking around for a while anyway. Don't feel ready to move on yet.

Thanks Heather sounds like you have a good attitude. I was gutted when things didn't happen straight away. It now I'm pleased as I will have completed my years probation in my new dept which means they would have to have me back after mat leave. Sometimes these things just work out.

Mouse step away from the google! (Having said that I've been googling all day)! Grin

Pyjamas81 · 30/10/2016 08:44

Woooowwweeeeeee - lots of news on this board! Congrats to all the BFPs!! And seahawk - we're ditching the opks this month and trying for every other day instead - you've given me some hope!

Great opk result Eva - get to it!

Loving all the crochet projects on here Smile I learned how rondo a granny square yesterday and have started making a scarf to practice my double, half and treble stitches Smile

bassetmum · 30/10/2016 08:48

Mouse step away from google (the old pot and kettle phrase comes to mind, I hope no one is tracking my google history Confused). I do have my fx that you get some answers on Monday.

Of course you can stay around seahawk. Its weird how things work out with work and personal lives.

Heather as the old adage says you are not out till the witch rears her ugly head. Plus from what Ive found even the clear blue early tests aren't as sensitive as frers.

Going to treat myself to a mcds breakfast this morning because why not. I'm also amazed my puppy survived the change in the clocks and didn't get us up at the new 6 am.

OP posts:
bassetmum · 30/10/2016 08:50

Pjs missed your post. Looks like you are getting the hang of crochet. May I ask did you and your oh discuss dtd every other day? Or are you just going to "suggest" it?

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 30/10/2016 08:56

DH and I discussed it basset - I raised it as an option this month and he was more than happy to try it that way! The every other day then three days in a row is a real struggle for both of us and it takes all the fun out of it. By the third day, I'd literally rather do anything else - sounds terrible, but neither of us have high libidos!

OHMoll · 30/10/2016 09:10

Morning ladies! Been hectic few days. Today is first day of fertile window. Trying to work out how me and DH can sneak in a session when my brother and nephew is staying with us!! DH is worried on someone barging in!! Lol oh the joys. Think we will try every other day too and see. Last AF cycle was completely different to my previous so we will see this month. Good luck ladies 🍀

MrsG280516 · 30/10/2016 09:31

Morning everyone, just catching up on the thread, I had farrrrrr too much wine at a wedding last night and regretting it as we have a 3 hour drive back home very soon Sad

HellsBellsK · 30/10/2016 09:46
