Hi everyone! Back after two years! Time to ttc #2. Pill free for two weeks now. Was all over mumsnet in 2014 and "met" some wonderful people so hoping for the same experience to get me through the crazy emotional time of dpo, bfns, DTD, poas and ultimately lots of bfp happy news!

Tommygirl10 · 29/09/2016 18:53

Hey all! Fingers crossed for you Kaisha! Welcome oaty! 👋🏻 Well af got me this morning so I'm out for this cycle. On a positive note cycle is slightly shorter, so onwards and upwards to next cycle! Good luck to all you tww'ers! I'm very jealous but also glad to see af because I want and need to lose some weight now and now I know I'm out I can get back out running again x

MoonlightMojitos · 29/09/2016 20:49

Welcome newbies! We've had a few BFPs lately so fx this thread is lucky for you.

Ok, don't judge me. I am a crazed poas addict. I've just been worrying so much. And I've been so so ill with a cold today (a mega cold from hell) and feeling very sorry for myself so I went and got another 2 pack of cb digis. Just done one and it was 2-3 weeks so alot happier now that things seem to be progressing as they should.

johno how are you doing today? Is it tomorrow you were going to test?

Sorry for af tommy but good job on the motivation to get out running!

Ps I hope you guys don't mind that I plan on staying around for a very long time yet!

MouseLove · 29/09/2016 20:52

Ps I hope you don't mind mojitos but we're gonna use you as a symptom guru and we expect all the juicy details Wink

So when do you think you conceived then?? Did you say 4 weeks ago??

Tommygirl10 · 29/09/2016 21:53

I have to lose this baby weight before the baby mojito lol. So glad you are sticking around x

MoonlightMojitos · 29/09/2016 22:21

2 weeks ago today that I ovulated mouse, so 4 weeks "pregnant" by the way they actually date it :). No symptoms today, all being masked by the awful cold! I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing that I can't analyse every tiny thing. I've told dp now :). He's so happy obviously but very anxious too, especially with my cold he asked me to go to the doctors about it Hmm I expect they'd laugh me away with a cold. Also told mum and 1 BFF. I didn't last long!

MouseLove · 29/09/2016 23:02

Oh Mojitos!! Haha. I'm glad you have people in the know now. I'm not sure how I'd hold out too hahaha. Me and DH will probably POAS together so he would know the outcome probably before me (I'd be hiding behind my hands lol). I'd be an absolute mess if I had to tell him afterwards so props girl, you have bigger balls than me GrinGrinGrin

Wow so 2 weeks since you ovulated. That's soooo cool. I think it's fascinating you know already!! Isn't science awesome!!?

BoBo90 · 29/09/2016 23:04

I'm good at not telling people things so our bfp will be kept just between us for at least the first twelve weeks ☺️

Sorry to those with af visiting!

Jacky could be implantation?? If it doesn't turn into full blown af test again in a few days 😊

Welcome oaty and pebbles I will add you to the list when I get chance to catch up on everyone's info 😄

Glad you are sticking around moonlight... I'm with mouse, the more juicy details the better and loving the poas action.
Anyway isn't a cold a symptom in itself?

Still no news here except I got some spots....🙄

JackiePaper · 30/09/2016 07:47

Well the mystery continues this morning, no sign of AF, no cramps and cm has gone back to white/clear. Probably my body just messing me around but if it was implantation how soon would it show up on a hpt? Really trying not to get too hopeful!

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 08:04

Hi Jackie, I'm the same as you. No sign of af still and cm is white and creamy coloured but more of it than normal. I've had two bfn so far and am 5 days late currently. Fingers crossed for you!

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 08:05

Oh and I have a face covered in spots which I'm so not used to having had 7 years on the pill spot free.

LuciBee231015 · 30/09/2016 09:56

Kaisha, very odd! Maybe test again in a couple of days. I've heard of some people not getting their bfp's until late.

Jackie, could have been implantation then! I think it shows up 2-3 days after that as you have to give the hcg a chance to start being produced.

Fx ladies!!

bassetmum · 30/09/2016 09:57

Still no sign of af at i think 16 dpo. Another bfn this morning. My boobs are so sore and feel huge and I am annoyingly gassy which isnt the best in an office environment.

Has anyone any experience with asda early response tests? I'm wondering if there is any point buying a more expensive branded test?

LuciBee231015 · 30/09/2016 10:34

The first response ones are meant to be good I think.

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 10:41

I've seen lots of good reviews for the superdrug own brand early response. Clearly not working for me however been seen others swear by them over the expensive brands.

JackiePaper · 30/09/2016 11:23

I'm in town so just picked up some Superdrug ones. This will no doubt make AF appear lol

JackiePaper · 30/09/2016 12:59

Bfn 🙁

sarahhh1984 · 30/09/2016 13:51

Hi ladies, on the subject of tests, I found FRERs were best. When I got my BFP, I tried the Superdrug ones but I found the line was really faint to the point where I thought it was an evap. I tried an FRER on my next loo trip and got a nice clear BFP.

When I was buying HPTs I saw some reviews of the Superdrug ones that suggested they weren't as good as they used to be - but that could just be people complaining because they'd not got the results they wanted.

FRERs are cheaper on Amazon - and if you use Amazon Prime you can get free delivery. I found in store they were quite a lot more expensive. Sad

mrsg280516 · 30/09/2016 14:37

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me posting here but we are hoping to start TTC soon but I am currently on Microgynon, would anyone recommend coming off the pill earlier and using condoms until we want to get pregnant or has anyone had BFP's not long after coming off the pill?

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 15:07

MrsG its different for everyone. Some people do conceive immediately, others it takes much longer. I recommend not coming off mid cycle so you can properly track your cycle. But it's up to you about ttc now - you'd need to be prepared for if it happened now or didn't happen for a while after you finally felt ready.

mrsg280516 · 30/09/2016 15:14

Thanks Kaisha, we wouldn't mind if we did fall pg straight away and we have been ready for a few months but booked a holiday for May next year for our 1st anniversary so just wanted to be sure we weren't going to be due around that time! I think I will just come off after this pack (finishes on Tuesday) and see what happens! Excited to be on the TTC wagon!

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 15:17

That's good to know Sarahhh - thanks. Il try a different brand on Monday if af hasn't shown by then.

Kaisha02 · 30/09/2016 15:18

Good luck MrsG! Keep us posted.
