We've had a bit of a bfp success streak so let's continue that on into thread 5!!

Oh HighHopes sorry you're having a bad time. My New Years wish for the last 8 years has been for a baby with DH. We've been together for 13 years almost and wanted this a very long time. Yes, this was first cycle off my pill. We have unfortunately gone through lots of difficult patches where we have either had to delay or put off trying over the years. So now, it feels very surreal. We were like two teenagers last night in Asda getting a test. DH wouldn't let me hold it haha.

Today I've had LOADS of EWCM but thick stuff. So I'm hoping that's a good sign that all is not dried up in there haha.

Mouse Have you done an OPK - lots of EWCM could be a sign of ovulation ?
Sorry to hear that Purple - did they advise what could be done to improve the quality of his sperm in the mean time?

I've not, I'm gonna order some cheapies off eBay now. Probably too late this cycle but I'll DTD just in case haha.

Oh I am so sorry that so many of us are feeling blue today... it's so so hard to feel we have completely no control what our body is doing, I completely get it, but don't discourage!!! Be strong and take comfort in knowing that it will happen, and we will have that treasured baby, maybe not as soon as we would have hoped - I have beed waiting for something to happen for almost a year now too - but it WILL happen xx

Ooh mouse EWCM sounds good, like your body's maybe trying to push to ovulate, get dtd missy! When you say thick, how thick? When I came off the pill I had this wierd stuff, thought it was EWCM, but it was like glue (sorry tmi!) and doc said it was a mucus plug from being on the pill for 10 years.

Ah thanks highhopes nope def not just you! Yea Bit of a blow but I know a lot of people go through it. It's hard to keep positive isn't it?! Yeah they suggested zinc and l-arginine which are meant to help boost sperm motility and morphology. Went and bought some today. Hey I'll give anything a go right now.

Haha mouse! That's exactly the cringy way I described it! Yeah possibly, it's like super thick and doesn't snap when stretched between your fingers? If it is it's a good sign though as it means the spermies can get up into your cervix now

purple ooh that's interesting, my DH takes the pregnacare trying to conceive tablets for men which contain zinc, vitamin b & selinium which apparently contributes to healthy sperm & testosterone levels.
But we haven't had any tests yet...

Mouse that sounds positive, I ov'd on cd38 of my first cycle off the pill. So could just be late ov! Fx! Xx

Well I made sure I locked one in last night hahaha. I woke up with terrible lower tummy pains. I was having really bad pain on the right last night and it kinda stabbed when we were DTD a little. Still LOADS of EWCM. So it's either getting ready for AF or my little ovaries are exploding with joy as I'm pretty sure they haven't worked for 12 years hahahaha.

Ooh mouse that sounds very promising! The opks might not arrive in time! Good job dtd to cover it!

Pretty sure I just lost my "mucus plug" tonight after DTD, I've never seen anything like it before... has this happened to anyone else after coming off the pill?

Reading what everyone's just shared, I wonder if I might be a bit low on the ewcm front...
I've started the 2ww countdown, due to test on 6/11. Bassetmum how are you doing? You're testing this Sunday is that right?

If it doesn't I've read that grapefruit juice and Evening Primerose pills can help with cm, does anyone have some other natural tips?

Mrs I can't remember anything like it when I stopped the pill... sorry that's not very helpful!

Tata I am in full symptom spotting mode at the moment. I've noticed the following so far headaches, sore/heavy boobs, pinching/crampy feeling in pelvis, really sore knee today (has caused me to swear walking up stairs and driving its that sore but can't risk ibuprofen ), spots, burpy, maybe a bit of a mild queasy feeling. Also been monitoring my cervix position this month and it feels like it's going to a higher position the last two days with a medium amount of wet/creamy cm. Who knows what that all means haha. Yeah I will be testing this weekend if I can hold off testing early. I've never had a lot of ewcm just a small amount but I do get very wet over the fw so we shall see. I've seen a variety of different herbal options ladies on mn recommend for increasing the amounts of ewcm.

Mrsg at 5/6 dpo last month I lost what looked like a lump of snot like tiny bit stretchy cm which I think may have been my pill created mucus plug as I haven't had anything like that this month.

Well I googled it afterwards and it looked pretty much like what you lose before going into labour, ewww. At least the little swimmers have chance of getting to the egg now haha

Tata I hardly ever saw any ewcm and basically had to go hunting for it to find any and I still concieved so don;t worry too much I tried evening primrose capsules but they didn't help much x

tata I also had hardly any ewcm and still got a BFP. I took epo last cycle and made no difference.

Aha basset bless you, symptom spotting is the worst!!! Fingers x it's all made worth it with a bfp at the weekend!!

Thanks for the info on ewcm, I ov'd on Saturday so at least I know we didn't miss the window, let's see if we caught it . I have a blood test to check progesterone on Friday (I'm on Clomid so that's part of the process), do you think they would be able to detect an early pregnancy from that? It seems way to early as it will be cd20, but maybe a blood test can detect something a poas test can't at that point?

Afternoon ladies. Well, I'm still waiting for AF. Absolutely no sign at all. I had LOADS of EWCM this weekend, and again today. Had some pain really low down on the right over the weekend but today, nothing again. Temps still up and down like a yoyo.

And for all that remember I had bloods done last week because I've been having lots of back, pelvis and joint pain. It looks like they've found something so I'm back next week to discuss the results.
