Ah glad the scan went well Bobo! Lovely to hear! Did you have any signs of implantation at all?

BoBo90 · 18/10/2016 09:40

I had cramps at 7dpo which I hoped were implantation and I think I was right xxx

Bobo, congratulations on the successful scan! Hope you're feeling OK and not suffering with fatigue or nausea?

My early scan (had to have one due to some bleeding) placed me at 5 weeks 4 days when I thought I was 6+2 based on LMP date. When I went for my 12 week scan, by my count I should have been 12 weeks exactly, by the early scan dates I should have been 11+2. However, turns out I was actually 12+3 so I'd ov'd earlier than I thought, not later.

I asked my sonographer about this and she said that early scans are difficult because the baby is so small. If they're a millimetre out in their measurements it can change your dates by as much as a week either way. So she said take early scans with a pinch of salt since they can't be wholly accurate until 12 weeks. So you may well discover you're actually more in line with what you originally thought when you go for your dating scan in a few weeks!

tatatetelle · 18/10/2016 13:08

Congrats Mummy2 that's fantastic news for you Star

BoBo90 · 18/10/2016 13:44

Thank Sarah!!! I was but bummed about being a week earlier an couldn't understand it so I'm going to carry on thinking I'm 7 and see what they say at the 12 week scan 😊

So sorry mummy2 I missed your announcement!! Congrats!!! 🎉🍼🎉😁

Thanks all bobo are you a June baby as well??!! ShockStar

sarahhh1984 · 18/10/2016 15:03

Congratulations, Mummy2!

Yeah, Bobo, I was gutted when they put me nearly a week behind. Especially because I was pretty confident I'd ovulated at some point in a 4 day period between the end of July and the start of August. Putting me back 5 days would mean I ovulated a lot later than I thought and with no symptoms. But as it turned out I ov'd towards the start of that 4 day period which even puts me ahead of my LMP date!

Just go with your gut until the 12 week scan. When I hit the 9 week mark (by my dates) I knew I was ahead of where the sonographer said because of the week my symptoms corresponded to. It's funny, but you just kinda know. When I went for the dating scan I knew she was going to say I was a few days over 12 weeks and, low and behold, I was!

BoBo90 · 18/10/2016 15:17

I am! Baby is due 05/06 (if 7 weeks ) I'm on the ante-natal thread with you Smile

Had my midwife appointment this morning so feeling a little more real now!

I've stolen an idea from another thread and changed out list to a shareable spreadsheet. This way everyone can update it themselves when they change cycle or get a bfp Grin If you use a computer can can edit the document easily but if you are on a phone you might need to download an app. If you get it to work ask someone to update it for you and I'm sure between us all we can keep it up to date Grin

Here is the link: Spreadsheet

Really pleased to hear of your news BoBo - especially since you have had some crazy cycles from what I can remember so (1) you deserve it and (2) it has given me hope with my loopy cycles!

CD48 now and still nothing! Spoke to the doctor yesterday and although PCOS is a possibility I had an ultrasound last year plus my STI test etc was all clear which goes in my favour, so she has said that they'll monitor my bloods next cycle.....just got to wait for the bloody thing to start!

Obviously there is a chance that there wont be one if I'm PG, and that would be great, but as hopeful as I am there really are no symptoms that I'm having to make me think this is a good thing. I think its just a long cycle.

Lol LuciBee - I am so the same when it comes to the odd early test making you cave! I tested myself a week ago when I was CD42 and spent the 5 minute wait outside the bathroom as I got scared of walking in on my own test!! Confused

Its nice to be back and hearing from everyone Smile

Dixiechick1991 · 18/10/2016 17:22

Okay so I was due AF on Sunday & thought I started on Monday but I didn't it was just very light spotting. Nothing today still. But a BFN on Monday.

Anyone else ever experienced light spotting on the day AF is supposed to start but nothing else?

looby1304 · 18/10/2016 17:38

dixie I had the same last week. Nothing on day AF was due (Tuesday), a couple of days of spotting, which then stopped and I had nothing until Saturday. I tested Tuesday and Friday and had BFN. AF arrived on Saturday, but was very light. This stopped again yesterday after 3 days so I retested but unsurprisingly another BFN. Our bodies are just cruel! I'm counting myself out this month, and am telling myself that I'm imagining the symptoms I'm still having (which I think probably is the case as my BBT has dropped a bit).
Hope you work out what's going on soon - our bodies are cruel!

Dixiechick1991 · 18/10/2016 17:43

looby it's so irritating because it was literally an hour of spotting yesterday morning & then nothing since. I don't know whether to bother testing again tomorrow with FMU or just wait until the weekend?

looby1304 · 18/10/2016 18:18

I'd wait a couple more days if I was you dixie - easier said than done though I know! If yours was implantation, which hopefully it was, in a couple of days hopefully you'll get a strong positive and know for certain!

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 19:18

Dixie I don't think you're out just yet. Test this weekend if you can wait!! We can be test buddies if I last that long lol

Seven0fNine · 18/10/2016 20:17

Yeaaaaaa so glad it went well BoBo

Was so nice to update Ovia and it not just give me a load of ???
I'm back to being excited and shit scared about ttc now :D!!

tatatetelle · 19/10/2016 10:20

Hello lovelies

Hope everyone is doing well?

I'm in such a good mood I have to share! I've mentioned before I have pcos so been put on clomid for ovulation stimulation. I had my cd 11 scan this morning and the Clomid seems to be working really well!! Grin So I am back on a somewhat normal type of cycle which feels fantastic.

I have a 20mm follie all ready to hatch in the next 2 days so lots of dtd for us, and then....the dreaded 2ww I suppose (and a blood sample next week to double check progesterone levels, but the Dr said based on what she saw today she isn't anticipating anything abnormal from the test).

Is anyone on the thread looking to test wk of the 5/11 by any chance to be my 2ww buddy?

LuciBee231015 · 19/10/2016 11:05

Ohhh tata great news! Enjoy dtd!! 😁

I'm 10 dpo today, af due on Saturday. Last cycle I had sore boobs all the way from ovulation to 2 days before af and then they were fine, soreness is reducing now like last month so I'm guessing af is on the way... Will have to wait and see 😔

HighHopes16 · 19/10/2016 11:25

Great news tata ! Smile
Have you poas yet Luci or are you holding out for the weekend?

I'm feeling positive after my scan on Sunday, GP is just waiting for the results to be sent over & then he will refer me to endocrinology to discuss PCOS treatment.

I'm CD 37 (after my agnus castus induced bleed last month) not sure whether to try AC again to get things going again?

Also no idea how to work out when/if I'm ovulating, with these messed up cycles I presumed it would be later than the usual CD14 but I never got a positive OPK round that day and noticed no change in my CM.
Not sure if temping is the next step but I didn't want to get too obsessed with it all!

bassetmum · 19/10/2016 11:41

Tata what a fab scan. I should be testing on the 30th so I am a little bit before you so we can share some of the tww woes Smile.

So glad your scan went well bobo.

So I think I am either 3/4 dpo (i think it was either Saturday or Sunday I ovulated going from symptoms) and woken up to some awful eczema patches. Trying so hard not to itch them.

tatatetelle · 19/10/2016 11:43

Thanks Ladies!!

Highhopes if you've got any question at all about pcos please feel free to ask, I'm happy to share what I know / have learned from my experience xx

HighHopes16 · 19/10/2016 12:02

Thanks tata - I have so many questions! lol
I haven't been properly diagnosed with PCOS yet, as it was only suspected on a scan following my m/c is July so I'm not even sure what the treatment is?
I've read a few articles about it and it seems the best way to control the symptoms is with a low gi diet - do you follow this?
Is Clomid the first thing you've tried? Metformin is also mentioned a lot online.
Do OPK's work for you? As I've read they don't tend to work with women who have PCOS? If not, how do you work out when you're ovulating?
Did you try any of the natural/herbal remedies? I used Agnus Castus last month to bring on a bleed & have recently started taking Inositol.
That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure I'll think of more later...Thanks again!

tatatetelle · 19/10/2016 12:21

Bassetmum that would be great!! Because I have pcos I've never ovulated before, so I'm not even sure what symptoms to look our for!

Highhopes sorry for your loss in July - but the silver lining is it means you did ovulate naturally at some point - which is more than I can say since Jan, so that's very positive!

To answer your questions:

  • I don't follow particular diet but I have been a vegetarian for 2 yrs so no meat no fish for me, and I'm generally quite conscious about what I eat - I used to be a chubby kid. But I only have very light pcos symptoms (apart from the non existent ovulation).
  • Yes Clomid was the first thing they put me on - well technically they put me on progesterone first to trigger AF and then 5 days of clomid from cd2-7. But I haven't taken Metformin.
  • I don't know if opks work for me - I've never had an ovulation to track, but I should be able to tell you by the end of the week as I'm due to ovulate in the next couple of days according to the scan I had this morning.
  • As part of the treatment on Clomid I had a scan on cd11 (today) to see how I'm responding to the drug - that's how I know when I'm ovulating. If today's scan hadn't been satisfactory they would have given me another one later in the week to check in again.
  • I have been taking the standard folic acid and vitamin D, but no other natural remedies - it might be silly but I didn't want anything to interfere with what I was already doing.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask whatever comes to your mind - no silly question in my book! xx

LuciBee231015 · 19/10/2016 12:40

I poas 9 dpo and today at 10 dpo... BFN 🙄🔫

HighHopes16 · 19/10/2016 13:18

Thanks tata - that's very helpful. Really hope to see a positive ovulation test from you in the next couple of days then. Grin
How do you know that you haven't ovulated since Jan?

You're not out yet Luci !
