Thanks Ladies, I've requested a couple of quotations from my local clinics but looking at a few sites online it looks to range from £250-£400 for a private ultrasound & to discuss the results. Which we can't afford right now, unless Christmas gets cancelled!! Sad

LuciBee231015 · 05/10/2016 11:09

That is expensive highhopes.

Is it a really bad idea to continue to ttc until your appointment, you still have 60% chance of everything being ok right? Or am I being stupid?

I'm feeling rather shit today, that spotting has made me thing I ov'd early and have missed it. We didn't dtd at all for like 2 weeks up until Sunday, so would be no chance for us at all if that was the case.

Going to continue look out for ewcm and doing opks though. Fingers crossed I haven't missed my chance this cycle already 😔

Doesn't help that dh doesn't have the highest sex drive either so I feel like I'm trying all by myself 😥

Feeling sorry for myself ...

HighHopes16 · 05/10/2016 11:45

I don't know, because if I still have retained products (the scan showed my womb lining was thick meaning it's holding on to something) then I can't get pregnant as the embryo wouldn't be able to implant.

So I don't think there is any point ttc until I get this sorted out..

bassetmum · 05/10/2016 12:02

Highhopes can you contact the gynea/gp and say this delay is having an impact on your mental health as well as your physical health. I think the way you've been treated is awful.

MrsG280516 · 05/10/2016 17:11

Whoop my BBT thermometer and OPKs came today, gotta love buying from the internet. Going to start temping tomorrow.

MouseLove · 05/10/2016 17:53

Yay MrsG, go team temp

Kaisha02 · 05/10/2016 19:30

I have had very light cramping a few times today on one side so I'm hoping that's af waving at me from afar saying she's on her way..at least I hope it is! Or could it be ovulation on day 35 of my cycle? Seems far too late but what do I know about all of this.

oatybiscuits · 06/10/2016 09:00

Mrs G is a BBT thermometer different from a normal thermometer? Have I been doing it al wrong?!

MrsG280516 · 06/10/2016 09:51

oatybiscuits a BBT thermometer is just a more accurate thermometer with two decimal places so you can see even the smallest change

oatybiscuits · 06/10/2016 12:22

Ah phew. Due to having a toddler I have a full selection of thermometers so I'll stick with my peppa pig one for now Grin

MoonlightMojitos · 06/10/2016 12:56

oaty if you're charting bbt then it does need to be a bbt thermometer (to 2 decimals places) for you to be able to see the rise as change before and after ov is only about .5 degree

growcookeat · 06/10/2016 19:04

Hi all just catching up on the thread.

Highhopes that doesn't sound right at all! It's so unfair to give you such a long wait. I would definitely push for a second opinion at the gp's/hospital and like pp said explain the impact it will have on your mental health. Sorry don't know how old you are but wondering if you can argue increasing age could be a problem for you too?

I'm almost 10 weeks now. So I had my booking appointment with the mw this week. Totally overloaded with paperwork! Had to decide which hospital (choice of 3 where I live) and give consent for various screening checks. She tried to take bloods but my body wouldn't play ball so I have to get them done at hospital when I go for scan. Just waiting on a scan date now then I can get excited about telling people! My mum moves back from abroad soon so I can't wait to drop a bombshell on her. I'm still nauseous all day and soooo bloated - some colleagues have definitely got suspicions but are too polite to ask, thank god.

nmarie · 06/10/2016 19:49

Hello hope you don't mind if I join you all Grin I'm very recently TTC and stopped taking my pill early December. Experienced a withdrawal bleed and then ewcm mid month. Dtd every other day and AF is technically due Saturday providing pill withdrawal isn't causing havoc. Would love to take a test but I'm sure I'll only be disappointing myself!

nmarie · 06/10/2016 19:49

Sorry that should say September! Hmm

MoonlightMojitos · 06/10/2016 20:45

Hope you're OK today highhopes, have you thought any more about what you'll do next? I really hope you get a second opinion and would really push for further investigation. They'll surely be able to see its not good for you to be waiting around that long.

Hope you're feeling better today too luci how's it going?

mrsg how did you get on temping this morning? What cd are you on?

Good to see you checking in grow it's all very overwhelming so early isn't it! So many decisions to make.

Welcome nmarie fx everything settles down quickly for you.

Kaisha02 · 06/10/2016 21:24

I finally think af might make an appearance tomorrow. I've had very soft cramps the last two days, and when I wiped this evening there was the faintest bit of pink (tmi?). We last dtd 11 days ago so not holding out any hope it's bfp month now. My app has stopped predicting future cycles as its so past my supposed cycle length now. The app says I either have to go into pregnancy mode or log a period start date - its like it clearly knows I just want to get on with it!

MrsG280516 · 06/10/2016 22:04

I'm hoping it'll be CD1 tomorrow as I'm due by withdrawal bleed. Temping was fine this morning, 36.44 which I thought was a bit high but my hormones will be all over anyway.

HighHopes16 · 06/10/2016 22:24

I'm 25 grow so don't think I can use the age thing.
Thanks for checking up on me Moonlight - I'm feeling pretty down and not really sure what to do next. Got another quote from a fertility clinic but they want £250 just to register with a consultant then further costs for tests and treatments which we obviously can't afford.

wowwee123 · 06/10/2016 22:29

hi, thought i would join as i am coming off micronor end of this month witha view of ttc properly after christmas.

im 31 and had an mmc 2014 followed by stillbirth 2015 so an exciting but anxious time.

Kaisha02 · 07/10/2016 03:59

Af has arrived in the most excruciatingly painful way. I do not think I will be able to handle labour if I can't handle this. No amount of co-codomal is minimising this pain and I'm definitely not able to attend a conference im due to attend all day. I'm sure this is worse than I had as a teen.

Kaisha02 · 07/10/2016 04:12

Welcome wowwee Smile

LuciBee231015 · 07/10/2016 08:28

I'm not gonna lie kaisha... That sounds pretty shit.

Nothing to report from me, cd14 and negative opks. Fx I ov soon!

Welcome to the madness wowwee!

MouseLove · 07/10/2016 08:34

Urgh Keisha. Sorry about AF. I am dreading my first one off the pill. I used to have them very bad in my teens... the last time off my pill. Urgh CakeWineChocolateFlowers

I'm at a conference today too. But I've now just got used to the dull ache I've had for the last 22 days. Bloody hell its annoying. Sad

Kaisha02 · 07/10/2016 08:48

Thanks Luci - fx for you!

Mouse they really are as bad as I remember, in fact worse Sad My dh was leaving for work at 4am so was awake but did a fab job of sorting me numerous hot water bottles before he went.
I hope your dull ache turns into something soon, the wait and not knowing is so irritating.

oatybiscuits · 07/10/2016 10:07

That's miserable Kaisha I used to have periods like that in my late teens. Don't worry about labour though, you'll be allowed a lot more than co-codamol Wink
