Sorry it's all so confusing for you footy I wonder if others have similar trouble with clomid, have you read around?

Good luck with the GP tee

Hi mim hope you're on your way back up to fertile week. Hope you are okay kate

Day 13 today that came around quickly. DTD all on track and packed my OPK in my handbag for work. Still not sure if DH is going away tomorrow. If he does we can DTD Tuesday morning and again Thursday morning. Do you think missing Wednesday is okay? According to pink pad O day is Thursday...

Hey everybody
Just seen the Doc, she was really nice. Recommended blood tests on the days you girls said, so currently waiting to do my CD21 one. Also referred for a scan and an appointment with a gynaecologist! Didn't think I'd get that in the first instance, although could be a 6 week wait. Feel happy things are moving. She didn't like the look of the spontaneous bruise on my finger, so testing for clotting issues at the same time.
Jem in all honesty I would have thought DTD on the Wednesday would be ideal if ovulating Thursday. If late Thursday, a morning session would definitely be worth it tho?

Footy1 · 26/09/2016 13:17

Tee- that's great that your gp was so nice and that you have got all those tests lined up. Pleased for you. You never know it could be just what U need! Sometimes that feeling of something being done relieves a bit of anxiety and it will give u a quick BFP. Fingers crossed. X

Jem- as long as u have some swimmers up there already and manage a quickie before ovulation on the o day u should be fine. You may not ovulate til Friday morning? So give u more time?

Footy1 · 26/09/2016 13:19

Looks pretty positive again for me. Darker than yesterday. Do u think I should hold off the clomid today or take it anyway??

LondonJem · 26/09/2016 13:36

Glad it went well tee

I'm not sure what we will do this week. I don't feel like I can put that much pressure on him to call in sick. I know he won't like it and I understand why.

Feel so sad about it today I feel like my hope has just plummeted. Been looking at costs of IVF and it's all a bit scary Confused

OP posts:
Footy1 · 26/09/2016 18:45

Jem- don't worry yourself with ivf at this stage. I really don't think you will need it.
It's hard not to stress about getting the right days for dtd I always do and it causes major rows. Try to stay relaxed about it, and you never know the exact time of ovulation anyway so u may have more time then you think.

newyorklover81 · 26/09/2016 19:12

Hello Smile

I'm new to this board, me and my partner have been ttc for 12 months now, had a chemical pregnancy thugs cycle so as soon as the bleeding stops we're trying again, I have an appointment with a gynaecologist tomorrow after my go referred me a few weeks ago (before the bfp and chemical)

I am unsure whether to be honest with the gynaecologist tomorrow about the chemical? I am worried he may. Not investigate further if he thinks I did get pregnant albeit a chemical.

Btw this is baby number 5?! But first with my partner xxx

Tee4me · 26/09/2016 20:46

Oh Footy that's a positive isn't it? So I would hold off and get busy tonight and tomorrow? If no temp rise Wednesday, then think about Clomid again?
Welcome newyorklover! I'm sorry you are struggling too. If it were me, I would be honest about the chemical. I had an mc in March which my GP knew about, and that didn't stop her referring me today? But she may have a more flexible approach than others. Perhaps you'll get a sense when you meet the gynaecologist whether they'll be sympathetic or a hard-liner!

newyorklover81 · 26/09/2016 21:18

Thanks tee4me I am going to do what you said and play it by ear!

Does anyone know what will happen at this first appt? Will they ask about my medical history etc? Will they ask about conceiving my other children? I only ask I don't want my current partner to feel to uncomfortable if they're asking how long I ttcd for in the past because it wasn't with him if that makes sense!? Xx

LondonJem · 26/09/2016 22:21

Agree with tee keep at the DTD if your OH can be persuaded footy

We have DTD days 8,9,12,13 now. We can do it 14,16,17 just have to miss 15. It sounds crazy when it's in black and white like that. Can one day really make a difference? Really hope egg comes Friday so can DTD Thursday and Friday

Welcome newyork

Hope you're doing okay kate mimi and everyone else

OP posts:
Tee4me · 26/09/2016 22:40

When you put it like that Jem, I think you have a great shot! Friday ov would be perfect, hope it works out for you! Any more acupuncture lined up? Got my last (I think) session Wednesday. If not successful this cycle I'm going to have to call it a day. If I do get a BFP, I will keep it going in the first trimester. Due next Monday, so now in the 1WW! x

Russkispy · 27/09/2016 06:23

Meeting with my doctor last Wednesday went very well! Had a HSG check with dye for Fallopian tubes and they're both OPEN! My left which was blocked is absolutely OPEN!! And I'm growing 2 follicles, one is almost 10mm and the 2nd is 9x6mm! Waiting for a dominant one to grow up to 20mm. So far so good and relieved about the tubes. Oh and the doctor said I got a beautiful lining! She was very happy with it! A much better improvement from March and previous times when she checked.
Had my 2nd ultrasound on Saturday, and got 3 follicles in total! 18, 17 and 15mm. And tomorrow morning I'll be injecting myself with Ovitrelle And I'm scheduled for IUI on Monday, 1pm! DH flew over and we will use his fresh stuff. Doctor is very happy with my endometrium and lining. Thickness of endometrium was 10.5mm. she keeps saying everything looks so beautiful inside! Fingers crossed for me!
All went well yesterday. 2 follicles grew to 20mm each! 3rd follicles was around 15mm, I believe. Risk/chance/potential of twins, doctor said. endometrium grew to 14mm thick. DH's washed sperm was high class! Doc was very happy with everything! Then they put me on a drip, and gave me more drugs to take till testing 2 weeks later.
HCG and progesterone blood tests need to be done on 10th and 12th receptively. Told my dad about the procedure and ask him not to ask me for updates or raise hopes or expectations. I'm very calm about it all. Love all scientific side of it all. One of my friends called me a geek! Haha also told my acupuncturist and she's very pleased with the results. Asked the doctor if she thought that acupuncture made any difference in how things are so far, she highly recommended to carry on with acupuncture, and I will. flying home tomorrow night, resume my volunteering which I've missed and starting a little part-time job at the local NHS hospital, as an administrator. This part-time job will allow me to move freely if needed a second IUI as I'll definitely coming back here. The care is just outstanding! Positive thinking is a must but won't be too upset as I've got a plan B and C if/when it comes to it. We've been checked out and we're not infertile which is a main thing. We're just giving a little nudge to make things happen sooner/quicker. Fingers crossed for us

Thank you all for your support! And good luck to all! 💐💐💐

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 07:36

Russ-that all sounds amazing! Bet you are so relieved to get the all clear. Your foli's are a good size (just from what I've read) so u have a really good chance. Did u start the clomid? Or is that a plan B? Can't remember?
Really hope it works out for you and you have all such good support. Keep us posted!

Tee- yep I held off clomid as had cramps and tingling nipples!
Managed to dtd. Good news.. That temp rose up this morning from 36.30 to 36.50 so a clear jump. So fingers crossed it will continue to rise and confirm ov. First night also without the hot flashes, so hoping I've ovulated. Read that clomid causes these up until ovulation so that's what made me suspicious that I hadn't quite managed to ovulate last week.
Hope your 1week wait goes super fast!

Jem- if you can do all those dates, I think you will have a good chance. Fingers crossed you get to ovulate on Friday?
Or even earlier if u ov wed. You are well covered.

Welcome newyork ! in my first appt with gp they only look at age, asked how many children I had etc and any current medical issues ie cramps, missed periods etc.... They didn't ask anything about my DH. Only because I had issues with absent periods did they investigate with tests and scan. All this was done whilst I waited for gynae appt (which came through within 3weeks.

They didn't ask how long I tried though.

The gynaecologist however is much more thorough. They did ask that though and also medical history, how they were delivered etc.., all about your lifestyle, alcohol consumption, any abortions, and any miscarriages, smoking, past sti's, dh's medical history. Then was sent for more bloods and a scan.
Wow number 5!! That's great. Think you should mention the chemical, as they will do other investigations like maybe check your lining and scan for any possible probs. Brief your partner before maybe that they may ask u about conception of your other children. He's with you now so sure he'll understand.. X

Mimilicious013 · 27/09/2016 07:37

Wishing you all the best russ.hope all goes to plan and you will be getting a bfp soon. You positive attitude is impressive, good luck.

Welcome newyork and here is hoping all is well and it's just a matter of time.

Wow jem, you make me look like I'm not doing anything lol.last cycle hardly dtd.your pattern is good fx you add more congaWink

Glad all went well at the doctors tee,now it's a matter of waiting and fx you get a sneaky bfp at the end of the cycle.

Oh foot sorry it's all confusing. Hope you dtd last night because that opk looked positive

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 07:42

Hey mimi, good to hear from you. Yes managed to dtd last night although it was a challenge I must say. I do feel like I can't wait for a 2week break!!

Hope you are feeling ok and giving this cycle another shot for trying. Where are you in cycle? X

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 07:43

Busta- still thinking of you too! Hope you are ok. X

Mimilicious013 · 27/09/2016 07:49

Morning foot .well done girlSmile.lt gets tiring indeed.this month I'm going to try and give it my all.dh stopped drinking so luck might be on our side.lm on cd9 and dtd last night.hoping to go for cd8,10,12,14 if I can lol

LondonJem · 27/09/2016 07:55

tee I like 1WW! Good idea to keep up acupuncture in first trimester. I've got my last session tomorrow, just in time for ovulation.

Hurrah russ wonderful news! Everything crossed for you. It's amazing what they can do and to know we have options if good old fashioned DTD won't work

Sounding positive for you footy really well timed DTD too

Hello mim

Had a bit of an emotional morning. DH couldn't do it, he got so stressed out and upset, I think the test results are playing on his mind. I got upset and said if he goes into work we miss Tuesday and Wednesday - so no sex in run up to O. He called in sick. I think he's really cross and upset with me but we only get these couple of days each month. The longer it goes on without bfp the more stressful it gets, the more likely we are to have to resort to IVF or other medical intervention. We don't want that.

So we can now DTD all week, but I feel guilty BlushSad

OP posts:
Tee4me · 27/09/2016 08:15

Wow Russ all sounding great! So many options and lots of support throughout the process. You will get there in no time. My acupuncturist said that it helps to build a good lining and prepare body for pregnancy, so perhaps that has helped you if such a dramatic difference to March! Restores my faith a bit.
Footy great news!! Let's hope that egg finally popped out!! You've done so well to keep up with DTD.
My Doctor did say yesterday that DHs should continue to 'release' at least twice a week outside of ovulation to keep their supply fresh. We're very guilty of going 'off the boil' in the 2ww.
Jem sorry you've had such a stressful morning! Don't feel guilty, it's understandable you wouldn't want to waste a cycle! You'll both feel better once you've DTD and covered all the important dates, giving yourselves the best chance. If you get your BFP it'll be the best thing he ever did and that guilt can turn into much deserved smugness!!!!
Hey Mim, my DH also stopped drinking this cycle, let's hope that helps! Good luck with hitting those dates, should give you a decent shot!
If not successful this month, I have to force myself to continue DTD after expected OD, I'm terrible for stopping abruptly, but could have easily been misjudging ovulation all this time. I rarely make it past CD14!

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 09:59

The thought of another session tonight is making me tired already. I really don't think he'll be up for it again tonight. I find it really difficult in the week as he's always tired from work. I'm praying that the egg has popped out! Seriously am.. I feel so drained.

On cd22Star today and so far we dtd-
4,5,6,7,8,12,14,17,18,19,21

Knackered!!

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 10:01

Jem- don't feel too bad, it's good that he did that for u. Maybe make him a romantic dinner or lunch. ? Treat him like a king- he will then treat his queen Wink

Footy1 · 27/09/2016 10:04

Giving up drinking from now... DH limiting it to weekends also.

By the way we been trying from behind this cycle. DH asked last night if he's too ugly to look at now! Grin ha ha

Mimilicious013 · 27/09/2016 11:13

Lucky you jem, enjoy bding and l agree with foot,he deserves a treat.my dh is so hard headed he would never do that for me.

Hats off foot ,you guys are maniacs lol.thats an interesting thought from your oh haha.lf only he knew.

Russkispy · 27/09/2016 11:49

Thank you, my lovely ladies!
Footy - was taking Clomid cd5-9 and when had my first US on cd8, she gave an extra Clomid for cd10. And had a bunch of extra vitamins and estradot patch, daily on my belly hahaha I'm a poet! Hahaha and now I'm still taking all these extra bunch of vitamins till my HCG and progesterone tests on 10th and 12th October. Will have to get them done back at home. Looking for options and it's a mission! NHS won't even speak to us! Oh well, don't need or want them anyway! So asked my "old" fertility clinic and for £65 (for both, same day results), all sorted!
