You are not out until you are out jem.hoping for your surprise bfp...

Russkispy · 13/09/2016 08:47

I'm 40
DH41
TTC #1
Cycle #5

I think I'm CD30 and 5 days of brown spotting which never happened before! Usually is 2 days prior AF. So not sure what's happening here and why! It's not even on panties, but it's kind of sitting inside. Sorry TMI! Feeling extremely tired and there's a sharp pain in my back, on the right. But not muscles, I believe. I have no idea. No any other symptoms.
I'm also scheduled to fly to Riga to the clinic. To double check my Fallopian tubes and potentially have an IUI. But where's AF!?? Clomid is here but can't start till the bastard AF turns up. But is she!? As I said AF usually and regularly turns up 2 days after brown spotting/discharge. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also, made an appointment with a reflexologist (specialising in fertility) on Thursday. See what she can do for us. Has anybody else tried reflexology?

Thank you for staring a new thread! And congratulations to Nim!!

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 13:05

Have you tested russ?

OP posts:
Busta · 13/09/2016 14:15

Hey Mimi, 7 DPO & felt a sharp pain this morning in my uterus when making my coffee - hoping & praying it may be implantation but I've learned not to get my hopes up too much.
What day are you testing? I know you are keeping it relaxed but have you had any signs that stood out?

Jem - hoping it doesn't turn in to AF!

Ps hope everything is still OK?

Would be great if Footy & Tee ovulated & conceived at the same time. Cycle & pregnancy twins. Fingers crossed this is your cycle guys!

Fingers crossed for you too Kate!! Dont get to down about DH, I think sometimes their brain isn't wired to their mouth so they say idiotic things. You can get your own back when you get crazy pregnancy hormones Grin

It is nice to hear from all the Grads - be great when we can all join you on the grads board!

Hi slmc!

slmc · 13/09/2016 14:24

Hi busta

I had this pain too which I'm hoping is implantation cramps! I've already done 3 tests over the weekend, BFN! when are you testing? I don't know how long to wait I don't want to do it too early and be disappointed Hmm

Tee4me · 13/09/2016 14:47

Fingers crossed slmc & busta!** We're on a roll with BFPs so keep it going!
Jem don't trust the boobs!!! It's horrible when those doubts creep in, but just think about all the grads on here who were shocked by their BFP. I remember Parney feeling adamant she was out. Got everything crossed for you.
Hey twinny Footy!! More ewcm today but yesterday opk was still faint. I'm hoping it's not early, as DH has a rotten cold and everything was set for lots of DTD over the weekend. Will try tonight just in case, DH says he will solider on if need be. Running out of opks, might temp for the next few days.
My acupuncturist emphasised how before ov is definitely the most important time to DTD. Reckons there's only a 9 hour window after ov. The needles were quite painful this week for the first time! It's left a bruise on my ankle, and the one in my tummy felt really sharp, plus the forehead one bled! How you getting on with it Jem?? Footy can't remember if I asked or if you answered whether you asked for extra fertility needles during your back session?

Tee4me · 13/09/2016 14:49

What's with all the bold?! Confused

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 16:40

I've started spotting. Reckon AF in full by morning. Hello cycle 10 Sad

OP posts:
physicskate · 13/09/2016 18:30

Oh Jem I'm so sorry! Could still be implantation...?

Pretty sure I am 1 dpo. Temp spiked this morning. Dtd last night, so dtd ov day, ov -1 and ov -3 in the fertile window... which is AMAZING going for us! So we've done what we can...

Russkispy · 13/09/2016 18:36

Jem - haven't tested and brown spotting/discharge is getting runny. sorry, TMI. Reckon AF turns up tomorrow, I just want to know now! Why can't it be just so bloody straight forward! FFS!
And if it's AF, then I'm definitely having and IUI when in Riga. Will let you know.

Tee4me · 13/09/2016 19:08

Bollocks Jem, I'm so sorry. How many dpo after you? Could it be implantation? If not, will you keep going with acupuncture? I think 2 cycles worth could really make the difference. Also, like me, you know a couple of crucial times were missed because of DH, so you can give him a massive guilt trip to secure his duties for next month. Hope it doesn't come to that and AF stays away.
Russ hoping the same for you.

Hurrah Kate sounding promising Smile

I'm 12 DPO tee bless you but I doubt it's IB. The last couple of months I've spotted before AF, she will be here tomorrow. It's okay I'm not too surprised. Not sure about acupuncture it's so expensive! £250 for 5 sessions Shock

OP posts:
slmc · 13/09/2016 19:23

Fingers crossed you all girls! in now 13 dpo, AF was due Friday so now 4 days on. Still BFN although I've been having cramps the last couple of days. Could this be implantation? when should I test again?? DRIVING MYSELF CRAZY!! OH kept falling asleep on OV so I doubt I would of caught Angry

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 19:25

Russ reckon it's worth a test fingers crossed!

Footy1 · 13/09/2016 20:34

Sorry Jem, I really hope you will get a surprise and it's ip bleed. I was so hoping you would be next! Sad

Tee- haven't been yet for my next session as my block of sessions I had have finished so was going to book more soon. Seen a specialist for my back& neck and they recommended swimming/gym work to strengthen my muscles surrounding spine so I'm working on that right now. Everything so expensive. Joined a gym which is rather lush! So been enjoying getting back into fitness, swimming and relaxing in the spa. Feel so much better already. So many people I know have lost weight, increased their metobolic rate and fell pregnant so I'm holding onto that and trying this tactic. So hungry today watching kids eat pizza and I'm sitting eating salmon and salad. Hmm

Line on opk today but not quite a positive. (These were a new pack of IC opks but they're different from the other ones I've used before and much fainted in general), so bit dubious. Had so many aches and felt like ovaries were grumbling! Sensitive boobs also so I praying it'll happen tonight. As managed lots of dtd this week- DH away tomorrow morn til thurs.

PurpleOwl86 · 13/09/2016 20:41

Purple, 30
Graduate - 8 weeks pg with #1
Due - 19th April

I have never felt this exhausted in my life. Sometimes I sit down and feel like I want to spend the rest of my life without moving. I keep thinking if I'm this tired now, how am I going to care for a newborn?'

Fingers crossed to all!

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 20:58

Thanks footy hon. Hope you get your egg tonight.

Purple I think first trimester is known for tiredness? Hope it eases up

OP posts:
physicskate · 13/09/2016 21:20

Oh poop. A job I really want to apply for has just come up... Not that I would be with a look-in, but you don't ask, you don't get! Crap!! I am so not qualified for it, but two people at work have come up to me and said I'd make a good Head of Department, and now the role has come up at another good school - an hour away! Oh poop!!! What do I sacrifice, family (would have to put ttc on hold), or career?? Sometimes I hate being a woman!

Purple, sorry you aren't feeling amazing, but I too hear this is a problem for many during the first trimester!

LondonJem · 14/09/2016 08:37

Could you pop a cheeky application to find out more Kate?

Still spotting Envy feel quite crampy so think will come on properly this morning. It's frustrating AF is teasing me like this, just want to get on with it now.

OP posts:
Russkispy · 14/09/2016 08:49

Got AF this morning. Not sure what ideas spotting for 5 days. Hmmmm. Anyway it's here now. I'm ready for Clomid+trigger and IUI for my next cycle. So I'm off to Riga next Wednesday for check ups, scans, ultrasounds etc to. Will keep you posted from there.

Physics, I won't put TTC on hold. There are plenty of jobs and they will still come along. I think TTC and get pregnant is more important. But that's my humble opinion.

Jem, hope AF stays away for you.

LondonJem · 14/09/2016 08:55

Sorry russ, the spotting first is such a tease. It's great you have the plan now swinging into action ready for your next egg. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm still waiting but don't really have any doubt it will come. /taps foot impatiently

slmc · 14/09/2016 08:55

AF arrived this morning! Positive note, I now know by cycle is 33 days! fingers crossed for next month! Defo not going to be telling OH when I'm ovulating so he doesn't feel like a baby making machine Blush

Russkispy · 14/09/2016 09:23

Thanks Jem,
The acupuncturist just emailed and said 5 days of spotting this time wasn't anything to worry about. As long as it doesn't become regular. Well, I bloody hope not and get a big fat BFP next cycle. Wishful thinking but I'm not giving up or becoming defeated! Not a chance!

Footy1 · 14/09/2016 11:50

Purple- I remember feeling like that with my pregnancies at the start. Have you been feeling nauseous too? Luckily I felt much better after 20 weeks and started to bloom. Hopefully you will feel better sooner than that. I use to eat little and often, found it helped energy levels.

Kate-that's really awkward isn't it knowing what to do for the best. Think if I was in your position I'd continue ttc, as in a years time (when I guess you would eligible for mat pay? Depends on contract etc..) you might be really desperate and it might take time. You might regret not trying sooner. Can u not take job anyway and if it happens it happens? Would be law of sod! :)

Russ & slmc - sorry AF has arrived.SadFlowers good u have next plan lined up Russ- hope U get on alright. slmc -At least u know your cycle is only just slightly longer. Good luck next cycle.

Jem- so sorry honFlowershas she arrived yet? X
